Second, I've seen Julie & Julia twice. The first time I watched it, the movie was still the un-edited version. And it felt very long. hehe. (I had to watch it as I was supposed to run qualitative research analysis for it)The movie was interesting in parts, but I felt it was honest, just like the book itself. The Julie Powell part was definitely realistic and resonate with all the cooks in us, I'd say! The Julia Child part... well, this is all coming from Julie Powell's perspective, no? And what an interesting character she is! (her cookbook is a treasure, though, makes French cooking doable indeed). First off, very lovely looking cake.
