We love our matcha lattes so much that recently Laura, Mr NQN and I went on a holiday to Newcastle. Some cities are replete with matcha lattes but some don't quite make them a lot. When we went to Canberra we found it difficult to buy a matcha latte in the area we were staying in and had to make our own. So just in case we brought our own supplies along as we weren't sure about Newcastle.

Laura brought along her matcha and whisk and I brought along my homemade fresh fruit purees. Every day she would do a little matcha latte ceremony. She does hers a bit different to mine. I use cold, filtered water but she starts with hot water and she uses a lot more matcha powder than mine because she likes it strong. But I did pick up a trick from her and that was to warm up the bamboo whisk first so that the thin bristles don't break. I love iced teas and coffees and rarely order them hot (it would have to be freezing) but Laura likes both hot and cold. Nevertheless it was the best way to start the day and we didn't have to leave the room for it!

So tell me Dear Reader, when you stay in hotels, do you start the day with a coffee or tea and what type do you have? Do you like hot or cold drinks?
