The slightly eccentric eating, cooking and travel adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

Love your site! The reviews and pics are fab! Also the inclusion of the map down the bottom of the page is really helpful.

I visited Wagaya on Friday night, having made a reservation a week earlier, with 4 other people. We had mountains of fresh yummy food and a bottle of plum wine and it worked out to less then $30 a head!

Highly recommend this place!

Hi Charmanda-Oh cool! Yes it's hard to tell exactly how big some things are from the pics :)

Hi Y-It is a bit gimmicky but the food is pretty decent. It's not haute cuisine or Kaiseki but for dishes under $10 it's pretty good value. No, he can't fake it, the night before he had too much wasabi and couldn't speak for a few minutes!

I thought this place would be too gimmicky, .. and it looks like it is, but the food doesn't seem too bad either. That roulette sushi looked like it had a horrific amount of wasabi on it though.. are you sure your husband wasn't on the floor in tears, when he bravely claimed the wasabi was actually pretty mild? :D

I've tried it and I think it's quite good. The pictures were sometimes a tad deceiving lol. Something that looked tiny in pics turned out to be HUGE!

Hi Bean Sprout-I'd love to know what you think. You're welcome, hope you like it :)

Hi Popeye-That is very true! I wonder what he would think of the touchscreen ordering as well!

Hi D-Thanks for the evil idea  I loved it but I didn't try it on them, they both love wasabi so they were actually hoping to get the piece in question!

Hi FFichiban-Thanks! Haha that's so funny that your friend is in it

Hi grace-You're definitely no seafood fan at all are you?

Hi SydneyGal-Kids would love it. Which game do you mean, the touchscreen or the sushi roulette?

Hi Angela-My dining companions were hoping they'd get the piece. Meanwhile I was frightened that I would

Hi Sandie-Very true indeed! It was so quick and no misunderstanding at all. We also didn't feel neglected at all either :)

Hi Sadao-Definitely! There should be more of these :)
