The slightly eccentric eating and cooking adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

The choc biscuit was definitely made of cardboard, but the ice-cream sundae was delicious! However, after paying $8.50 to eat in, you'd think they'd serve it to you in a plate, not a plastic bowl . . .

Hi Maria-I agree it can be hit and miss. I was at a total loss as to how my friend's sable biscuit could be completely devoid of flavour. Even plain biscuits have a buttery flavour!

And you're right, the best, most reliable thing is the Lindor ball. Whilst the I love the Delices, not all of them are hits.

Having said that, I could go for a dozen of the lemon delices.... *dreams*

It's not often I can say that I've been somewhere you have .. and yes, I've eaten-in at the Lindt cafe! I'm not entirely sure I'd go back again. I'd probably pick-up some takeaway Delice's because you make them sound so yummy! I have to say while some things we ordered from the Lindt cafe were very good.. others were very disappointing.. including a couple of the drinks we ordered and a couple of sweet treats too (there were 5 in our party). It was kind of hit and miss. My favourite chocolate in the world however is simply a 3 pack of milk 'Lindor' .. or "Lindt balls" as we call them. :-)

Hi airy fairy-Me too! They're so light and sweet and small. So I'm convinced that they're not so bad for you  Yes we have great summers here-there are so many outdoor events staged in Jan and Feb here but we've had oddly rainy weather this year.

Hi Mel-If they had somewhere to park I think I'd be there more often. Which come to think of it is not a good thing  Apparently the hot chocolate dine in is really good. I might save that experience for winter!

I've been in the same boat for some time-- I've carried away far too many drinks from the Martin Place Lindt Cafe. I've never actually sat down.

I was quite disappointed at first glance-- my boyfriend's iced chocolate in its little plastic takeaway cup made me grimmace. Only goes to show, you can't judge a candy by its wrapper!
