The slightly eccentric eating and cooking adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

What a perfectly wonderful idea! I'd be tempted to flambé a Christmas pudding with some of the vodka or use it in a liqueur coffee after a heavy meal.

And of course, you could use it in mincemeat instead of rum or brandy to really push up the flavour.

Thanks for the recipe!

Hi Nic-I guess you could drink it straight although my husband assures me that it is VERY strong straight  I pour it over vanilla ice cream with the drunken fruit. Sure, I'd be happy to share some of my vodka cocktail recipes, I just need to have another dinner party! I haven't had one in aaages... :(
