The slightly eccentric eating and cooking adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

Hi! I'm also a fan of LKK Char Siu sauce, but have always used it in quick sauteed pork and chicken dishes as I don't have an oven as of the moment. This recipe is something I'd look forward to making once I get an oven or an outdoor grille. :)

Hi Helen-I love meaty bones, they're so flavoursome. I get to keep the bits with the bone, its my "cook's treat" to compensate for slaving over a hot oven and almost burning myself. Workers comp so to speak ;)

I often use char siu sauce on pork belly but confess I've never made my own char siu. Yours looks just like the shops! I like the idea of cooking it on the bone though. Much more tender than using a fillet, I expect!
