Halloween Charcuterie Ouija Board

Halloween Party Food

I absolutely LOVED making this Halloween charcuterie ouija board. I saw this on reddit and it was such a clever idea and easy to replicate as long as you have letter cookie cutters. It's also a great way to serve cheese as it is already portioned out. I used Red Leicester cheese and tasty cheddar slices as well as salami, ham, cornichons and olives and a sun made out of a round of brie!

An Original Recipe by Lorraine Elliott

Preparation time: 25 minutes

Cooking time: 0 minutes

Makes a large charcuterie board for 8-10 guests

  • 150g/5ozs square block Red Leicester cheese
  • 125g/4oz tasty or cheddar cheese slices
  • 100g/3.5ozs salami slices
  • 100g/3.5ozs ham slices
  • Olives
  • Cornichons
  • 3 large flour tortillas

Note: if you have a lot of people you can double or triple quantities and layer the cheese and meat.

Step 1 - First take a large, rectangular chopping board. Cut the cheese into slices and then into small rectangles. Line the centre of the board with these. Then cut the salami into half moons and place around the edge of the board. Roll ham up and place at the base.

Step 2 - Using small letter cutters punch out the alphabet as well as the words "Yes", "No" and "Goodbye". Place these on top of the cheese slices. Then using a heart cutter cut out planchettes in the tortillas. I use a large metal straw (for bubble tea/boba drinks) to punch out the little circle.
