To Market, To Market, May 2010

It's that time again for another To Market To Market, the very popular giveaway that I do once every month or two where I feature the goodies that I am sent that I love (trust me, there are some things that I am sent that I don't love and so they don't make it here - just call me your unofficial taste tester ;) ). It's been going for almost a year and I know that you look forward to it. The lovely people at these companies agreed to send out a pack of these items to some lucky Not Quite Nigella readers so that you too can sample their goodies instead of just reading about them!

Just leave a comment at the end of the story telling me which product you’d like to try and why. I’m very sorry overseas lovelies but these can only be posted within Australia (except for the Interro laptop cover/wallet which can be sent anywhere in the world). The giveaway ends at Midnight AEST on the 9th of May

:)

ben and jerrys

Ben & Jerrys

****I probably don't need to enlighten you about Ben & Jerry's ice cream. My last giveaway went gangbusters with ice cream lovers salivating over the chance to win a pint of the famous Ben & Jerry's ice cream and this time I've got an even better offer: the chance to win three pints of the newest Ben & Jerry's flavours: Triple Caramel Chunk (yes, not double but triple the caramel - Caramel Ice Cream with a Swirl of Caramel & Fudge Covered Caramel Chunks), Half Baked (Chocolate & Vanilla Ice Creams with Fudge Brownies & Gobs of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough) and the famous Phish Food (my chunkalicious favourite with Chocolate Ice Cream with Gooey Marshmallow, Caramel Swirls & Fudge Fish)!

Thanks to Ben & Jerry's, five lucky Not Quite Nigella readers will receive a triple pack with pint each of the Triple Caramel Chunk, Half Baked and Phish Food flavours! As it is ice cream, delivery will need to be within 10kms from the Sydney city centre (check out maps.google.com to calculate the distance), or alternatively, you can pick it up yourself from a location in Surry Hills from Monday to Fridays 9am-5pm!

sirena tuna infusions

**Sirena Tuna Infusions

I always buy the large cans of Sirena tuna and make myself a tuna salad with them so that I can enjoy a healthy lunch. They now have these cute little flavoured tuna infusion tins in flavours like Tuna in Basil infused oil, Tuna in Rosemary Infused oil and Tuna in Dill infused oil. My favourite was the dill which was delicious just drained on a bed of rocket or baby spinach.

Thanks to Sirena, three lucky Not Quite Nigella readers will receive a boxed triple pack with a tin of Tuna in Basil infused oil, Tuna is Rosemary Infused oil and Tuna in Dill infused oil!

jazz apples

Jazz Apples

If you like your eating apples crunchy (and who likes them floury, really?) then you might just love these Jazz Apples which are a new type of super crispy slightly tart (but not as tart as Granny Smith) apple available from April to June. They're actually a cros between Braeburns and Royal Gala aples and they come in a small to medium size which is a good size for snacking (speaking as someone who never manages to finish those huge apples).

Thanks to Montague Fresh, five lucky Not Quite Nigella readers will receive a box of 6 Jazz Apples! Due to quarantine restrictions, these cannot be posted to Western Australia.

interro laptop cover

Interro Laptop Cover

Loyal NQN reader Cherie (she almost read the entire blog over 2 days in December!) is the brains behind these fabulous laptop covers and wallets with her brand Interro. Made with upcycled seatbelts these laptop covers are customised to fit your laptop exactly and are sleek and are lined in soft fleece to protect your precious laptop!

Thanks to Cherie,  one lucky Not Quite Nigella reader will receive a laptop cover or wallet!  Cherie will also ship this item internationally so NQN readers outside of Australia can enter!

citta napkins

**Citta Napkins **

Paper napkins never need to be dull with these adorable designs from Citta, a New Zealand brand. I always used to buy linen ones but when I saw the pretty designs that paper napkin brands were coming out with, I had a change of heart. These two patterns are my favourite: the coral 25x25cms ones and the garden bird 40x40cms napkins. Plus they're great for blog styling too! ;)

Thanks to Citta, seven lucky Not Quite Nigella readers will receive a set containing a packet of 20 Garden Bird napkins and 20 Coral napkins!

be natural muesli

Be Natural Trail Bars

OK let me be honest. I'm not likely to use these as a trail bar. I don't go hiking or camping and I'm never far away from food (I get anxious if I do) but these Be Natural Trail Bars are pretty good if you do. They have less than 3 grams of fat and just over 100 calories per bar and have lovely little specks of cranberry, strawberry and currants in them.

Thanks to Be Natural, five lucky Not Quite Nigella readers will receive a box of Be Natural muesli bars!

magnum gold

Magnum Gold

When I worked in advertising in my former life we had Streets as a client and we used to get boxes of Magnums sent to us and they were used a bribery tools. You see ad men and ad women will pretty much behave themselves if they think that they'll receive an ice cream reward. Mr NQN and I share them as I like the chocolate outside them but he likes the ice cream inside. The new Magnum Gold is a limited edition flavour available from now until the end of the year and has a honeycomb swirl vanilla ice cream with a double chocolate coating.

Thanks to Magnum Gold, five lucky Not Quite Nigella readers will receive a Woolworths gift card to the value of $AUD10 ( a multipack of x 4 Magnum ice creams is $7.79).

royal pom

Royal Pom Pomegranates

Everyone knows by now that pomegranates are frightfully good for you and now they're easily available. Until recently, they were imported from overseas but Royal Pom pomegranates are Australian grown which means that they are fresher and have better food miles. The Royal Poms that I received were huge specimens and full of perfect rubied red seeds. And don't forget to get the little seeds  or arils out, quarter a pomegranate and flex the skin so that the arils come out easier (keeping them submerged in a bowl of water prevents little raspberry coloured drops from making their way onto your clothes!).**

Thanks to Royal Pom, three lucky Not Quite Nigella readers will receive a 3 pack of Royal Pom Pomegranates (delivery only within 15kms of Sydney city centre).

So readers, leave a comment as to which item you’d like to try and why and you could be receiving it in the mail! Thanks again to these generous brands Ben & Jerry's, Sirena, Montague Fresh, Interro, Citta, Be Natural, Streets and Royal Pom for providing prizes.

Best of luck and enjoy!

Lots of love,

NQN
