I love honey joys! It was fantastic seeing my then 15 month old have one for the first time at a 1st b-day party! The look on her face was like “these are awesome … where have you been keeping them all this time?!?”

I should be a good Mama and make her some … have to hide them from Ducky’s Daddy, though! lol

I haven’t had a Honey Joy for years but I think it’s because I’ve had some bad ones. Often because of stale Cornflakes to start wtih! Or just stale Honey Joys!

I’ll have to consider making these, I know my girl would love them! Your look very enticing!

Hi Y-Yeah those toffees are bad, And nothing worse than eating paper! I used to just lick the hundreds and thousands off til they lost their colour and became white and then disappeared. Then I threw it away

Hi belle-I hope they do in a way! Although I wonder if they have replaced by friands and more “exotic” fare?

Hi SoRMuiJAi-I adore Crunchy nut cornflakes, I think adding more nuts to it would make it even more delicious!

Hi shella-They sound awesome, I sometimes eat peanut butter with crunchy nut cornflakes by the spoonful so it sounds similar to that. What do you call your little creations?

Hi Cindy-Haha it’s funny about the toffees, I don’t think so much sugar is good to feed kids although our parents never gave it a second thought. I’d be trying to give them things to calm them down. Although I don’t think kids would go to Chamomile tea

Hi Kim-It’s definitely ok to make these for grownups, I wonder what it would be like if you put a little alcohol in the butter and honey? I made a Whisky sauce for a Louisiana Bread and butter pudding once and that was great. Or perhaps it would make them soggy, I don’t know. but worth a try!

Well, I am totally clueless about these. Sad about it, as my daughters are grown and they look good. I don’t suppose it is okay to make a batch for grown-ups? Love the china.

Yup, I’m a Honey Joy lover too, and when I think of it, I make them just for myself (but I do share with my kids hehe). Thanks for reminding me, looks like I’m a bit overdue for some more

My mum used to make those toffees for us. It drove me nuts that the paper was always stuck to it, but gosh they were great to eat. I think I too would go into sugar shock if I had one now though LOL.

ah, my mum used to make these when we went on holidays, as snacks on long car drives… they keep very well in a sealed container.
