The slightly eccentric eating and cooking adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

Hi Adrian-Awesome! I agree, the ramen itself can't be beat. I guess that's why Iron Chef Sakai visited. Word has spread across the seas :)

I just tried Ryo's Noodles last night. Simply put, it is the best ramen in Sydney by far. I tried the Special Ramen (which is Combination 2&3) and Pork Rice Ball. Next time I have to try that Miso Spaghetti.

Hi Geofferiah - Sorry it took me so long to reply! I do agree, everything is good there. I think a revisit is in order now that the weather is turning cold :)

Hi Benn-5 minutes walk away? Lucky you! There's definitely a reason to visit ;)

In Japan you can find ramen shops that do one dish or soup really well, the exceptional thing about Ryo's is that he does everything so well. Everything is made from scratch, and the results are magnificent! There is no competition.

BTW. As a small, cheap, busy shop it's not a place to linger with a bottle of wine.
