Step 4 SPRINKLE - Working with one tray at a time (leave the other one in the fridge), dip the pretzels again into the chocolate (melt again if the chocolate has set hard) and then sprinkle with the crushed candy canes before the chocolate set. Sprinkle with extra salt (salt lovers especially!). Place back in the fridge to set. Store these choc dipped pretzels in the fridge in an airtight container.

Substitution notes:

White chocolate can be subbed with dark or milk chocolate.

Personal Note

I absolutely love these because they are all about the balance and interplay between the sweet and creamy vanilla scented white chocolate, the mint crushed candy canes and the pop of salt and crunchiness of the pretzels. Life is all about balance and we really felt that here.

A few days ago, Mr NQN took Teddy and Milo to the groomers. We had to book Teddy in for an anal gland expressing. He came back very disgruntled and disturbed by the whole experience. Granted most people would probably as well!

But ever since then I have a new best friend. It seems that Teddy has associated the incident with Mr NQN and I am now his favourite. It's quite nice being Teddy's favourite as he can be quite affectionate.

However it is not fine by two other members of the family. Mr NQN, although understanding, is a bit hurt and misses his best buddy and little shadow. And Milo is even more annoyed because where he once was the sole recipient of my attention. He now has to share this attention with his big brother. It is completely thrown the balance of our little family! Time will tell whether this lasts but I'm just trying to keep everyone happy!

So tell me Dear Reader, have you ever tried chocolate dipped pretzels? Do you prefer snacks to be sweet or salty or both?
