Step 2 -Take your glasses and divide the strawberry syrup among them. Then fill it up halfway with ice. Pour milk leaving an inch at the top and then top up with matcha latte.

Note: you can make the strawberry sauce up to 3 days ahead of time. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.

To wash your matcha whisk run warm water over the whisk with the tines facing down.

Personal Note

If I were to guess which one of my friends likes matcha the most it would be Laura. She is on a healthy eating program and loves her daily matcha teas - she loves it so much that she craves it in the same way that people crave coffee in the morning. While I like matcha I don't love it anywhere near the same way that she does and I don't often order it when out. If I were to order a tea drink it would probably be a grapefruit green tea frappe or a fruity drink. But sometimes I'll be in the mood for something creamy and I'll choose a strawberry drink.

But this strawberry matcha latte is really the best of both worlds. Even if you don't really love matcha the sweetness of the strawberries combines so perfectly with matcha that you'll be hooked. I bought three punnets of strawberries because I couldn't wait to have more. While this drink is vegan it doesn't taste vegan at all, once you add the matcha and strawberries the oat milk tastes just like regular milk. It was so good that I made some to take with me when I was seeing Laura the next day. She did me a massive favour and I wanted to say thank you with home made focaccia, some Dubai chocolate as well as a bunch of flowers. Plus of course I turned up with one of these glasses with a matcha strawberry latte for her because friends just know what friends love!

So tell me Dear Reader, could you easily reel off a list of what your friends like? Do you like matcha?
