The slightly eccentric eating, cooking and travel adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

Hi Maria-It is such a quintessential Sydney view isn't it!?

Oh dear, you poor thing, that's terrible and yes there's nothing worse than bad smoked salmon. And when it goes off, it goes so ferociously off that nothing can get rid of the smell.

I love sauces too, you know the 4 shelves in your fridge door that you keep your sauces in? All 4 shelves are full and the top shelf in the fridge itself is full of sauces and jams

Hehe that wasn't my husband, it was my rather grumpy colleague who I nickname Voldemort! My husband would've probably not even noticed that they brought the wrong meal and happily wolfed down the pancakes

The view reminds me of spending time with my sister in Sydney!

I like my smoked salmon uncooked too. I'm quite reluctant to order smoked salmon these days as I've had some bad runs with poor quality salmon.

The breakfasts are delicious to look at!

The yellow hollandaise just looks gorgeous.. I love sauces! Sorry to hear that your hubby (?) had his order mixed up. Did they serve any kind of fancy croissants at this establishment?

Hi Popeye-Hehe yeah I can imagine it'd be totally crowded on a sunny weekend morning. I went on the very opposite of that-a rainy weekday and the view was still lovely!

Hi Brittany-It's a great place to take visitors and really makes the most of Sydney's Harbour. Thanks, I'm glad you're finding it useful! :)

This sounds like a good place to take my mom when she comes to visit. Your blog has lots of great recommendations. I keep bookmarking spots I have to go while I'm in Sydney.
