I just went back to the place tonight (its called Frango now I think). Having ordered chips and the mouth watering chicken burger-with-chilli-to-die-for, I was refused extra chilli sauce because “there wouldn’t be enough for others” and that I should “stop asking”, despite that there was a whole stack of it in front of the woman.
So I said “Thank You Comrade” and walked home with my burger

annabel is adorable! and it’s so true, bring a baby along and you’ll have people coo-ing and ah-ing. definitely the best way to deal with a ‘soup nazi’. otherwise, i think a smile usually goes a long way – smiling seems to confuse people!
