Sigma Lenses
I’ve always dreamed of having a lens sponsor. Camera equipment is incredibly costly especially with the enormous monstrosities that we tote around and lenses are one of those essential but costly items that make as much difference to the photos as the camera itself. Thanks the the wonderful people at Sigma Lenses, I now use a combination of four lenses:
- Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS: the lens I use most often when I go out. It is versatile, shoots quickly, covers a good range of shots required in a restaurant setting, the optical stabiliser helps in lowlight settings.
- Sigma 30mm F1.4 EX DC: This lens produces the crispest photos and is the best in lowlight conditions. Being a prime lens you lose some of the versatility of a zoom which is why I often use the 17-50mm when I am out. I use this for most of my recipe & cooking shots as well as in some restaurants. The crispness is absolutely wonderful with this lens.
- Sigma 15mm F2.8 DG Fisheye: I love using this fisheye lens when traveling as it makes it possible to get those super wide angle shots capturing the full scene, whether it’s a crowd shot, restaurant shot or a hotel room.
- Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG Macro: For those drool worthy super close up shots. I need to make more use of this lens!
Stevie English Hair

The wonderful team at Stevie English hair in Glebe tend to my locks and ensure that I don’t have any bad hair days. I love the fact that I think Alice in Wonderland, Morticia Addams and Miss Universe would feel right at home here. Plus what’s not to love about a place that has a coffee and tea menu, does fabulous chai lattes, massage chairs when they are washing your hair and wallpapered ceilings to stare at?
