Reminder: The Banana Bread Bake-off ends tomorrow!

remember

Currently with over 60 entries, I am amazed and overjoyed at the amount of entries and the creativity shown with the Banana Bread Bake-off. There are some truly spectacular entries. Don’t forget the prize: a DIY cupcake set that I’ve put together featuring 25 mini pleated souffle cups (like the ones I used here), 12 royal icing flowers, a cake tester and sprinkles. Shipped to anywhere in the world!

Just a reminder that entries are due midnight on the 12th May 2008 Australian Eastern Standard Time (see www.timeanddate.com) I can’t wait to share the entries with you, I think you’ll be as impressed as I am!

Love,

NQN

Over 60? WOWWW… what competition we are all up against ye!! You are one popular chicky, drawing so much interest with this beaut competition. I have checked out a couple of entries (where people left links to their blogs) and I was impressed. I hope you have another cooking/baking competition soon!

Oh yes, I thought nice bling too! And you have nice hands.. I say that because I have my father’s sausage fingers, not my mother’s long, lean, feminine fingers (sniffle)…

Hi Y-no problems, maybe another time? :)

Hi Maria-Yup, I can’t believe it! The standard of entries is amazingly good. To think that the humble Banana Bread could have so many delicious version!

Hehe thanks, although I think I have old ladies hands (wrinkled). My mum said it was because I was always doing housework when I was little and tidying up so much  Awww I bet your hands are lovely!

I’m sorry, this may be a bit off topic from the main post, but I got such a giggle out of Maria’s, “I have my father’s sausage fingers,” comment. This is too funny.

Like NQN, I think I too have wrinkled, old lady hands (and I’m not THAT old!) but I’m always commenting on how my angel-baby toddler has roley-poley sausage feet, and well, until Maria’s comment, I haven’t heard others mentioning their sausage appendages, so thanks for the giggle!

Back to the main post - loved the idea behind this bake-off. What fun!

Hi Sandie-Perhaps everyone, bar George Costanza, thinks that their hands look odd? A friend of mine made me laugh the other day, she was worried that her baby didn’t have ankles yet. She just had cute baby sausage legs.
