The slightly eccentric eating and cooking adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

I must say i have been to both, But i find the Colefax shop to be too posh at its current state. They have made a concept like the Lindt cafe and the cafe always seems to be short staffed.
One person to run the cafe area is just not efficient.
They do make great chocolates but i find that Belle fleur has more original and extrodinary designs. Packaging is a problem at belle fleur and i believe this their weakness that they should address.

Hi Maria-Ahhh good taste. Sometimes the simplest are the best! I still can't believe Raffaelo's don't have chocolate in them, they taste so white chocolatey!

Hi Maria-I was wondering where you had gone! I missed your lovely comments but am glad to see you are back :)

That's a good idea rating them, I should have done that! I know white chocolate is really not the sophisticated one to like but I am afraid I do like it.

Lindor balls are great aren't they. Which is your favourite flavour? I like plain old milk with the Lindor balls but also loved their cookies and creme one that the Lindt store sold for a while back-they were scrumptious!

I have some catching up to do on your website.. I'm so sorry Lorraine.. but you were never far from my mind!

I would very much like the "Pamela".. and the choc coated coffee beans & cappucino cup. I'd probably love the "Alannah" but only if it were covered in dark chocolate or even milk (my fav).. I'm not a white choc fan.

Thank you for showcasing these fine specimens!

Whenever I have bought beautiful looking truffles and chocolates.. often I will rate them a 6 or 7 out of 10.. I've not ever been blown away.. Not yet anyway! My faithful friend is the Lindor milk ball :-)

Hi Y-Their store is right on the other end of Darling Street, opposite where Rozelle Markets usually is so perhaps that's why you haven't been. I need another visit to Zumbo and I need to have a first visit to Victoire! I love Balmain for food...

What amazing displays! I must admit, I love belle fleur, but I haven't bothered to visit their store before. Considering they're on the same street as Zumbo and Victoire! Maybe because anytime I'm in the area, I'm too caught up browsing in Zumbo and agonising over what to get.

By the way, that chocolate cup is so cute :)

Hi Rosa-I totally agree about poor quality chocolate being a waste of time and calories. I find it never satisfies anyway as it either tastes like plastic or if its too sweet, I don't like that either. These are definitely worth the calorie consumption ;)

Oh, I am utterly drooling now! Gosh... After that, I'm sure any chocolate I see tomorrow will be a let-down - good for the hips, I suppose! We were talking tonight how it always feels like a waste of calories to eat poor quality chocolate - and these are the ones that make the extra consumption worth it! Wow...
