Blood Clots and Pus

Adapted from Feast by Nigella Lawson

Preparation time: 10 minutes plus setting time

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Ingredients for Blood Clots

Step 1 - Make up the jellies according to the packet instructions, and leave to set in separate dishes approximately 26 x 20 cm (10x8inches), in the fridge.

Step 2 - When the jellies have set, turn or mulch with your fingers and put them, squidged together on to plates or bowls in clumps like blood clots.

Ingredients for Pus

Step 1 - Dissolve lime jelly powder in hot water according to directions but use milk in place of water to make up the jelly and leave to set in the fridge

Step 2 - Once set, mulch the jelly up with your fingers.

Assembling your blood clots and pus

Step 1 - I put these in little individual cups. I spooned some mulched up blood clots into a cup and then splodged dots of pus throughout the top to give, as Nigella suggests, a burst boil appearance. Stunning!
