They had it on a sign that the "Fish of the day" was and it said Hake so I was disappointed but didn't realise it would be so terrible. I think they usually have flake (shark) which is tastier but some people don't like that idea so perhaps they give us hake instead which tastes like nothing. Fish served with fish n chips in sydney seems to be a fish called Hake and I despise it! I'm used to flake which is meatier and doesn't fall apart like hake does. What's a good fish to order that isn't hake? Will definitely try out the calamari soon, definitely fresh when it just melts in your mouth like that! Especially a rather expensive to live at seaside location at that :lol: We were very close to ordering just a serve of calamari it was so good. Usually the fish is good though so that was a bit disappointing. I found it all reasonably priced..especially for a seaside establishment! The lobster mornay was a good price! I'd be curious about the seafood chowder and oysters.
