The slightly eccentric eating, cooking and travel adventures of a Sydney girl who loves cakes, cooking, Nigella Lawson and eating. She eats, breathes and dreams food and indeed will never get cable TV as she'd quit working and watch the Food Channel all day long.

I just made poached eggs like this, and it turned out perfectly! I have only ever made poached eggs using a poacher, so this way a first time for me. It was so easy and quick, I shall definitely be cooking my eggs like this from now on, seeing as I don't have the poacher anymore.
Thank you so much for sharing the instructions, you are a breakfast saver!

Hi Anna-sorry to hear that. As I mentioned, some brands of cling wrap do melt. The Aldi one that I used did but glad wrap didn't and commercial cling wrap doesn't melt. Sometimes wrapping it in two layers helps.

Thanks so much. My first try, and my poached eggs were perfect. The whites held together nicely, while the yellow yolks oozed out when cut. Ah, sure made my day!
