The slightly eccentric eating, cooking and travel adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

Wow, only $32 for a taste of Michiba's creations? Wish I had read this before my trip to Japan.

p/s: I should stop reading your blog - you're making me very hungry.

Hi D-Wonderful, how exciting! I don't recall if it was available on weekends but if you email them in English they should be able to answer you. In Japan they can read English very well but speaking it is not as widespread :)

Hehe yes I have got all of my other overseas travels up as well! :)

Hi NQN

I am heading to Japan next week and would love to eat at Michibas restaurant. I won't be able to reserve until I get there (and get our concierge to reserve =) and will only be free in Tokyo on 2 Saturdays and my last day - a Tuesday. Would you know/remember if their lunch special menu 3150 JPY is available on weekends?

OT I always check out your blog and didnt even realise you had Tokyo reviews until I googled the Alice in Wonderland restaurant and your review came up!

Hi Cappucino-Have fun at Michiba's restaurant :) They don't often have big portions in Japan though so definitely write down how to ask for the biggest item on the menu.
