The slightly eccentric eating, cooking and travel adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

Hi, I know this is a bit late, but they're holding another Iron chef event this year (2010). Do they hold an event every year in Sydney? Do you know how we can get updated about their events? So jealous haha

Hi there, I just came across your site last night and its been a fabulous night going through your reviews :)

We had the last minute privilege of being at this event. I would also be the one in jeans/tshirt that you mention and also the one that got prize for having a birthday! Best Birthday ever! We had originally missed out on tickets but we got a call 2hrs before the event due to a cancellation. I told my boss that I had to leave work straight away to get into the city!
We got the last table right next to the door with another last minute couple and we all had an absolute ball. Chen kept sneaking in to have a chat with us (Jenny at our table was chinese) and at one point Chen shoo-ed away the waiters so he could make sure he served us himself.
The night was absolutely priceless in my books. I got to hug my favourite Iron Chef!! :D

Hi Leslee-Oh great! :) I'm in the same situation as you, my husband doesn't want me to buy tickets for this years event (nor did he for last years, it was just by luck that I won the competition!)

I have just found your site and it is brilliant. My husband, daughter and I went to the Iron Chef Dinner and what a fabulous night that I will cherish forever. They are having another three nights in December, 2nd,3rd & 4th but I can't get my husband to agree for the second year in a row. Maybe next time. Keep up the good work
