***

I know you like the non food giveaways as much as the food giveaways so today we have a movie double pass giveaway for the new film The Boys Are Back! The film is directed by Scott Hicks from Shine and stars Clive Owen, Emma Booth, Erik Thomson, Julia Blake and Chris Haywood and starts its season on November 12.  I don’t want to give it all away but it is about a British Sports journalist who finds himself as the single parent of a six year old boy as well as his older teenage son and is inspired by a true story and based on the book by Simon Carr.

To win 1 of the 5 double passes, all you have to do is tell me the name of your favourite actor. Add your entry via a comment to this story. You can enter once daily as long as your answer is different (although how many favourites can one have right? ;) ). This competition is open to Australian residents only.

This will be a quick competition so it finishes midnight AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on the 12th of November, 2009.

Good Luck to everyone!

Love,

Lorraine

Ok to tell you the truth, and I’m not bluffing… my favourite actor is Clive Owen!
I’m sorry… I know it sounds like I’m sucking up because it is a Clive Owen movie but I was inlove with him especially in Sin City and King Arthur!

ooohhhh I would have to say my favourite actor is Liam Neeson. I cannot pin point the exact thing I like about him ~ his brilliant acting ability, his irish accent, his chisselled features or the general fact he makes me weak at the knees!!! LOL!!

Clive Owen is the best. My favourite actor since I first saw him in a series about a guy losing his sight about 10 years ago, so handsome and a wonderful actor too.

    Hi Lorraine,

This is easy for me (and everyone who knows me would know this too!) Definitely, 100% without a doubt, Leo!
I think our love started blossoming in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, but was fully cemented in Titanic. I am convinced there is a Hollywood conspiracy against him though; in so many of his popular movies he gets killed! Even though I think the Departed is a wonderful movie, I can’t enjoy it knowing what happens to my bebe.
I realised our love was eternal when I heard he was going to be starring in one of my favourite books, Revolutionary Road, and when I read his enviro credentials it seals the deal. I have full permission from my boyfriend, should the occasion arise, to scheme and plot and make him mine!

I have always admired Reese Witherspoon, with her distinct pointed chin with the dimple & her versatility with acting roles.
She can move from one movie genre` to another smoothly and efficiently. Her portrayal of June Carter in the Johnny Cash movie was brilliant

Viggo Mortensen – a total spunk in all facets…he’s intelligent, multi-lingual, has great looks that seem to get better with age, and is a fantastic, intense, humourous actor who has a great body of work behind him, and hopefully many many more movies to come, and I will enjoy watching him in every single one.

    See his talents shine in;
    A History of Violence
    and
    Eastern Promises.

Sarah/not writing this for the free tickets but just so I can blab on as a real dribbling fan.
ps. I bet he is also a fine cook.
