The slightly eccentric eating, cooking and travel adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

We ate at the Roppongi venue last week and it was to die for (as was the bill at the end...but worth it!) The mash I have to say was the best I have ever eaten, and I especially loved the touch of shaved truffles. Drool.

Hi grace-I didn't get the name of the pig  really? I love the decor, it was like an Alessi dream. Yes the dessert, what a gorgeous dessert...

Hi Lilia-I wish there was something like that...I wonder if JR would open up a branch here?

Hi blythe-I guess Tokyo was the first and they are perfectionists there so it fits right into his aesthetic.

Yes his mash definitely deserves the raves.

Hi justJENN-Me too! And serving them with roses is so lovely

i can't believe how much better the burgers were in tokyo. i could barely taste the foie gras in these ones!

your mash was amazing, though. interesting that such a high end restaurant would excel at mashed potato.

whose leg is that? not the most appetizing decor, in my eyes. :)
meanwhile, i think your meal looks and sounds delightful--it would definitely be my preference of the two, probably because of that dessert. :)
