The slightly eccentric eating, cooking and travel adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

I have a Meyer lemon tree, and am happy to supply you with 20 or so lemons when it bears fruit next season. They are gorgeous. The fruit tree is small, and grows heaps of these superior fruits enough for plenty of people to enjoy. We feed the plant organically and I water it a lot so its fruit are the size of small footballs! Fragrant and generous with juice. A good thank you for your Meyer lemon Meringue cake I think!!

Looks delicious, even though I'm not a huge fan of traditional lemon meringue pies (always too much meringue for me).

Oohh.. This recipe looks fantastic! We have a potted Meyer Lemon tree which often provides us with an abundance of lemons, so I can't wait to make this recipe. It's my husband's favourite!

Hi NQN :)

I was wondering... if I make this without the Meringue, is it a lemon tart? Is that how lemon tarts work? I have never made one... *blush*

Oh your Lemon Meringue looks just fabulous Lorraine. I would dearly love a fig tree but have no Idea what the best type is but it's clear that a Meyer is a great lemon to grow ... should get one of those as well. Thanks for your post
