The slightly eccentric eating and cooking adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

Hi Shannon-Thankyou so much! :)Yes I think vegetarian recipes can be much healthier and that things like diabetes are becoming more prevalent. One of the best way to avoid Diabetes is to add fibre via vegetables (haha can you tell I watch Dr Oz on Oprah?). Thanks again! :)

Hi steph-Thanks so much! Do let me know what you think of it :)

I came across this blog and am so very happy I did! Your pictures are absolutely stunning and I love the selection of different recipes. I highly agree that more and more people are including vegetarian meals in their diets more today than ever. I do believe it's because we have a rising epidemic of obesity in the world now more than ever as well. Plus, the health benefits are a major factor as well. I have noticed a steady increase in the amount of views on my site for vegetarian and even vegan recipes. It's becoming more and more of the norm these days. I have greatly enjoyed your blog and will definitely be back! Thank you for your wonderful recipes and post!

Hi Y-I think that if it sounds too healthy that can put people off (hardcore meat eaters) but I like the idea of it being quite virtuous too. How was your Wagyu burger? Did you make it at home or go somewhere for it?

Hi Maria-Fantastic! It's always good to get kids used to it. And I don't think these taste so vegetably. It's still got that nice, thick texture. Thankyou :) The wedges are homemade using Nigella suggestion of adding a tablespoon of semolina once the potatoes are parboiled and then baking them. It makes them so crunchy without a lot of fat.

Can't wait to see your pictures! :)

Hi Rebecca- I think this recipe works really well with whatever sort of veges you have (within reason  ) so I can see the carrot working most definitely.

Hi Alexandra-Hehe thanks!

Mmm I haven't but I'd love to. I love mushrooms so I might try that next time! :)

I love burgers too, I know they're supposed to be simple food but there's something so delicious about a good burger.

HI Cappucino-Funny, that's how I see myself! Happy to eat almost anything :)

Hi LisaRene-Thankyou so much! :) I hope you like them, I made another batch straight after this due to popular demand

although i can't be sure, i predict that i would like the sweet potato and lentil burger the best as well. just something about the combination of beans and sweet potatoes makes me happy. :) this was a clever idea!
