I made a Red Velvet cupcake <a href="http://www.notquitenigella.com/2008/02/13/red-velvet-heart-cupcakes-and-hearts-alla-vodka-for-a-red-hot-valentines-day/" rel="nofollow">here</a>, I don't know how the recipe compares of Magnolia (that link isn't working) so you could certainly try that.
