Yes it’s hard to believe that I’ve been writing this blog for a year now. Of course it is absolutely true how time flies when you’re having fun. So far I’ve eaten at some fabulous restaurants, baked a whole lot of Cupcakes, made Macarons with success, been to the Iron Chef Observatory dinner, met my two favourite chefs Gordon Ramsay and Nigella Lawson, Dumpster Dived, cooked on my car engine, been to a Hangi, eaten at a 3 star Michelin restaurant, received a cease and desist letter from a publisher, eaten at a Goth and a Prison themed restaurant and even been to Hooters for Valentines Day…

And because no anniversary party is complete without a gift bag, with the huge success of our CupCake Courier giveaway a couple of months ago, the lovely people at CupCake Courier are generously giving away a set of 2 Cup-a-Cakes to 4 lucky winners!

Cup-a-Cakes are the perfect way to transport single cupcakes without smudging or smooshing the icing designed and patented by a group of mums (and you know you just don’t mess with cupcake baking mums). Each Cup-a-Cake has little grips inside which cushion your cupcake so that if you jiggle or turn it upside down, it stays safely nestled inside, not a hair out of place.

All you have to do is have a look at the Cupcake Courier site and tell me which is your favourite colour of Cup-a-Cake. That’s it, no complicated 25 words or less. Add your entry via a comment to this story. You can enter once daily.

The competition is for Australian residents only (sorry overseas readers but I will have something for you in the future). But they are also available to purchase overseas so you won’t feel like you’re missing out!

The competition ends midnight AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on the 30th of October.

You’re only a year old! But you’re so big and mature for your age! Shouldn’t we be sending you cupcake wrappers (i.e. paper) for your birthday, it being the traditional one year pressie? I hope there’ll be a celebratory lunch or dinner which we can then read about.

Seriously, congrats. I didn’t know the blog was that young but it’s a daily read for me and many, many other people. Your comments are always interesting, even when I don’t fancy the food, and the photography is lovely. I even like the layout of the site, and I’m a professional!

Oh, and the cup-a-cakes? Definitely white. I’d like to have a whole range in different colours of course, but for starters white so as not to detract from the technicolour marvels that are my cupcake creations.

Happy anniversary. I can’t believe that you are only writing for one year. Most blogs like yours already writing for more than 2 years, that’s why I was surprised to found out it is still only a baby who already travelling around foodblogging from Freeganism to 3 stars of michelin restaurant, from Sydney to Tokyo then to Finlandia to Paris then London. I’ve already got a cupcake courier and its so fabulous- great to see they are stocking the cup-a-cake now too. Genius product.

My favourite colour would be the purple i’d have to say, though the white would be good too since you could see the cupcake more? Thank god this wasn’t a 25 word or less because I’ve obviously gone way over…

However I really am struggling at the moment as I am 7 weeks pregnant and my morning sickness started on Monday. What normally makes me hungry to eat breakfast is making my stomach do flip flops. My daughter loves “Pink Sparkles” as she is obsessed with pink. Pink room, pink cakes, pink clothes. It makes her happy but could be tricky later on in life! I love the cup-a-cakes. Let me think about this now!

Ima gonna pary on here at this celebration, n eat firstly the chocolaty brown, followed by orange, (love those flavours together) followed by blue sky, topped with pink sparkles. Purple and red, will mix well on my palate of rainbows. The classic white will intermingle with the refreshing taste of watermelon, as the clear cleans my palate, leaving way to finish off with the cool refreshing taste of lime.
