Healthy Halloween Candy Corn Fruit Kebabs

Candy Corn Kebabs

I ate my first candy corn last year and honestly, while it was cute, it just tasted like sugar. I get the nostalgia though and they're inextricably linked to Halloween in America. I decided to make a fruit version, call it the Aussie version of candy corn. These candy corn fruit kebabs use pineapple, rockmelon and banana. I wanted to use fresh pineapple but it didn't ripen in time and tinned also works.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 0 minutes

  • 1 banana
  • 1 pineapple or 400g/14oz. tin of pineapple rings
  • 1/2 rockmelon

Step 1 - Candy corn is a small tri coloured triangular shaped piece of candy. You want the pineapple on the bottom so the largest piece is the pineapple, then the rockmelon and then cut the banana into a triangle and thread onto a skewer.
