The slightly eccentric eating, cooking and travel adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

Hi Cappucino-I was very disappointed, especially since it's usually quite reliable.

Hi Angela-Seafood Extender is that fake kind of faux crab, usually bright coral and white in colour and cut into tubes. Sometimes you get it at cheaper sushi chains in place of crab meat. Needless to say, it's not the kind of thing you want to be served at a restaurant.

Hi grace-If you have a look at some shops in Chinatown you might be able to find the same thing. I think it's a bull for the pattern? Would be good to serve some nice beef on :)

i'm loving the dish that the seafood platter arrived on! and i'm sorry to hear that your flounder was a bland and greasy mess--that's a stinker. literally. :)

What a shame to be let down so much, especially on Father's Day.

Dare I ask what seafood extender is?

Don't you hate that when a regular place lets you down :(

I think most places are a bit hectic on Fathers day.
