Kim Chi Poutine
An Original Recipe by Lorraine Elliott/Not Quite Nigella
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes
Serves 1
- 200g/7ozs. French fries, frozen
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella and tasty cheese
- 1/3 cured spicy sausage (like an nduja), chopped up
- 2 tablespoons kim chi, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped green spring onion
- Tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Step 1 - Preheat grill. Fry the potato chips for 5-6 minutes until golden and place on a grill proof dish. Add the cheese on top along with the sausage and kim chi.
Step 2 - Place under the grill so that the cheese melts (regular poutine also has hot gravy to help it melt). Add green onion, tomato sauce and seasonings.
