The slightly eccentric eating and cooking adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

Hi kaydee-Yes you're right, they do seem to do things differently. Although I wish they were all the same, surely it can't be that hard? People like consistency-well at least I do

Oh if I didn't have the ricotta hotcakes for lunch on the weekend I would so be rushing out there now. YUM!

I find the different locations do the dishes differently - Darlinghurst tends to put the honeycomb butter on top and inbetween the layers ... but they are yummy either way, I reckon.

Hi Alison-Coconut bread and fruit compote sounds like a great idea for a fussy friend! :D Fussy friends can be soooo hard to cook for!

Hi Belinda-Yes I agree this is definitely the best Bills. The hand clapping seems a bit odd (and annoying!).
Thanks so much! :D

This is my favourite bills - I love the chicken schnitzel with potato salad *yum* - only thing is if you sit inside, the chef clapping loudly when each meal is ready is SO annoying!
Love your blog :)

Excellent idea! I have a fussy friend and her husband coming for brunch in a couple of weeks - coconut bread and a fruit compote will do nicely, I think!

Thanks for the post, and the idea that sprouted from its lines.
