Knock knock! Guess what time it is my Dear Readers? It’s almost Easter time! And apart from the days off, the other thing that I always look for to during Easter is chocolate and you know who always does something special for Easter? Ferrero! This year Ferrero Rocher and Iain Halliday of BKH have come together to design a limited edition Easter centrepiece exclusively available on the Ferrero Online Boutique.
The Ferrero Rocher by BKH Easter Centrepiece or Golden Egg as I like to call it (it’s more Willy Wonka that way
) is made of an illuminated gold material and on each revolving wave shaped layer is integrated LED lighting with 120 Ferrero Rocher pralines! Iain Halliday from BKH (the designers and architects that designed it in collaboration with Ferrero) says, “The Easter centrepiece resembles the traditional Easter egg shape with a mirrored base which revolves to ensure sharing and replenishing pralines is discreet and easy”. It’s so very glamorous don’t you think dahlinks? As for me? I’m just seeing easy access to the chocolates

An added bonus is that they are limited edition too and only a small number of the Ferrero Rocher by BKH Easter Centrepieces will be available exclusively from www.ferreroboutique.com for $400 and each will come with 120 Ferrero Rocher pralines. Also for the first time, Ferrero will be offering a limited number of premium Easter treats available exclusively on the website so if you don’t feel like sharing your $400 Golden Egg with anyone else you can also buy them some cute little eggs or another gift box.

Thanks to Ferrero, one lucky Not Quite Nigella reader will win this Ferrero Golden Easter Centrepiece worth $400! For a chance to win this all you have to do is tell me something fun that you’re going to do these Easter holidays! Simply add your answer as a comment to the story. The competition is a short one too so don’t dawdle as we want to get you your golden egg before Easter. It ends in just about 2 week’s time at midnight AEST 17th of April, 2011. You can enter this competition once daily and it is open to anyone within Australia!
***The winner is Frances L. of Victoria!***
Best of luck!
Lots of love,
Lorraine

Ah to be eligible for this… they don’t have this here hrmph!
Holy moly that thing looks fantastic.
I’m pretty excited about Easter because I get to spend it eating!
Me and the boy are going to be going to his family easter party which involves copious amounts of seafood optained from the fish markets that morning.
Then on Saturday we’re going to Melbourne to experience it’s culinary delights (I’ve figured out where we’re going breakfast, lunch and dinner every day including Cumulus Inc, Maze and Lord of the Fries) as well as go to the musical Rock of Ages and to view the Tutankhamen exhibit!
Thjose little ferrero eggs are TOO cute! I need to get my hands on some!
This easter, like every easter, I’ll be preparing for our huge Good Friday seafood feast and spoiling my younger cousins with chocolate goodies. Of course there’s easter baking to be done too!
Being the school holidays as well, I will be taking my children to a kite making class that also feeds them cake afterwards!!
I love easter, my whole family go camping every year and we are of course doing the same this year. I cant wait to cook damper over the fire =D
This Easter we will be going as an extended family (grandparents, aunts, uncles and little cousins) to a locall park and hopefully having a picnic/bbq (weather permitting!!)
Would love to win this giveaway!
We are off to the Sydney Family Show this Easter.
Oh gosh, I think I just died looking at that egg.
This Easter holidays will find us catching up on lost sleep, spending time in Worship at church, and rebelling in food and family. It will also be the first year my toddler tastes chocolate!
My birthday is in late April so this year it is very close to Easter. To celebrate I will be having a cocktail party on Easter Saturday that will possibly not finish until early Sunday. I’m so excited about the yummy cocktails and just imagine adding chocolates into the mix – it would be fantastic!
We’re heading up the coast for the Easter holidays this year. I plan to organise a Easter egg for my nephews. Might try to fit in some baking of ANZAC biscuits too. I think the funnest thing though might be the 5 days off from work. Woohoo!
Hi Lorraine, we always hold a easter egg hunt for my my now 7 year old nephew, this year we will include my 2 year old niece. I try to have the largest egg/bunny as the one he finds last and would be great if we won this golden egg I could use it as the grand finale! Of course it would have to be shared
I am going to enter cakes in the Sydney Royal Easter Show for the first time, which means plenty o baking and testing to master the recipes and presentation.
Oh wow. Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow! How cool is this?!
I can’t put it down to what the most enjoyable thing I do at Easter is. I guess right up there is dying hard-boiled eggs on Good Friday with my dad – a long time tradition in our household. Red, green, blue and yellow, usually.
Can’t wait for Easter!
Or perhaps it’s helping out my mum bake her famous Cozonac and chocolate-creme layer cake. (Does taste testing count as helping?)
I love Easter chocolate shopping and buying tulips too, but the experiences I share with my family at this time are the best.
The whole family is heading up to the Sunshine Coast. Our favourite activity (after the Easter egg hunt of course) will be foraging for Beach Pipis.
I’m going to attempt a chocolate-free diet, but not if I win this I wont.
This Easter I would like to meet my soul mate, and share the bestest chocolate treats together
These Easter holidays, I’m going on a road trip with my friends to Port stevens to enjoy the beach, have relaxing picnic lunches, Eat easter chocolates and definitely ride down some sanddunes!
Hm… the Easter holiday for us is a time to catch up on all those houseprojects – painting, gardening, hanging pictures and curtains… but I am really looking forward to making some new cushions covers. And on Good Friday we’ll be going to my mama’s house, where she always has a big seafood party.
I will be having fun cooking lots of yummy easter treats for my family and consuming a large amount of delicious chocolate : )
Over Easter my family of 3 kids, husband and me will be staying at a farm near Barrington Tops – rats in the wall cavities, no heater (except for the fireplace), outside dunny, no TV. The golden egg would be a super treat!
I will be heading to South Australia to try out its plethora of yummy offerings over the Easter Break! An impulsive decision initiated by one of your posts AND airline sales!
Im going to be going to Adriano Zumbo’s cafe for the first time! I AM SO EXCITED! then im going to go to Ben and Jerrys Free cone day at manly. and then ill be going to Chat Thai with a couple of friends and then i’ll be going to adriano zumbo manly AGAIN!!! and in the next week my sister and i are going to try to make croquembouche! and also we might try to mak a roast or something similar because we have never made a roast pork or chicken or ham or etc at our home.
Mmmm chocolaaate… Ferrero, yum yum, my fave. Going to hang with my puppies and share lots of love. (But no chockies for them, might have to find some bone flavoured eggs hehe)
mmmm that looks amazing!
I am hoping the Easter bunny will be able to find me in hospital – as I will be having my first bub… due Good Friday, so hopefully happily eating yummy easter egss on the Sunday!!!
What a fabulous Golden Easter Egg from Ferrero!! Our plans were to picnic at the local dam but the picnic tables/park are now under water. The wonderful Whitsunday beaches are now looking good.
Easter is always a fun time for our family. We enjoy the extended break by catching up on some enjoyable pastimes that we don’t normally have the time to do. Ah, the serenity of just chilling at home!! Bliss.
We are spending easter at our house for the first time ever, so i am going all out, egg hunt in the back yard for the kids, roast lunch lots of champagne and all the people we love around us.
What a wonderful Golden Easter Egg promotion from Ferrero!
Our plans were to picnic at the local dam but the picnic tables/park are now under water. the wonderful Whitsunday beaches are now looking good.
I will be going to the Tutankhamun exhibition which will be very interesting.
I don’t celebrate easter because I am an atheist. But I will be eating plenty of chocolate, simply because I ALWAYS eat chocolate. A day without chocolate is a day wasted. And the shops are full of all sorts of fantastic treats so it’s easy to go and find something worth trying.
This year I
get to spend Easter with my two little granddaughters . I would love to be the goose who brings the ‘Golden Egg ‘
School Easter holiday. My son and I have so much plans already. Testing new recipes, movies, going to the cities, culinary experiences, and going to Adriano Zumbo Cafe for the first time. We are so excited.
It better not rain this Easter, ’cause my large garden is begging and pleading with me to come and love it to bits!
The gorgeous chocolates: Well, I live in a gated ‘national’ community which does have a big Hostel in the front for those unable to look after themselves! Wow, would there be joy and laughter were I to walk in with that Easter beauty!! Residents and staff and faithful grounds people etc etc! Oh well one can dream!
This Easter I’ll indulge in some of my sister’s home made hot cross buns which are amazing….I love them when they’re just baked with lashings of butter mmmmm and the sweet glaze on top so sweet and sticky…yum. If I win this giveaway I’ll share with her as her treat for baking the hot cross buns…….again.
I have this massive plan mainly involving eating out this Easter long weekend. I think I’ll need to starve myself before then but that’s impossible since I’ll be eating out a lot too even before that, oh well…
Thursday night (this is part of the Easter long weekend no?): Catching up with old friends at Restaurant Arras
Friday: Friday special lunch at Assiette, dinner at Firefly, before catching a concert in the Opera House.
Saturday: Easter show! Looking forward to visiting the food dome, and more importantly dagwood dog and cheese on the stick! Let’s see how many I can devour this year hmm…
Sunday: Boyfriend’s birthday at The Rocks Teppanyaki. I organised the venue and it’s supposed to be a secret. Hopefully he doesn’t read this comment
Monday: Self-proclaimed ‘authentic’ Korean BBQ at a friend’s house
Tuesday: No plan yet, but maybe I should make it a dessert crawl day with friends hmm.. detoxing what’s that?
Nothing fancy like road trip or going to another city, but I’m really looking forward to getting chubbier this time!
Baking, gardening, egg-hunting, sewing bunting, kissing, cuddling, eating, drinking, laughing, loving, enjoying, dancing, picnicking with my kids, friends and darling 7yr old grandson….heaven!
My goodness, that is one seriously big mouth-watering, golden egg centre piece. I will be having a family day with my big kids and their little kids. It will no doubt involve egg hunts, egg eating and exhausted grown ups. Fun
going to Melbourne. Nuff said
I’m going home to see my wonderful family … For lots of eating and for a bonus catching up with a school friend I haven’t seen for 30 years !! Yes 30 yrs !!! It goes faster than you think … So have fun and enjoy yourself ….
Will be enjoying the company of the entire family and I am certain that the children will be eating lots of chocolate. The Golden Egg looks fantastic, and if I were lucky enough to win it..I may even get to enjoy one…but I am certain the grandchildren would take care of the rest!
Oh. My. Gawwwwd! Look at that thing! YUM!
This Easter I am handmaking all my Eater gifts, decorating with all things yummy and looking forward to seeing all my hard work get gobbled down!
I also expect to be cooking for 30 people again, so need to start on my menu! Any suggestions??
These holidays mark the end of our son’s first term at prep. He has amazed us with his effort and work, we couldn’t be any prouder! I can’t wait to spend some quality time with him, reading, going on outings and just having FUN!
I love Easter. The day usually starts with an eruption of noise from the children which heralds that the bunny has been. Then I stagger out of bed and make a show of complaining about the mess the bunny has made with flour all over the floor and bunny footprints. About this time the kids start searching for eggs the bunny has left and our Golden retriever decides to start eating the flour which usually turns it to a stick mess. I complain a bit more which always makes the kids laugh. It’s a fun day and a tradition I hope my kids will pass on to theirs
Wow, that Golden Egg looks so… Willy Wonka
My wife Kate usually enters your competition but she’s on maternity leave right now. Kate’s heavily pregnant, with approximately 5 days to go to our big day. She’s counting on me to try our luck with this one. I’m counting down the clock to becoming a first time Dad, so that’s something really fun and exciting to do during our Easter holidays. And no doubt we’ll need plenty of strong coffee and Ferrero Rocher sweetness to play the doting Mum and Dad and the role of the ‘nappies changer’ for our son (yes according to ultra sound scan) whenever he wakes up in the middle of the night.
What name should we call our baby? Willy? Billy? Benny (Bunny)? Ferrero? Please give us a sign
I’m having a good old family brunch with lots of yummy food and sweets being the main meal!!! My sister is hosting it with the annual egg hunt and lots of photos taken for the memories that will be made!!!
Mmmmmm Easter…holidays and chocolate – what’s not to love? We will be camping with the kids so we’re planning a mobile Easter – an Easter egg hunt around the campground, toasted marshmallows, hot chocolate and Easter craft at the camp table. And the required 4 sets of bunny ears to wear in the car on the drive!
Happy Easter!
This Easter, we will (hopefully) take our family out for a wonderful yum cha, and introduce our grand daughter to the delights of what’s inside a chinese steamer! Now she is 2 she is becoming adventurous with her eating, if she sees us eating something, she has to have it too !
Since my birthday falls on the Easter long weekend this year I’m going to treat myself by making a massive birthday cake for myself (hopefully 2 tiers!) with a bit of easter theme and treat my friends to an easter/my birthday cake party!
How I wish Ferrero has something like this in Singapore!
This Easter is our first camping trip with the inlaws, with ALL our camping gear so I will be relaxing in my comfy new chair while grandma and grandad take care of the girls!
This easter I am going to stay in the country and learn how to crack a whip! Yes, a real stock whip. We’ll get together with old friends, play giant jenga and sample the local wines. Then I’ll come back to my office job in the city. Sigh. Gotta love the holidays though.
Hopefully eat the “Golden Easter Egg” with my husband, 2 year old daughter and extended family after winning this competition! We’ve moved back home to Sydney after 10 years + in the UK, so this Easter will be a very special one
This Easter I’ll be going to Trampoline. It’s a social innovation workshop that’s being held in a circus tent. We’ll be bouncing ideas off each other to try and improve environmental sustainability and youth justice issues in Melbourne. I’ll be supplying handmade choc-ginger Easter eggs to bring along
Omg!!! Easter has to be good quality chocolate! I love ferrero rocher, and that egg is spectacular!
I don’t think we will be doing anything funny at easter though.
My mother turns 90 on the Thursday before Easter. We will be celebrating with a Yum-Cha lunch. Chocolate is definitely on the menu post lunch!
Hi there, this Easter holiday is soo busy and exciting, Monday I am off for a cabin holiday with the 2 grandkids, going off to Phillip Island and partake in all the exciting things P I has to offer, Tues they are going to have a 2 hour surf lesson and I will be taking photos, then Wed we are off on a bush tucker walk, sorry Not Quite Nigella but have to learn what we can eat out there!~, Then Thurs HEY its my birthday yay!!!! thats all before we actually start on the eggs over Easter, I guess after Anzac day I will be de toxing!! All so good and such good fun with the grandies.
Camping!!!!
That egg sure is impressive
My husbands birthday is the 18th and I mine on the 19th. We will be celebrating an extended Easter/birthday week with our 3 little children on a working farm. We may even have a real bunny deliver our eggs or otherwise visit the chicken coop and collect real eggs;)
oo it looks amazing! I have lots of plans for the easter holiday (which is a week for those of us at uni!) Movies, cooking days, tv marathons – should be very fun
I’ll be enjoying the Easter Break with my gorgeous Grandchildren. I love watching them hunting for Easter Eggs – their excitement is precious.
Yum! O_O… they look scrumptious… I’d like to take them home for my family this Easter!
This Easter I’ll be making a scrumptious chocolate mudcake covered in chocolate easter eggs, brandy snaps nests, and some marzipan rabbits. I love Easter food.. and after doing some work experience at Jean Pascal’s patisserie I’ve been inspired to buy some moulds and make my own chocolate gifts this year (little fluffy chickens will be required ^^).
So in short this Easter will be full of home baked goods, chocolate and family just as it should be
You really are inspiring me to become more of a foodie Lorraine..I was excited reading previous blogs fr you about when you’ve been to Melbourne and having divine afternoon teas…so when I saw an ad for the Tutankhamun Exhibition, I thought, right, that’s where we’re going for Easter holidays..Melb is the place to be! AND the Sofitel Hotel is doing a Tut Tea, which we will be going to..as well as the museum! lol.
Oh my god.
I had to walk away after I read this post I was so excited.
That’s the most amazing Easter egg I’ve ever seen!
This Easter my OH and I will be spending it with his family. I will definitely be enjoying myself cooking up a storm!
I’ll be hopping around the back yard in a bunny suit looking for eggs. Then I’ll watch everyone eat some lamb off the spit. I won’t have any because it looks like a greyhound going around on the spit. I’ll fill up on chocolate instead.
preparing a nice meal for my family which will hopefully get compliments from my chef sons, then going down to the easter show with friends
My family and I will be celebrating my dad’s 50th birthday – and this would be an amazing centrepiece! He loves chocolate, so it’d be great to give it to him for his birthday.
Will be recovering from an operation, so I’ll be on the couch being waited on hand and foot with all my fave foods …although not what I had hoped for, will still be enjoyable food wise.
Ok
Well first of all I’m going to make little chocolate birds nests then give them to all the people in the flats around mine.
Then I’m going to set up a little chocolate egg hunt for the two young girls in one of the flats in our block
and finally I’m going to eat as much chocolate and sugar as I can
Unfortunately I’ll have to work a few shifts over Easter, but I’ll still find time to relax with my family and friends. I’ve been invited to a get together on Sunday afternoon, by a lovely friend, I reckon if I could supply the table centrepiece I’d be popular!
This easter the easter bunny will have to find us where we are camping then we are spending the day making damper and eating easter eggs!
This Easter I’m going to visit some local greek butchers to try and source a goat for my dad’s upcoming 60th… wish me luck!
This Easter I will be baking & decorating my very first children b’day cake for my 1 year old niece. I am very excited & with no formal icing & decorating training, it should look interesting!
Seeing Michael Franti at the Enmore theatre on Easter Sunday with 1,999 fellow fans will be my religious experience!
“You can bomb the world to pieces, but you can’t bomb it into peace”….to which I would add “the world is better with chocolate….”
My Easter 2011 (and the days around Easter) will be spent having and recovering from a “medically required” Ceaserean Section. Boo! I am in the late stages of pregnany and becuase of a sudden onset health condition have been changed to “high risk” pregnancy. However…the public holidays means that husband, myself, newborn and our 22 month old will all be together.
This easter my father who is overseas at the moment is coming down to Australia and we are taking him on a fun filled Australian Outback Adventure!
Oh how gorgeous! I’m not entering because Mr 10 is allergic to nuts, but I AM going to bake my first ever batch of hot cross buns with the kids this year. Using chocolate instead of sultanas, because we all hate sultanas. Actually, NQN, do you have a recipe to share? xo
Heading down the Melbourne for the week over the Easter break, where my best friend is putting on a 20′s party for us, fully catered and cocktailed
mmmm what a gal
the chockies would be a fabulous addition to the party! So glam!!
WOWOWOWOWOWOW
What an egg!
Would be awesum to win it,what is something fun for easter, well aside from the chocolate eating, ill be taking a dear friend out on his birthday to munch our way through chinatowns yumcha and wonderful looking crepes
We are going to do lots of relaxing and cooking most of which will involve chocolate!
I live in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. Love your blog – read it every day as my special little treat. BUT, my gripe is that those of us not living in the vicinity of Australia are never eligible for the great prizes offered in competitions. Can you not include us, at least for the non-perishables? I am feeling so neglected…..
Hi Joyce-Thankyou so much for reading!
I know what you mean but unfortunately I’m afraid that the decision to ship overseas is not mine. It is a decision made by the brand that pays for the postage. Shipping overseas, because we are so far away from the rest of the world is very expensive so they often don’t choose to ship overseas. But I am sorry you are feeling so neglected!
I wish it were my decision and that it was more inexpensive to ship overseas!
Oh my…. ferrero rochers are my absolute favourite choccy…oh wow…
Anyway, this Easter I am going to Melbourne to see my cousin marry his beautiful fiancee at the Museum of Contemporary Art on Easter Saturday. We’re from Sydney so it will be my first Easter in Melbourne, I’m really hoping things will be open on the Monday so I can do some shopping before I come back for my birthday on the Tuesday! I’m looking forward to a wonderful week of family, friends and lots of indulgence
Hi Bronnie-Cool! Do I have a recipe for you! Just chocolate, no sultanas
http://www.notquitenigella.com/2009/04/09/cinnamon-chocolate-chip-hot-cross-buns/
Me and my partner have decided to go camping this Easter.Somewhere where it’s remote and away from the hectic life we lead.Time to unwind and enjoy life itself!
Will not miss the easter show to see the Cakes …lol I know but thats to feed my newly found passion of cake decorating.
Heading the the amazing BluesFest in Byron Bay, listening to amazing tunes and eating some amazing food! Oysters on the balcony to start with!
Something REALLY fun for my long Easter holiday?
I’m planning a Girls Night Out to a session of ‘Hairspray’!
Just me, my Mum, my sister Ally and Aunt Marie
It’s been ages since we go out together as one family
I’m really looking forward to this long awaited musical
It’s about time I get styling tips to achieve Cleopatra’s curls
Our next trip will be an adventure to The King Tut’s exhibit
Mum and Aunt Marie simply love the history channel to bits
Ally can brush up on her uni history on Egypt’s Golden Age
We can all come home to enjoy our fabulous Golden Easter Eggs!
(now heading to the shops to buy a couple of extra dresses, just as a backup after the Easter chocolatey break
)
I’m Going to Take my Girls for their first time to The Sydney Royal Easter Show. They have been working so hard to save their Pocket money just to go and spend on some of the awesome Showbags and rides. They also are looking forward at seeing all the Cute little Animals. It should be a fntabulous day
I’ll be making homemade soft centre chocs to give out at Easter. Can’t wait
As the last weekend of the school holidays I think we will have deserved chocolate as a stress relief and this looks just perfect to calm any mothers nerves.
I would like to say eating that massive Ferrero egg but I have to win first.
I will also be having my first easter egg hunt with my 2 year old daughter, nothing like kids making you feel like a kid again.
Happy Easter everyone!
My extended family are all coming to my place for easter and we are going to build a giant house of cards and eat too much chocolate.
Easter for me is about many things… family, food, chocolate, family, time to relax, fun, laughter, family, time to contemplate the Christian origins of Easter, church, and… you guessed it… family! lol! I can’t wait for Easter Sunday, and a big, joyous, loud lunch with the ones I love. Saturday will be spent preparing a luscious dessert as my contribution. Not sure what yet… any suggestions?? It needs to satisfy 20 serious sweet-tooths!
WOW! Am gob-chocolate smacked- if the golden goose could lay golden eggs, and Ferrero rabbit bring this fabulous choc Faberge egg – then my Easter (still unplanned but receptive to miracles)is going to be full of delightful surprises
Will be taking my newly 30 year old husband to his very first Easter show so we can be kids again and take a bit of the thirtydom sting away!
My family always heads up to my grandparent’s place, where we eat tonnes of food before going on a long beach walk with the dogs! It’s totally the best way to unwind after a long week. =)
I love Hot cross buns and Easter eggs, those are the main highlights of Easter every year for me. I used to buy hot cross buns in bulk and freeze them so i can have them all year round =)I remember the first time i won an Easter raffle was back in Kindergarten and then i won an Easter egg guessing competition back in Year 2, i think Easter has been my only luck in winning anything.
Hopefully i will be fully recovered from my 1.5 week flu so i can start eating Easter eggs. This Easter i’ll be baking away for upcoming birthdays right after easter. The Golden egg looks like an awesome treat to accompany me while baking and decorating my cakes, just hoping that sore throat of mine will be able to tackle it!
I will be sharing driving time with my honey bunny as we are going to Port Macquarie to visit friends and go cafe hopping. We both love to drive and both love our coffee and we LOVE LOVE LOVE Ferrero Rochers, so thank you for the opportunity to win this amazing egg. No-one will have more fun than us as we devour every last nutty-crumb and lick the gold foil wrapper. Drooling already!
OMG, a giant, glam, lit-up bundle of chocolate Easter eggs? Dreams do come true! Well, if only I lived Down Under. Sigh.
Hope you had a super time at Royal Randwick! (Puzzlement? – NQN IS on Facebook! Meet her there and cause ‘havoc’, being an ‘insider’?) Now, aren’t we a chocolate loving nation of bloggers?
To ‘Willy Wonka’ Tuan – we’ll all be thinking of you! Hope absolutely everything goes AOK! To Joyce Suri, from Cleveland, Ohio – yes, for me Lorraine is a ‘special little treat’ amongst the more serious bits of life every day also! Hello, lady! To Nicki Jackson – you did not write your rhyme in a minute – thanks for what all of us feel!
We will be enjoying a beach holiday with the extended family. After six very rainy months here in Queensland I am really hoping for some sunny weather too!!
This easter Mr Binkz and I will be heading to Queenstown, where for 7 days we will be wining, dining and seeking out adrenaline rushes in picturesque surroundings. I have already booked in to do the Nevis Arc, I can’t wait! 70 metre freefall followed by a 300 metre arc. Not everyones version of fun, but I can’t wait!
I’ll be creating delicious rabbit-shaped gingerbreads, dying Easter Eggs with divine designs, devouring hot-cross buns and hunting for Easter eggs in the garden with my two adorable little toddlers!
At our house we are hatching chicks. All the equipment (incubator etc) plus eggs are being delivered April 20th then for 9 days we can watch them hatch and grow. So exciting b
this easter break, i need to de-stress from uni by eating alot of chocolate (EASTER!), baking and cooking with alot of chocolate and do more polymer clay food modelling. i will also make time for a choc fondue session with the girls. i also look forward to trying out the chocolate flavoured masks sent to me from canada! cant wait!
Eat lots and lots of chocolate. That is all
what is easter without the easter egg hunt and then a huge banquit for lunch and dinner with my grandkids and the extendid family and then story telling from years gone past the kids love it (yeah thats the good old days).
Spending this Easter at an orphanage in West Timor. If I won I would take as my hand luggage and surprise the 74 children with this yummy treat.
I am having to celebrate Easter at a later date as one of my children is training at the AIS in Canberra. We used to have huge italian family feasts with some sort of elaborate egg hunt that I would concoct each year for the little ones.
Now it is just my son, daughter and myself, the festivities are
less imaginative and grand…I
figure a huge ferrero rocher centrepiece will bring back the
festivity and the people..
We always have a family picnic in a park. My kids love making a pinata filled with chocolate eggs to hang from a tree and everyone gets a turn to hit it with a bat (or Nanna’s walking stick)!
It’s a tradition for our family to hold an Good Friday brunch. So there will be eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast, hash browns with hot cross buns and chocolate Easter egg muffins and coffee to finish.
I am spending it with my two girls and hubby and going to the sunshine coast, where it will probably rain, for a couple days. Then home saturday night to cook a roast and other things for easter!
I’m going to, for the first time in my life, have a public holiday where I’m paid not to be at work. Squee!! Having only ever been a student or a casual retail worker before, I’ve never really experienced the joy of the public holiday in full. Booyah! (There will also been copious chocolate, but that’s not Easter in my book, that’s just life.)
Wow… words escape me!
The fun thing i’m doing this easter is: not going to do any work for five whole days!! (trust me, that is a BIG deal!)
xxx
I am planning to stay home and veg out with the family and eat chocolate!
great giveaway!
This Easter I’m heading to KL for some serious shopping and relaxtion time! Thank you cheap flights on Air Asia!
Oh Lorraine, you make me want to live in Australia soooo badly! Also, how was your trip to NZ? I wish it had occurred to me to meet up with you perhaps
The fun thing I’m doing? Eating of course, what else is more fun and satisfying than that?
Wow that looks amazing!
It’s holiday time for me (I work in a school) and the things I”m most excited about doing during my holidays are going to see Danny Bhoy as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival and doing a cooking class at CAE. Danny Bhoy is absolutely hilarious – I’ve seen him 3 times before – and I can’t wait to watch him again. And my cooking class is going to be run by the owner of Crabapple Cupcake Bakery, about making and decorating delicious cupcakes! I”m so excited!
My kids have our Easter all planned out – my 6 yr old has drawn a picture of it, just to make sure we know what we are all doing! If they have their way, we are camping somewhere with their friends (they each get to choose one friend apparently) and having a huge egg hunt. We have to camp somewhere with lots of holes so the the Easter Bilby can hide lots of eggs!
Being 37 weeks pregnant by that stage I think eating a whole lot of chocolate sounds great fun for me and bub.
The family will be coming to me to celebrate this year – not sure what will be on the menu at this stage but I dont think they would say no in sharing in this treat with me!!
We always have two Easter Egg hunts … one for the little kids and one for the big kids!
for the Easter holidays I am going to overindulge in chocolates as usual. Chocolate = winning
Wow Lorraine, what a yummy treat to win. This Easter will be the first time I have spent the holiday with my Aussie family for 6 years! I can’t wait! I have been home a couple of times, but at Christmastime. This year also culminates with my 30th birthday…. Yikes, I’m getting older! It will be a time for family and fun, for yummy food and let’s hope, for Ferreros!!!
This Easter I am planning to meet my girlfried’s parents for the first time after nearly 7 years together. We’re going to be really stressed out so I think we’ll be needing to eat all those Ferreros before we see them! Yikes
This Easter my hubby and I will be hosting at our home – everyone together sharing lots of yummy food which we will be preparing on our fabulous new bbq. This super duper Ferrero sculpture would be heaven for the kids in the family, my son and my niece take after me – both chocaholics – I am so proud!! LOL. My two nephews one loves chocolate the other doesn’t – not a problem more for us and my little nephew who is only 4 days old will be trained early that Ferrero is the only way to go …. no tasting for him but the memory will be imprinted once he sees this divine structure on my dining table!!! xo
I’m off to the Easter Show of course!
travelling from Sydney to visit my soon-to-be 96 year old Grandma in Toowoomba and sharing some sweet Easter treats with her! She is a living treasure!! (and used to make a mean Xmas cake …and pikelets on request!)
My partner and I are going to make vindaloo and take it over to my grandmas house. She will probably give us a chocolate easter egg with smarties in it because that was my favourite when I was little (still is) and a packet of Chux wipes (I have no idea why, but she give us a packet every christmas and easter
???!).
What a fantastic give away!!
We are having my boyfriends 2 sons coming to stay with us over the school holidays, as we do each Easter. So our Easter will be filled with lots of chocolate treats for the boys, trips to amusement parks (we’re planning on going to Sea World) and playgrounds. I am sure we will be broke and exhausted by the end! Just in time for our trip to the United States! LOL!
Lamb with friends from the US!
Yum!! This Easter I will be having a baby!! My poor husband says “surely that deserves some chocolate!!”. The bub will be our first – a little girl. Am sitting back now waiting for her to come any day now – fulfilling my cravings via your blog!
I am just going to stuff my face all over the holidays.
I’m going to climb Sydney harbour bridge!
That looks amazing. These easter holidays are going to involve lots of work and small amounts of boyfriend and parents if I can scrounge some time off. It’s a sad, sad life.
I’m going on an Asian food fest – Since my buddy from Tassie is coming to visit, she always insists on going to the best places in Chinatown. We’re hitting up Shark Fin House for yum cha and Hutong Dumpling bar – that’s for starters…I’m sure we’ll get to try many more.
We are dying and decorating our hard boiled eggs in preparation for our Easter Day hill roll. We are also attempting to make our own chocolate eggs this year to give to friends. The boys and myself will also go to see Space Lego at the Observatory as they are both Lego crazy, along with catching up with family and friends.
I am so excited about Easter!
I’m going to the National Folk Festival and I get to perform a Swing Dance routine with my swing group!
I only started Swing about two months ago but I absolutely adore it.
A lot of practice is involved, but I think it will be worth it.
What a fun egg! It’s school holiday’s as another commenter noted, so we’ll be doing lots of fun things. But the most fun will be popping down the coast for my bro-in-law’s wedding. So looking forward to it
Kicking back, taking time off from work to spend with my family and indulging in a bit of chocolate eating.
Easter is my favourite holiday because its a chocolate holiday. We spend Easter long weekend with our family. I make a beatuful slow cooked curry and follow it up with yummy home made deserts. Then on Sunday we watch movies and eat lots of easter eggs! Yay! Im already excited
An Easter at home this year, but we’re off to the zoo. The kids heard about Bilby chocolates and are desperate to see a Bilby!
Having been apart from my beloved eldest daughter at Christmas and having her meet her new step-siblings this Easter and this will be the first Easter since 1978 that I have been reunited with my long ago lover and soul mate…… which events are all deserving of such a golden unforgettable centrepiece
We stick to the family tradition of making dad dress up as Easter Bunny for all the grandkids and he hops (these days hobbles) around the backyard throwing the Easter eggs out to them all. (there is always a few that end up in dogs bowl and some in the chook pen) so no one misses out.
We are taking Boo to the movies.
It sounds ho hum but a HUGE thing for him. He is really excited and I hope that he stays longer than the credits.
He has his noise cancelling headphones packed in a ‘going to the movies’ bag at the door already! YAY!
Easter at my place is still full of Italian traditions when it comes to the food. I’ll be baking Italian Easter pizza di pane, making coloured eggs, organising an Easter egg hunt and cooking copious amounts of food for breakfast and lunch. However, if I were the lucky recipient of this amazing Golden Egg I would lavish this masterpiece of chocolate on my daughter Gabriella, a real die-hard sweet-tooth who has given up sweets for the whole period of Lent. Believe me this is no mean feat and I admire her tenacity and strong will.
My daughter is now 3 so she is finally old enough to understand the concept of ‘Easter Egg Hunt’ – which is what we’ll be doing on Easter Sunday. I can’t wait to hide all the little eggs and have them look for them!
OH…. MY…. GOD! *salivates* I will be dreaming about this one.
I will be travelling to Newcastle to visit my father-in-law. Very much looking forward to spending Easter with him, as it will be the first time
How stunning is that egg and how delightful would taht be to share with my family and wake up easter morning and munching on it for Brewakfast the only day of the year to enjoy CHOCOLATE for breakfast.
Laughter,excitement,squeals of delight
Knowing the eater bunny is coming late in the night!
A hint for the hunt, they plead and beg!
For a clue for where he’s hidden the eggs!
My family will be heading to The Great Ocean Road this Easter. We’ll be packing on all the wonderful goodies and snacks inside our rented caravan. It’ll be great fun and I’m so looking forward to a fabulous family holiday with lots of…
N.aps (gotta enjoy my beauty sleep inside the caravan)
O.cean (enjoy the sun, the wind and wonderful surfs)
T.una (lots of fishing and gorgeous local seafood – yum!)
Q.uay (Torquay, where we’ll be stopping over for a night)
U.tensils (plenty of ‘home’ cooking using instant recipes)
I.ndian curries (to keep us warm throughout the night)
T.ai-chi (head to the coast for fresh morning air at 5am)
E.aster (yes, lots of chocolates to keep up the energy)
N.ight (time to socialize with other campers over BBQ)
)
I.nternet (time to catch up with NQN for great company)
G.eelong (another stopover for craft markets and wines)
E.ggs (more chocolates to keep up the energy
L.atte (with fresh morning toasts for hearty breakfast)
L.obsters (and fresh oysters for lovely dinner)
A.pollo Bay (Kosta’s Taverna for fabulous Greek salad)
So here you have it – my fun-filled, laid-back Easter break.
Have fun and keep safe!
Ferrero Rocher… mmmm…. now where were we? Oh yes, what fun things are happening over Easter. Well, I’m going to a concert in the Opera House with the Blind Boys of Alabama, Mavis Staples and Aaron Neville. Hugely looking forward to them sing.
Easter lunch is never a big thing for our family because there is not many of us, but this year we have booked into the C-Restaurant which is a revolving restaurant on the 33rd Floor of a Perth high rise building. So excited because the view will be amazing, the food will be fabulous and there will be no cleaning up afterwards!! Bliss!!
Really looking forward to going to Sydney Wildlife world with the kids, My oldest Miss thinks she Bindi the jungle girl lol
this easter holidays we are heading over to beautiful rottnest with family from melbourne to spend quality time together.
Trying to do some work, but I will probably end up playing bejewelled or browsing ebay
I’m going to eat lots and lots of chocolate and not feel guilty.
Yum! We’re so looking forward to an Easter trip to mt hotham staying in a lodge with 5 families. We’ve already done a googledoc roster for dinners so as we work in pairs cooking one night and sit back by the fire drinking red wine on our nights off – it’s going to be delicious with great company and eggsited children!
I’m going to be managing a team of 50 volunteers at the National Folk Festival doing our best to ensure that 50000 patrons have a great Easter. This golden easter egg from Ferrero Rocher would be a great way of rewarding them for their efforts.
Oh and it’s our 10th wedding anniversary on good Friday so it’s an eggstra special Easter!!
first easter off in 6 years can’t wait to spend it with my youngest we’re going to get so messy and have a great time just by been together and playing whatever the hell he wants
I will be spending Easter at my in-laws family reunion at a tiny country town in the middle of nowhere. I also have to take all my own food as the lady in charge of food said ‘don’t worry that you can’t eat wheat, I’ll just make you spaghetti. That doesn’t have wheat in it, does it?’
My fun plans for Easter involve being discharged from hospital after my surgery on 11 April. They say I should be out in around 10 days, so I will spend the Esater break having lots of cuddles from my daughter and husband and watching them eat all the Easter foods – I’ll not be able to eat them as I’m having major bowel surgery.
This Easter will be spent flying up to Canberra to see my family who I haven’t seen since September, and my wedding, so a little busy then!! This will also be my first attempt at Hot Cross Buns, hopefully they turn out!!
Oh, I must, must, must, must have that chocolate. I must! That’s all I’m sayin’ xxxxx
PS. I will give it to somebody who REALLY needs it, wants it, & desires it.
Form me the beach and chocolate compliment each other, I’ll be having my first family holiday with my two little ones and husband at an Ocean Grove caravan park. Eggsactly perfect!
This Easter will be doubly good because Ukranian Orthodox Easter and American Easter fall on the same day. We are going to color and do traditional Pisanki (those very elaborate Easter eggs) and gorge on traditional foods. My aunts are making bread, my mom her fabulous Easter cheese and I am in charge of dessert. Wow, imagine being able to bring out that incredible egg filled with those lucious chocolates.
A Glorious Easter to All!!
My friends and I are going backwards bungee jumping in Singapore – plans to try the local chili crab that day not in order!
This Easter I’ll be attending an easter egg hunt organised by a friend to raise money for Youth Focus.
It’s going to be fun because we’ll be doing something silly and child-like, while raising money for an excellent cause.

Youth Focus is a not-for-profit WA organisation who offer mental health services. http://youthfocus.com.au/
Taking my boyfriend to the Easter Show, as he’s never been. Needless to say, scones and dagwood dogs shall be consumed in copious quantities!

Helping the georgous children from the pre-school I work at make Easter cards and Easter treats for the lovely ladies and gents at Nareen Gardens Uniting Care ,aged care facility at Bateau Bay. My Aunty who is 92 has been living there since early this year and there is so much life and happiness.Such a positive place!
easter sunday spent with family outside having easter egg hunts and outdoor games with the kiddies
This Easter I’m going up to Gosford with a group of my friends. There will be eating, drinking, fishing, gaming, swimming and just having fun. And I, of course, will be designated cook.
Easter to us is all about spending time with family/extended family/friends, obviously preparing lovely food – eating – would love the “special” easter egg to share. An added bonus this year is the Scottish Anzac Day March with Massed Pipe Bands through the City at noon, then holiday again next day to get over it all.
This Easter I will be the luckiest person in the world when I can enjoy with family and friends the Golden Easter Egg from Ferrero!
I am going to ask my husband nicely to peel my Easter Prawns for me, I don’t do peeling them but I love eating them slathered with cocktail sauce!
Pig out on loads of chocolate and if I win the Ferrero egg i’ll be ‘Dying to Try it’ instead of ‘Trying to Diet’!
Flying to England to surprise my mam – hopefully it’ll be an ‘Egg’cellent Easter treat for her!
This is the first time in a number of years that I will get to spend easter with my husband as he works away from home. We will be celebrating with our 14 month old daughter who will partake in her first chocolate crawl a thon. She will enjoy the searching and I can enjoy the chocolate – win, win situation. I am going to be game and try to make my own chocolate croissants and whooppee pies – not quite eggs but getting into the chocolately spirit of things.
The kids and I make our own Easter eggs to give as gifts to our family. Its a messy, hilarious and very special tradition in our family.
I will be putting on my Easter Bunny suit on the Friday, and getting on the fire trucks to collect money for the Royal Childrens Hospital, then on the Sunday,I will put it on again and go out to our local nursing home and hospital, and hand out Easter eggs to the patients and residents, and get there photos taken if they wish so, then I rush home, print out the pics and take them back to them. They love it, and I have a ball !!
Wow!!! Ferrero are my all-time favourites.
I’m probably going to eat way too much. My sister always dares me to eat some crazy number of Easter eggs and who am I to back down from a challenge?
I’ll also be baking up a storm as I’m on dessert for Easter lunch. Yum!
Easter my favourite time of thr year when i don’t feel guilty eating lots of my favourite Ferrero Chocolates
I’m looking forward to catching up with friends & family.
Hubby and I plan to enjoy our baby’s first Easter – he’s a little young for chocolate so I will have his share…
We have pumpkins, lemons and the last of the basil in the garden so I might get cracking on making lemon and vanilla marmalade, thai pumpkin soup and nice chunky pesto!
That egg is so golden, so good-looking and golden! Can’t wait for some fresh hot cross buns and a license to eat chocolate at any time of the day!
I will be adding carrots to the veggie garden so the easter bunny has something to eat.
My wedding anniversary falls on Easter Saturday this year. Convenient excuse to go away! We’ll be cosy in cabins at Cradle Mountain in Tassie. Eating (hopefully) lots of yummy chocolate.
I don’t know whether a non cook would consider this fun, but for those of you that love tinkering in the kitchen would probably enjoy this too. I will be making homemade hot cross buns. I have been doing this for the last few years, and I totally enjoy it.
I have a few gorgeous little Ferrero Rocher treats hidden away already for Easter… but it’s definitely the time and the season for more gorgeous chocolate!
We’ve just moved house so we’ll be sending the Easter Bunny a message in the next week or so… the kids don’t want to miss out on their treats. If you’d like to pass on our address to the lovely men and women at Ferrero then they’re welcome as well.
Fun time Easter eating lots of chocolate
We are heading to the country for the annual Mollyullah Easter Fair. It’s in its 111th year and it’s freaking awesome fun for all the family! I’m going to totally kick but at the ‘Guess the Height of the Pole’, ‘Guess the weight of the Sheep’ and the ‘Nail Driving’ competitions whilst hubby will take care of the ‘Pull the Tractor’, ’400m ‘older men’ sprint’ and the ‘Hole in One’ events. If our baby was bigger she would be playing ‘Smash the Rat’ (trying to smash an apple rolling out of a poly pipe), ‘Egg Toss’ then finding Easter Eggies in the massive haystack.
Love it! True family ‘togetherness’ fun
Lorraine, I don’t envy you – not one iota! But Frances (151) has to ‘take the cake’ for the most imagination and work put in!
Easter is an emotional time in our family – it is my deceased Grandmother’s birthday, My Mum and my Deceased Dad’s wedding anniversary, and the anniversary of the tragic death of two of my favourite uncles. Easter will be a time to enjoy precious memories and be thankful.
This easter period I will only be eating chocolate every second day in attempt to reign in my consumption!
Like everyones else’s comments yum yum yum and what a treat to share with all the family at a special time of the year Easter
I’ll be spending some serious time on the treadmill if I’m to indulge this easter! lol.
I’ll be working at Tamworth Hospital through out the Easter Break! Being single, unattached and carefree, I offered to take extra shifts from the married-with-children doctor crew so that they can enjoy an extended holiday with their family. Hopefully the only patients that I will need to treat in ED are those suffering from chocolate-intoxication! If I win the $400 Ferrero prize, I may need to treat myself and pump out my own stomach…
this easter, im going to catch up on all my missed dramas due to uni work with a hot mug of hot chocolate, block of chocolate and chocolate cake.
this easter im going to spend majority of my time learning how to cook for my wife.
I will be cooking Easter lunch for the family for the very first time!
I figure a beautiful centrepiece may distract from the culinary disasters that may unfold
easter so much more fun than chrissy no family drama just food, fun and voluntering at the school art show
Rather than just eat eggs, l am planning some Easter cookery with chocolate cakes and pots. I have been collecting receipe magazines to get the most interesting chocolate variations. I would love to be that poster going to Zumbo’s cafe. I watched the series on SBS and l felt like l would need a good year to work through all the fanastic recipies – l would also need a fairy to grant wishes as my figure couldn’t handle it otherwise:)
That’s quite an egg!
This Easter will be quite uneventful, i’ll be driving my dad and brother (separate dates!) to the airport for their respective vacations…so doing a lot of driving!

This Easter we are taking our 3 month old son camping for the first time – I’m talking in a tent! The grandparents will be there to help so we are hoping it’s a fun experience! Would be better with a golden egg though (I mean seriously, what wouldn’t be better with a golden egg?)
This Easter I will be tackling my first EVER batch of macarons (salted caramel with chocolate ganache). The perfect occasion for chocolate indulgence. We are having a river side picnic in the recently Cylcone ravaged town of Innisfail, with home baked choc-chip hot cross buns (as well as the traditional sort), a beautiful smoked salmon and assorted salads.
Perfect way to spend the long weekend.
This Easter I will be showing my Canadian boyfriend how Easter is supposed to be. We’ll be camping in Byron Bay and popping over to the Blues and Roots festival for some sweet sweet tunes.
I’ll be playing a Murder Mystery game with friends set in Paris during Easter 1901 actually called ‘Death by Chocolate’!
Enjoying time with my son and his girlfriend, my elderly father and my husband. Quality family time.
Is it a coincidence that the 17th of April is also my birthday? I think not!
This Easter, the boy and I are heading down to Melbourne and eating up a storm! We’ve already got bookings for MoVida, Bistro Vue and 400 Gradi. We have also penned in Cumulus Inc, Sweet Source Bakery, EARL Canteen – just to name a few! The boy has been so nice to organise this trip for my birthday, I want to return the love by giving him a gigantic Easter egg of his favourite chocolate! Again, a coincidence? I think not!
hehehehehe! Mr. H, Miss PickyEater and I will be playing a trick on Mr.Adventurous (4yrs old) on Easter Day…will be purchasing a couple of packet of mini choc eggs and placing it near his bum early in the morning and when he wakes up we will tell him that he poop the eggs…
We’ll do our traditional painting of hard boiled eggs, followed by Midnight Mass and a huge feast after. It’s always fun on Sunday with an egg hunt and then playing board games with the children.
I am taking my boys camping for the first time. We are going to leave a note for the Easter Bunny on the kitchen table so he knows where we are to deliver the yummy Easter Eggs. We wouldn’t want to miss out.
Morning horse riding and then eat toasted gourmet hot cross buns (prob Brasserie bakery ones) with lashings of butter!
I’m going to introduce my boyfriend to my parents and extended family!

Seeing as I live in the UK, I’m gonna just comment and say that this looks amazing!
I’ll be doing some pretty bakeaholic things over easter, but mostly eating. Just…eating
I will be donning apron and wooden spoon to make minuature (6″) simnel cakes for all of my family. I use large catering-size chopped tomato tins!

Of to the mountains – warm fires, cold morning walks, lots of chocolate and red wine …. hnmmmmmmm, cant wait !!
This easter I’m really looking forward to taking a few days off after the public holidays and enjoying time with me family. Lazy days at home, just hanging out, what could be better?
I’m spending easter alone this year, so chocolate will definitely come in handy.
Knowing me, I’ll be baking up a storm.
This easter i will be planning my 2 year old son and one year old daughters first ever easter egg hunt in our backyard. I’m even going to dress up as an easter bunny in the morning and let them see me dropping eggs through the window. I think it will be a ball and probably more fun for me than my children.
This easter holidays I am planning to be placing a gold coin under the front step of our new house before the conrete slab is finally poured, it will mark the beginning of the end of a 2 year journey to build our dream home. Oh and there may be some scoffing of easter eggs in there too….
Oooh… this is amazing!
One thing I plan on doing is… no work at all. Bliss!
I am going to learn to ride a bike! Yes, I am an adult but as I am sure as a new driver, Lorraine, you can understand my apprehension about learning a new skill once your old! My BF keeps telling me it will be great fun! So positive thoughts, it will be!
I will be spending some much needed time with my darling kiddies and eating lots of chocolate
and hot cross buns and seafood … my mum is going to come over and make us a big seafood paella … not traditional but i can’t wait Lorraine
I will be using the extra day off as an excuse to eat more chocolate delights and hot cross buns. Food eaten when on holidays has zero calories

We’re going to New Zealand for a bonnet race and egg hunt with my niece and nephew in Wellington. They would adore this Wonkaesque contraption. So would I please.
x
WOW! Ferrero rochers are my FAVOURITE all time chocolates.
This Easter my partner and I are going on an Outback Adventure! We’re flying from Sydney to Adelaide then hiring a Wicked Camper, and driving from Adelaide all the way up to Darwin, then flying back to Sydney. All in 2 weeks! We’ll be visiting all the famous places along the way like The Barossa Valley, Coober Pedy, Uluru, Kings Canyon, Alice Springs, Katherine Gorge, Kakadu… It’s going to be great! Not sure what the cooking facilities are like in the Wicked vans, but we might be eating a lot of 2 minute noodles!! haha.
Happy Easter Lorraine!!
We will be going on our 2nd Annual Easter pub crawl. It involves 12 pubs, each representing a station of the cross. Jesus would approve we think.
something fun? well budget restrictions meant that we couldn’t go away and our car’s clutch is gone so no road-trips.. instead i’ve planned lots of little events like a couples’ massage, dinner with the family on easter sunday,
and lots of walking and rediscovering sydney
We’re heading to NYC and plan to eat our way through every hamburger, pizza, hotdog and dessert joint for easter!!!
I am most certainly looking forward to the Easter egg hunt. NOT just for children you know.
Wowsers! I’m going to our families farm and will spend a lot of my time sand boarding at Snowdrift, an ancient Mallee sand dune.
We are going camping to Bonnie Bonalbo with the family!! Woop!!… Can’t wait …
)
Easters time for all things funny
egg games and the Easter Bunny.
Seeing kids faces fill with delight
searching for hidden eggs at first light.
I’ve decided that a nana nap will be featuring on Easter Sunday in the afternoon… apparently we’re going to a local park for an Easter Egg Hunt (bet they’re not Ferrero Rocher’s though!) and face painting and all that fun stuff. A nap afterwards sounds divine!
Still thinking about what to make for Easter dinner… but roasted rabbit is definitely not on the menu!!!
we’re going to the Easter Show!
I will be enjoying myself up in sunny Port Douglas with yummy chocolate weather depending if its melted or not in the beautiful heat! Perhaps wine in one hand chocolate in the other!
I will be making myself sick,
By stuffing my face with chocolate.
I’m giving exercise the flick,
Having fun, not caring about my weight!
My dream of having the family all come down to the farm here on the far south coast near Bega has come true so we shall be starting with a traditional easter brekky and easter egg hunt (watching out for those snakes)maybe a walk in the spotted gum forest and then eating some more. I just adore easter! No courier service here to the farm so no winning the fab. Ferrero egg for us but we can dream on……
My son turns 9 on ‘not bad’ Thursday and he has asked for Adriano Zumbo’s Chocolate Mousse Cake as his birthday cake. After that we are heading down to Bundanoon for Easter and hitting the food and wine trail around the Southern Highlands. To compensate for all the extra eating we are also taking our bikes to ride thru the national park.
on easter sunday I’m having an easter lunch inviting 5 families and we are going to play foodie trivia & treasure hunt
I’m going to spend an entire day sitting on the balcony with a pot of coffee, a pile of good books beside me and the cat on my lap.
My family are spending Easter camping in the great outdoors, where I will have to sneak out of the tent early to ‘place’ the kids easter eggs. It can;t be done to early or the wild life might snatch it through the night!!!
We are taking our daughter for her first holiday this Easter – to the beach! Although it might be a bit chilly for swimming!
As a child, I have happy & fond memories of the Easter season.
From over-indulging in
chocolate,
To spending a fun day out at
the Easter Show.
They are memories that I will cherish forever.
Now as an adult, my main
concern is attending Easter
mass.
For this time round, it won’t
be a happy season due to my
mother’s illness.
So the most important memories,
I will take from this period
in my life are the quality time
I spend with my mother.
Finally, if I was to win this Easter hamper.. it would really
put a smile on my loving mother’s face.
We’ll be enjoying the yummy Hot Cross buns my friend baked.
I’m actually going to get paid for not going to work. Wow! Only working part-time, and never working Mondays, I always seem to miss out on Public Holidays. Not this time! Love Easter!
Oh Lorraine – all this just has to be kept for posterity!! And you are printing it out for Ferrero-Rocher, are you not?
Taking my son to the aquarium for the first time and having an easter hunt! Life is sweet when your 4 years old!
Traditional prawns on the BBQ with the family, followed by a Terrible Sweater Party catered from the 1987 Family Diet Cookbook – Prawn and Gelatine Salad anyone?
Why hopefully relax and eat Ferrero Rocher my fav chocolate, hint, hint to my girls
This will be my first NON working Easter in 30 years so sleep, eat, sleep, eat, watch TV & eat and chocolate!
My friends and family have all planned a easter weekend away camping in Qld. Were all looking forward to showing our nephews and nieces a real Easter egg hunt, and spending quality time relaxing around the campfire enjoying eachothers company.
This Easter I’ll get to see my little brother for the first time all year, as he is in the army in s.a – family reunion to celebrate Easter.
What would Easter be without Ferrero Rocher, so in theory I should be eating my fav chocs and relaxing, double hint to my girls
I will be spending Easter with the Bells, Bilbies, Bunnies, Water, cookies, chocolate, lamb and of course Rocher’s. Perfect!
Now if I win this it is a trip to Queensland to share with my son, another Rocher fanatic, whom I don’t get to see very often
wow that is one helluva egg & would make a wonderful centrepiece for the Easter table!! It seems too nice to eat & spoil the effect, but I’m sure we won’t be able to resist. It’s a great time to share the Easter traditions with family & friends.
Happy Easter to all!!!
This Easter should be goody since it’ll be on my daughters 1st birthday (: !!
(Of course) starting the day with an easter egg hunt, so far the plans are lunchtime with the relos at the zoo & then a fun little party in the afternoon, should be a very fun filled & fattening day!! (:
I’m going to impersonate the Easter Bunny this year! I’m hiring the suit (um not a rude one guys!) and getting a cute basket and some loose Easter Eggs!
I thought I’d give my children and some of my nieces and nephews an experience to remember, as they are usually asleep when the infamous EB arrives!
I’m also baking cakes with my kids, they love that so much! And also doing my blog- I love time off ‘real job’ so I can do my ‘pretend job’!
We are driving to Montville on the sunshine coast to visit there chocolate shop and the Lolly shop were they make everything right there in the store. Mmmm can’t wait. Love love love chocolate but ferrero are my favorite.
This easter I’m hoping to spend it with my family and make some home-made hot cross buns yum. This year will be my nephews first easter.
OH wow…that is just pure decadence!!
Well this year like every year we will be having a big Good Friday get together with the whole extended family. So about 40+ people feasting on seafood delights that we all contribute.
Then Easter Sunday (my favourite!) We will be putting on an Easter Egg Hunt in our backyard for my nieces and nephews and maybe some cousins who live locally!! Easter Egg Hunts are such a treasured memory from my childhood that I am so happy I can continue this tradition with the younger generation. No doubt the Easter Bunny will leave some footprints leading to the back garden and maybe a few left over nibbled carrots. Many photos and videos will be taken, I’m sure!!
At least this way I can revisit my childhood and I just love seeing them excitedly run around the garden searching high and low!!!
Happy and Safe Easter everyone xoxo
I love Easter. Easter to me is all about family and getting together with lots of fun and talking and lovely memories. We get every family together at our house.
We celebrating Easter in our own home thos year. Family live either 8 to 20hrs drive away and its just not fair to keep thd kids cooped up in thd car and its not safe with so kuch traffic around. I am preparing a dessert party table and finding fun games and activities to play ss a family. What an amazing centre piece this would make.
oooh easter. Love it as it’s a chocoholics dream.
This year I’m painting my own eggs and hand making little easter baskets with spring flowers and red, green and white ribbons to put them in as use as little gifts to give my friends and family at easter dinner.
It’s my way of honoring the pagan spring ties to easter as well as my families christan ties to the day. Either way it’ll be alot of fun and I can’t wait.
…like every other day of tha year!
EATING CHOCOLATE!DOh!
HAPPY EASTER CHOCOHOLICS
I would like to win this – not only to be able to indulge without guilt – but to share my guilt with my family on Easter weekend when we will be casmping in the beautiful n/w of Victoria Australia. Good luck to us!
I am spending some time with my family i have 6 siblings and i love them all and hope to spend time with them individually throughout the break I am also hoping to snack on some delicious Ferrero Rochers
Yummy I hope i can win this in this amazing opportunity and i would love to share this wonderful gift with my whole family
we really cant afford to go away over easter and as my kids are just coming into their teenage years the easter egg hunt in the backyard can be a little boring so the night before im going to fill 2 buckets with filled water balloons and hide them out back as well and then ambush them when they are out in the backyard cause fun and laughter dont cost much…then we will eat our easter feast…hope everyone has a happy easter…
I would like to win this – not only to be able to indulge without guilt – but to share my guilt with my family on Easter weekend when we will be casmping in the beautiful n/w of Victoria Australia. Good luck to us!
I only give chocolate for easter to the adults, the grandkids get enough chocolate from their other grandies and parents and aunties so I give them a gift instead (clothing, books, music) but how I would love to sit down and eat Ferrero Rocher Pralines all to myself without having to hide from hubby, I wonder if he would look in the wardrobe for me?? Happy Easter Ferrero!!
This Easter is my first Easter as a newlywed. This year I will try and attempt my first hot crossed buns. Fingers crossed that they will taste and look great.
This easter will be fun because for once my hubby who’s a chef will be home to enjoy easter with our 3 children, and this year all my family will be coming with all the kiddies and we will do a fabulous easter hunt and hubby will cook a beautiful feast, A family easter is always the best kind of easter!
Easter for me this year is somewhat overshadowed by a terrible phone call from my mum last week. She called to advise me that the easter bunny was no more! EXCUSE ME???
After years of sending me chocolate at boarding school, and again through uni, she now tells me the bunny has hung up his ruck sack.
Boo.
So please miss NQN, don’t let the Easter Bunny miss me this year!
My children and I are going to eat good food and relax. Easter is a time for family and eating without guilt. I am also going to celebrate my birthday.<3
This looks fantastic. Over easter I will be spending time with my adopted family ( eating lots of chocky) who have been there for me & my daughter since my wife died. I love you all. You know who you are.
It’s my daughter’s 2nd Easter…and the 1st 1 that she’ll remember and be able 2 take part in so i’ll be doing an easter egg hunt with her and my 6 nieces and 3 nephews. Cant wait 2 c their smiling faces and hear their giggles
the funny thing im doing this easter is actually eating a easter egg ive missed out on easter the past 2 years, cause i was pregnant during both easters and i was too sick to eat. so thats what ill be doing finding the biggest chocolate egg i can find and eating it all to myself
My hubby and I with my 5-yr old son will spend Easter at home. Together we will watch “The Passion of Christ” and teach our little boy the sacrifice that the Lord made for us. We’ll have our meal together and end the day with a thanksgiving prayer.
This easter we will have our traditional easter egg hunt with the kids, Jett 3 and Charlotte 6, but this time we will have my neice and nephew too as their mum is sick. Its gonna be great with all the kids together. Good luck everyone!
wow. this absoultley amazing, chocolate has never looked better.:)
i agree that one of the best thing about easter is chocolate, but the one thing better is eating that chocolate with your family and friends . this easter im going to spend a week in hervey bay sitting around the camp fire at night and going to the beach, eating chocolate and having a good drink during the day, Its the first time my youngest sister is coming with us it will be amazing teaching her to make a basket for the bunny.. and hiding chocolate all over the place for her to find..
ferrero’s are the best chocolates Ever made,
. hope you have a great easter! =]
Hanging out with my gorgeous kids, family and eating lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of chocolate. That’s pretty much it!!!
Spending the lovely easter break camping with my family and friends. Easter is extra special this year as it is my darling twins first easter
My kids an I will be going camping on the beach for a couple of days! We will be home Easter day to do a big Easter egg hunt with our friends and family total of 20 children with baskets and eggs n toys to be found around our local park. This was organized between the parents and a BBQ with refreshments. Can’t wait
This easter is going to be fantastic in that I will have an extra day to recover from a self induced chocolate coma. Lots of fun with nieces, god children and cousins as we fill them with chocolate so they can run around and let the grown ups lounge after a huge easter lunch. My ultimate weekend, good food (italian feast thanks to in-laws), great company (my beautiful extended family), and a long lazy weekend to soak in some sun at home and at the beach. A gorgeous easter centerpiece would be the icing on the cake at lunch however given my father in laws ferrero addiction if i did win would it make to the end of lunch.
I look forward to Easter so much because for me it means reaffirming my faith in the resurrection of Christ…and it also means that I have absolutely no guilt over asking for and getting for Fererro Rocher chocolates!! Roll on Easter…
I look forward to Easter so much because for me it means reaffirming my faith in the resurrection of Christ……and it also means that I have absolutely no guilt over asking for and getting and EATING lots of Ferrero Rocher chocolates, which I LOVE…..Roll on Easter!!
This year like every year we will be dyeing blown eggs to make Cascarones/confetti eggs (a Mexican tradition) to hide for the Easter Egg Hunt then after they are all found you smash them over each others heads (gently) and let the confetti rain down on the person! So much fun as we all laugh and giggle at having eggs smashed over our heads but this year will be even better as the nieces and nephews will be there too! Also we will be trying our hand at making Crullers (Austrian tradition) as I like our son to learn of different traditions and foods people around the world enjoy at Easter.
Happy Easter all!
Sharing your magnificent Farrero Rocher with my family would be fantastic this Easter.
The Easter egg hunt would be so much fun in our new garden, we may even find a real bunny. The Rocher will be so obvious everyone would trip over it. They won’t see the wood for the trees.
What a luxury center piece. Please give me a chance to display this on the table at our family easter dinner.
Easter hunt with my two little kiddies , first yr hunt for my 14 month old. Last year we did the hunt throughout the house. I made a bunny footprint template used talc powder and put footprints all throughout the house. It was lots of fun but also lots of cleaning up too.
Just as much fun
This year is going to be outside
I’ll be enjoying the break by spending time with the family and looking forward to spending time especially with the kids. We have a tradition in our family …. We love spending the Friday going to mass, and then eating fresh hot cross buns smothered in lashings of butter for afternoon tea! Mmmm ; We usually have fish and chips by the beach for an early dinner too! Then we spend Saturday relaxing and painting eggs in red so that we can hide them with the real chocolate eggs on Sunday in the BIG Easter Egg Hunt. It’s such a joy with the kids and seeing the excitement in their eyes from discovering all the hidden treasures tucked away in the bushes. With the red eggs we crack them against each other for good luck and to see who’s cracks more for luck. This year will be grand as we have an extra day off to recover and we will probably go have a picnic and let the kids run wild with all their energy!
Can’t wait for Easter and indulging in all the naughty foods!
I’m intending to hide away from the world on a deserted island with my wonderful husband and children. Accessed only by boat and known to not many…and indulging in my favourite pastime chocolate eating.
Hope everyone is as lucky as I
Happy easter!!!
We have the Gladstone Harbour Festival here, with the Brisbane to Gladstone yacht Race. Always lots of free entertainment, and lots of fun. The best part? Two nights of fireworks!!!
As we live in the country, our easter will start by having a big bonfire, with friends and family, then a BBQ, a few drinks and hopefully your ferrero rocher chocolates and a few ports around the fire. MMMMMM Happy Easter
Whilst other mothers and fathers cook delicious roasts,
Prepare seafood lunches, and make champagne toasts,
And while their little children hunt and play,
These are not activities I will be doing come Easter day….
Instead, I will be rising at dawn break,
And grooming my fluffy fur coat,
Preparing my bottomless basket full of eggs,
And hitting the road!
And I hear you ask,
Why I am up so early?
Well it is because… I am she!
The illustrious Easter bunny!
Just a nice simple one, hanging out with my kids and of course I’ll set up an egg hunt for them.
I am looking forward to spending Easter with family this year, we are going out west to spend it with my partners side, and will be completing it with a birthday celebration for his fathers 70th.
It will be wonderful to see what all that water has done for the green grass I am expecting to see out there.
looking forward to going to see my son in Smoky Bay, havn’t seen him for 4 months, road trip here we come, with lots of ferrero no shares!!
I am planning on spending Easter with my wonderful husband and our two wonderful daughters. Apart from eating lots of fish, we will eat lots of chocolate.

Goodbye diet! This is a perfect excuse to break it and catching up with friends so this would make a nice centrepiece on the table. coffee and ferrero can’t think of anything nicer.
I will be working – in mental health rehabilitation – that’s why I need a golden egg
to some it may not be fun but to me i couldnt think of anything else in the would that i would rather do then spend the day watching the delight and excitement on my four babies faces on easter day when the easter bunny has came!
Easter bunnies,
sunny days,
eating Ferrero,
watching kids play,
visiting parents,
make time to pray,
go to the beach,
eat lots of nice things,
just some of the goodies
that my easter brings!
I would love to share the big egg with my friends and family – such a GOLDEN opportunity!!
I am an adult that never had a easter egg hunt when i was young.
For this easter, My boyfriend and I are going to Canberra to house and dog sit, and he is going to hide some chocolate eggs for me to hunt!
Happy Easter
Easter is a very special time in an Italian family. We all gather together for lunch. This year it is at my house. After having given up chocolate for lent, we will definitely start eating it at breakfast (yes, appalling but necessary!) then we will all sit for a feast of 7 hour slow cooked lamb shoulder which my husband has kindly gotten up in the middle of the night to put in the oven and served with copious amounts of shaved fennel. I won’t bore you with all the accompaniments . No Easter feast is complete without nonnas recipe for the most amazing tiramisu – of course more chocolate accompanied with shots of espresso cafe. Heaven. Can’t wait!
Yikes, LOTS of people want to win this one! I am slightly mad when it comes to chocolate too, I don’t share it with ANYONE!
I am going to the Sydney Easter show with my two daughters and my grand daughter.
This Easter, me and my partner are going away for the very first time with my two daughters, son-in-law and my grandson who is two and a half and grandaughter who is going to turn one on the 13 April.. We are going to a place called Kilkunda Caravan Park, we have hired two cabins. The park overlooks the ocean, we are taking the children to see the fairy penguins at Phillip Island, we will have lovely walks and play on the sand with the children, nice lunches and and even better family dinners for four days, can’t wait

I will be spending this Easter with my kids & watching my 8 month old son have his first Easter egg. I can’t wait to see the excitment on his face & the faces of my other kids when they wake up on Easter morning.
My cousin and his wife and her 3 children are coming to Australia for 3 weeks holiday. He met her on the internet, went over to give things a go, things worked out and they married. This will be their first time out of Canada. We have so much in store for them, like their first family function (Easter Sunday lunch with 40 people!) and a game of AFL…Cats v Pies. Go Geelong!

We are having a Death By Chocolate Party and this egg would be the WOW factor centrepiece.
We are a chocolaholic family so Easter is bliss. Please give me the egg or a party will be amiss
I,ll be taking my prize and locking the door!!!and not coming out until at least four!!!

We’re going to try and catch our Good Friday lunch and failing that, we’ll have back-up prawns!
On Easter Sunday my little nieces get to have their first Easter egg hunt…I cannot wait
That Ferrero Golden Easter Egg definitely looks amazing! and i would like to have it for sure!!
For these Easter holidays i will be helping in the task of boiling 150 eggs and dyeing them with different colours so that they are ready to be given out on Easter Sunday! ^^
I will be spending Easter with My bestfriend. We dont get to catch up with each other often as we are both so busy. So to enjoy five days relaxing and eating chocolate will be DEVINE!!
This Easter, as with all Easters past, I’ll be munching out on Bunny Eggs, Rochers (love the dark brown ones and the white ones … devine!) and camping with good food, good drinks, and good company.
I’ll be making greek easter treats with my Grandmother,Mum, Aunties and Cousins. We are making Tsoureki(sweet easter bread)and Flaounas (savoury bread with cheese mixture and sultanas)
Its a yearly tradition! If you want some recipes to try over easter give them a shot there fabulous to make and share with Family & Friends!
This would be great to share at the Easter Ball! yummmmy
That is one impressive golden egg. Almost… too good to eat, but not quite. Easter will be spent at home with two small girls and quality time with my husband. Hopefully catching up on some much needed sleep too.
I would love to share
with one and all
at the Easter Ball
this gift from Ferrero Roche.:)
The Ferraro chocolate would be the best gift to be granted to beloved and special person in this occasion. I’m eating Ferraro rocher now, it’s irresistible chocolate.
It seems that everyone else is having so much fun at Easter time. In between moving house, I will dip some white eggs in dye with my children. It’s fun, messy and very traditional.
OMG>.. WANT. I will be away on Easter. Always good to have quality time away.
OMG hello golden “ferrero” Easter egg… My mum every single mothers day, easter, christmas, anniversary has to have ferrero rochers if i could get my my hands on something like this to surprise her with she would honestly be in heaven! Always look forward to the easter break time with my 3 gorgeous boys & time too see family eat loads of food & even more chocolate. luv hiding chocolates everywhere for my boys to do the egg hunt & watching them trying to out do each other to see who can get the most chocolate
FAMILY, EASTER, CHOCOLATE <3
Five day retreat at my beautiful home that I never, ever get to see enough. Craft, chocolate (of course), chatting with friends (via fb and email), enjoying the garden. My idea of bliss!
My fiancé will be flying into Melbourne from Italy to join me for a belated Valentine’s Day. Yeah, I know it’s sad that we’ve waited this long to celebrate the special occasion. Work has been keeping us apart for 2 years now. I’m still waiting for that engagement ring (really feeling like Bec from ‘Winners and Losers’
). I’ve even reserved a table at MoVida for us two since February! Anyway I’m keeping my fingers crossed, in case the ring doesn’t arrive, I can at least comfort myself with this $400 Golden Easter Egg and drown my disappointment in chocolate and all that Italian bling!
My Egg-citing Easter will be the same as each & every year. I am a Ferrero-holic, so what better time to have an excuse to indulge than Easter!! I will take my little golden treats, away from prying eyes…..somewhere quiet & tranquil……..admire the little gem…..then scoff myself stupid!!! Over & over & over again.
But how worth it it will be !!!
On the Friday we bake hot cross buns and decorate eggs with glitter and ribbon to fill our ‘easter basket’ which will also be decorated with candy coated eggs (although the kids don’t know they’re edible!). Saturday we have a child free day with a flight to the Margaret River region for lunch at a winery. Sunday involved an easter hunt (mostly toys with a little chocolate) and lots of beautiful quality food for the whole family
Easter Egg hunts are always great for the kids. Last year my husband decided to make it more interesting by hiding my secret stash of Ferrero’s. What a blast. Can’t wait till this Easter, to do it all over again. Just like being a kid again, but only better.
We had a great idea…take a piece of candy and repalce with with a colored Easter egg. The colored cooked eggs are then donated to the local food bank along with chocolates for everyone.
Amazing golden egg!!
exciting!
This easter my son is old enough to get excited about it, so i am planning a very big easter hunt in the back yard for him and his friends to hunt all day long
Wow – that is certainly and amazing centrepiece!!! Although at my house I think it would be missing quite a few “pieces” by the time it hit the centre of the table! Looks divine!
I am doing absolutely nothing this Easter – and looking forward to it! 5 days in a row just to potter around and take my time – and eat copious amounts of chocolate – my favourite time of the year!! Hope you have a very Happy Easter!
I’m going to take my baby who will be 3 weeks old on her first Easter Egg hunt, then I’m going to eat all of her eggs for her
seeing the face on our 3yo when she does her easter egg hunt is the highlight of our easter and so much fun.
My Ozzy hubby in Junee NSW is a chocoholic and I am too but alas I am in the UK at Easter and miss him and he misses me and the next best thing to us not being together is… eating your DELICIOUS chocolate .Ferrero chocs really help us cope with being apart and when I return to Junee we will celebrate with even more Ferrero xxx
I’m putting together an Easter Egg Hunt for my 2 year old in the back yard if it’s a nice day and will include only small eggs so that more of them can be hidden and found, extending the fun. I’ll also include some non-chocolate treats like a books and bunny ears to wear over to the grandparents for lunch.
A simple family get together of food and wine, and all of us acting like children as we hold an Easter egg hunt!
I am going to hop around and check out the local sites on a picnic and enjoy the glorious weather!
Each easter i see if my partner had the forethought enough to buy me Red tulip Elegant rabbits before they sell out. Red tulip isnt the best chocolate but i’ve been eating those rabbits ever since i was kid and it just makes me happy. So, Jesus willing, I will be eating elegant rabbits this easter.
I will take the whole family for a drive and enjoy this beautiful weather and do some egg decorating with the kids too.
Mmmmm yummo!
As usual this Easter I’ll be baking up batches of hot cross buns and investigating new Diabetic friendly Easter recipes for my mum who’s about to experience her first Easter sans chocolate!
This Easter I am busy fitting & sewing 35 costumes for some talented teenagers for their up-coming school musical “ALICE”. White Rabbit has been a challenge…lots of white fluff everywhere. I need lots of Chocolate to get me through the late nights sewing.
Give me the “BKH Easter Centrepiece by Ferrero” and no-one gets hurt
hahaHAPPY EASTER BUNNIES
The grandchildren and I are going to hide the easter eggs for the grownup easter egg hunt!!
Spend time with My family!!! Hubby always works through the Easter Holidays but this year I am making sure he dosn’t
My 16 month old son loves to climb and has learnt to drag the dining chairs so as to climb onto the table so our easter egg hunt will be a bundle of laughs as find new ways to challenge his climbing abilities
Mmmmm, eat my fill of cadburys creme eggs before they disappear from my life again for another year!
This year I’m going to bring back to my 20 grandees the experience of a traditional Easter: the fasting, midnight mass in the eastern Orthodox tradition and the feasting after on sumptious easter foods
Zoooooo……the last time I went to Taronga Zoo was back in 1999, it was my first date with my now fiance. Since we are getting married, we plan to go to the zoo for easter. How nostalgic
Love Ferrero, and this is the ultimate egg.
Between eating lots of choc this easter, Ill be working off the Cals topping up my soil and mulch in the garden. My 2 fave things. A win-win combination
I was thinking that I might make a really nice roast lamb for dinner on Easter Sunday… or perhaps a citrus glazed duck. I’m pretty sure the one thing I absolutely should not cook would be rabbit on a spit like I remember from camping holidays. Pig on a spit though… yum!
This Golden Easter egg
would make my Easter sweet
Ferrero Chocolates
really are a treat
Cooking is my joy
Not Quite Nigella
makes it easy
With a bit of luck
this great egg
would really please me
I’d like to thank you both
NQN & Ferrero
for giving us this chance
to light up Easter
with a fair go!
I’m going to share these ferrero rochers with my family in the town of Cowra. Giving is fun.
My grandmother who is 83, My nan who is 78 and pop who is 80. My Dads sister and her partner. My brother. Will all enjoy these chocolates. Eating is Fun!
We have ferrero rochers at Christmas usually. But I don’t think anyone will mind if they appear at Easter as well. Easter is always fun!
easter yay . means alot to my family as usually we are too busy working or school . so it means we get to spend quality time together . time to laugh and chill together which is rare most of the time .
I love eASTER MY FAVOURITE TIME OF YEAR THE LIGHT COMMIGN OUT OF THE DARK! cHOCOLATE THAT IS!
Very excitted for these easter holidays as my Mother and Father are coming for a week from Brisbane so abit of traveling around our beautiful Tasmania and just spending quality time. The kids cant wait!!
I always spend Easter with loved ones, be it my son and daughter, parents, friends or a partner if I have one. It doesn’t matter where I am each year as long as with friends or family. I always enjoy Ferrero Roche chocolates at easter as always buy myself them as a treat for easter. Would be awesome to entertain with such a delightfully tasty treat as a table centre piece this year
The Easter Tree who needs Christmas…………
Bad news may travel fast – well, guess it is great that good news seems to travel faster!! Nearly 400! And some days to go!! We’ll say ‘hip-hip-hurray’ for an obviously good combo in a few days time!
spending a lovely day with my family
and friends with a BBQ and looking at photos mum and dad get the day off and family travel far we finish with the beach and same Easter fun and when the sunsets we say our good byes and wish them a safe travel home
Your chocolate egg is beautiful we’d have fun sharing it around. Love Easter, spending it with family & going to the beach is always good.
We will be spending the holiday hanging out with our 3 beautiful children and my family playing games, swimming, having delicious food that I learnt from here(getting the creative juices flowing)I will be doing my favorites – Stained Glass Jelly and Honey Joys. I think I will also try and make the Easter Chick Nests as gifts for my kids.
Despite my best intentions, I am going to eat too much chocolate.
Is there such a thing as ‘too much chocolate’?
I am looking forward to spending time with my family at easter! Doesnt happen often enough as we dont live in the same city! So lots of catching up and eating lots of easter goodies will be on the agenda!
)
This Easter,I am going to set a trap for the Easter Bunny (don’t tell me he’s not real)! With a handful of carrots (much healthier than chocolate, but I know which one I’d rather eat), I will lure that Easter Bunny right into my net, and PERSUADE him to share all his chocolate eggs with me.
The traditional easter egg hunt, for the kids is soo much fun
and at the end instead of more chocolate…
a white rabbit for more fun!
succulent,sensuous,indulgent Oh,
My senses have been aroused
Ferrero roche has dazzled me so
And my ravishings can’t be doused
This easter will start off with our delicious easter hunt for the children..we only use ferrero eggs! Then followed by easter egg hunts all weekend long…Just the way the children love to spend easter…hunting for eggs! Easter isn`t easter without ferrero rocher
Oh I love Ferrero! Well I was looking forward to doing nothing this easter but relaxing, but now we have to move house instead! So the fun thing that I will be doing is packing and cleaning…
Easter is a special time with family and remembering and celebrating New Life. My favourite Easter tradition which we have begun is an Easter Egg Hunt with my now 2 and a half year old daughter. Last year her little face lit up when she discovered the Easter Bunny had nibbled the carrot she had left out and he had left Bunny Footprints all through the house. I loved sharing her delight as she hunted around the garden for eggs. One Gold Bunny sat on her shelf for 7 months after Easter and she would point at it and say the Easter Bunny brought it. After 7 months she finally decided it was time to eat the bunny! I can’t wait to see her excitement again this year!
I am going to eat as much chocolate as the kids so we can all race around like crazy on a sugar high!
Off to Canberra and going to the dawn service at the War Memorial. Never been to a dawn service before and looking forward to it. If I’m lucky enough to win I’d donate it to a the elderly at my mum’s aged care facility. I’m sure the mum’s would love it for mother’s day.
I’ll quite simply be eating lots of chocolate eggs and chocolate hot cross buns, yumm. My birthday is near Easter so that’s a double bonus for me – Kind of like having a birthday around Christmas but better, because I am an absolute chocolate fiend.
spending eatser with my 3 favourtie males , hubby, DS 4 and DS 1 we will be doing a easter hunt… the kids and I dont do easter chocolate so this year is extra special we are getting our 4 yr old his very own digital camera so most of the day will be spent posing for pics by my budding photographer
My husband and my son and I are going to a small town just north of Perth on the coast. We are renting a 2 bdrooom shack with my brother and his family plus another couple and our friend and his 2 sons. We dont know where we are all going to sleep as there are 14 of us in total. We think the kids will just bunk down in the lounge or maybe pitch a tent outside..We will be fishing, swimming and 4WD driving on the beach and will be having a special easter egg hunt on Sunday for the kids (and the adults)..Awesome that we get an extra day for the Anzac public holiday too. Can’t wait for the easter break!

For Easter this year, we’re going to a national park with a lovely creek to swim in after the morning’s hike. This is a big deal for me because I am autistic and rarely get to go out.
Breakfast will be spent watching the sun rise and being thankful that although I have autism, I am alive and able to enjoy my favourite food – which is of course chocolate!
My partner who took on the responsibility of caring for me when we were just 16 is the most wonderful man on the planet in my eyes. He has been with me for 15 years now.

Rules are that you can only find your basket but if you find somone else’s you can re-hide it. If a basket is left unattended, you can rehide it. The game can last all day and make for some very frustrated players!!!

We have a BBQ while we’re there and the kids can swim and play to their hearts content. We will also be attending worship services at our local church, and of course, feasting on chocolate Easter eggs. We bring out an assortment of cute tea pots with a range of different teas (including some vintage ones which Nanna brings), a fondue pot and strawberries, warm hot cross buns in a wicker basket, homemade cupcakes topped with easter eggs and mini chicks displayed on a cupcake stand and Mum’s super rich chocolate cake.
If that’s not enough, we also melt easter eggs in suckaos from Max Brenner. It’s incredibly decadent!
The egg is just gorgeous! We will be having a ‘festival of family’ with people flying into Sydney from north and south, so lots of adventures for kids (think build-a-bear, beaches and the show) and adventures for adults (think Billy Kwong, yum cha, the archibalds and hopefully a few big sleep-ins): I can’t wait !
Each easter my family goes camping with our friends from all over NSW. We put on an easter egg hunt for the kids and it’s so much fun. Usually the adults go without eggs and bask in the childrens fun however if I won that spectacularly glamourous giant egg, there would be enough for all to go round!
I think I might drink a bottle of gin this Easter, unconventional but necessary being away with the Inlaws!
Wake me up,
I must be dreaming!
An Egg so large,
seeing is believing.
No don’t wake me,

All the chocolate and sugar,
goes straight to my head.

My son is being confirmed on Easter Sunday, which is a super special day for our family, so this would be a marvellous centrepiece to be able to share with our elatives who will be over to share the day with us!
Each Easter we go to the Easter show! Sounds a little ubiquitous, but its a nice family tradition, which is always enjoyed by all the children, and the adults as well!
Chocolate is a girl’s best friend.

Oh last day of the comp!
This Easter I will be spending time with family and trying out some nqn recipes.
Enjoy time with my beautiful family & friends and eat chocolate until my blue eyes turn brown!
unfortunately I will be catching up on all my uni work as I just got back from a work trip. so I wont be doing much fun stuff. so if i get a free moment the most fun thing would be if i could win this prize then invite all my family and friends over to share it with me for a quick break from study…!
We’re going to have the best Easter Hunt ever! 4 little girls, so very excited running around as cute as can be. Can’t wait!
I am going to be the Easter Bunny on Easter Morning!
I am going to easter hunt with the mature people at the nursing homes, they love the thrill of being remembered, scoring goodies & munching out after, we love to give them attention, watch their smiles & fighting over who could get moving fastest with their walking frame to the egg they have all spotted at once, lol
For the first time in 7years i’ll be seeing my sister,
That calls for an amazing Easter!
Nothing at all… Which is great! Just staying at home with the kids. I can not wait to see their faces easter morning… Especially if we won this!!!
We will be making a mess….
CRaft galore,
bonnets,baskets and more…
Chocolate eggs, cupcakes…
we will make!
I love to get only Ferrero for Easter! They are simply the best!
I dont want to be one of those barbaric humans creatures who bites the ears of chocolate bunnies. The easter bunny does not like people with such violent tendecies so i steer clear of all the chocolate bunnies . This ensures that the easter bunny is happy and so am i for he brings me lots ferrero chocolate. Happy easter all! xx

There are a million stories in this world . . . and then some!
Easter my family invited themselves over to our place for a bbq, luckily hubby doesnt mind
Dressing up as easter bunny. Hiding choc eggs in the garden for the kids to play easter egg hunt. Having a BBQ at the beach and playing beach cricket
It’s going to be a quite one this year but I’ll love watching DVDs and eating lots of chocolate.
We’re hiring a house in Berry,
Where I expect we’ll overindulge and be merry
We’re hoping for fine weather,
Our first extended family holiday altogether,
The kids will all play,
The adults can chat and relax yeah!
A hunt with the Golden Easter Egg as the prize,
Can you imagine the little one’s eyes!
I’m going to be spending time with my family and friends. Maybe have a giant easter egg hunt but let’s just wait
But mostly chocolate egg eating :3
Going camping with the family, church activities and….eating Eater Eggs!
We are going to share our Easter eggs. I promise not to eat all of them before Easter.
You know it can be quite funny; How the kids’ moods turn quite sunny….they can’t decide, whether in or outside, what to eat first from the Easter Bunny!
I’ll be catching up with family, relaxing and eating too much chocolate this Easter.
Easter is very special for me this year. My 3 year old grandson, Maeson, has moved here to Australia from Indonesia and we plan on having the best Easter ever. We are going to bbq at the beach and go to the park and the zoo. Meason’s cousins and Aunts and Uncles are coming to spend time with us and we all plan on having just a great time of it. We will make tome to say a prayer for Jesus as well. Happy Easter everybody.
Hopefully sharing this amazing prize with my family as living in Vic means Easter isn’t a holiday for weekend workers anymore so no time for much more than an over indulgent Easter dinner.
Despite all our kids now being teenagers we will still be having our Easter family and friends Egg Hunt! Look out kids the Nanna’s will have their running shoes on!
Making our own vegan easter eggs
Can’t wait!
My Easter Holidays will be intersting. My young sons want fishing rods, so I think we will be going fishing
My dad doesn’t eat red meat so when he goes away to visit friends every Easter, Mum and I gorge ourselves on a much meat as we can to make up for the rest of the year. And of course we gorge on chocolate too! (Although that isn’t just restricted to Easter). Can’t wait!
Well I hope to be ignoring the children and indulging in some ferrero chocolates (the children might be able to have one). That should take care of most of the holidays. I may have to start zumba after that.
Going to the yearly Good Friday Get Together. Will knock a few back on a sunny day, laugh a lot, eat a lot…
I’ll have my hands full hiding the eggs, … not from the kids but my puppy with the biggest ‘sniffer outer’ ever!
I spend Easter following the big bunny himselves clues around the house in Port Albert with the kids, my husband and his parents. He always leaves such ridiculous clues!!!! Would love to find this at the end of the search!
This is first Easter in the shire so if the weather is ok I will try to burn off SOME of my easter indulgences by walking on the beach and building sandcastles with my son.
We bought my son and daughter in law a smoker, so this Easter we will be having some smoked chicken, ham, turkey and fish on the table.
Making personalised easter eggs that I give out to family and friends. Will cook lots of grilled salmon and other seafood for easter lunch. And a healthy salad too. Will pray for peace all over the world.
we will be spending some time at my parents caravan, take the kids fishing, having walks on the beach, fish and chips in the park and bonfires at night
I’m spending it with my family and my 91 year old grandmother who is coming up to visit as well! She’s on a walking frame and quite wobbly – but she’ll give the kids a run for their money finding those eggs!
Easter, I could be fishing,
Planting or wishing,
I was demolishing the Ferrero prize,
With help from husband, because I’m such a kind wife.
we are goin to play paint ball with the kids from around the neighbourhood
Our street Christmas party always gets washed out so we thought we’d try for an Easter one… we might as well get washed out twice in one year lol. Imagine the kids… big and little, if they had this amazing Ferrero Golden Egg to share!
Easter 2011 will be a combination of foodfest, gymfest & lazefest for me! I will lack nothing with this super combo : )
Happy Easter to you all and may the Easter bunny visit you with excess baggage! x
Sadly, I cannot cook and I am planning on learning from Nigella via this website. My husband is impressed… ha!
The Ferrerro Golden Egg looks very decadent and delicious. Its a good incentive to commence my healthy cooking!
Yum. I have been very good. We deserve it!! Happy Easter everyone
I think I might be rescuing my husband from the lagoon this easter because he is determined to learn how to fish and has even gone so far as to buy a fishing rod!
Ohhh!!! See I am chocolate depraved… I am planning on learning to cook from Not Quite Nigella!!!!!
Help my brain . . .
haha
For easter in my household – I am getting carob for my kitty to enjoy, Sugarfree chocolate for my Mother in law to enjoy and lots of nommy chocolate for myself and husband.
With a whopping 5 days off – I think I might have a few Nigella moments in the kitchen and whip up a few chocolate treats…
For the first time ever we are taking our kids to the Hunter Valley Gardens to expereince the biggest Easter Egg Hunt ever. Family times and lots of adevntures awaits.
My children are very EGGcited to be going to the Reptile Park to see all the animals including the new animal babies section.
We’re going to swim every day – I can’t wait!
It’s a little sad really, I have so much housework and gardening to get done that Easter is going to be all about working…
My Mum will be helping, she’ll mow my lawns for me, help me trim the edges, do some weeding. Of course I’ll have to try to find something special (Ferrero of course) to thank her!
But, on the up side, we’ll intersperse our furious work with visiting a friend who has just returned from an overseas trip…
Taking a day trip up to Toodyay (simply to purchase some pottery works for the garden) with another friend…
And BBQ lunches and dinners…
In our usual family tradition we will be packing our bags for a trip to the Royal Easter Show.
No matter how many times I’ve been I am still excited to go!
We are going to have a big family gathering as my husband’s parents are arriving from overseas. My kids and their cousins have lots of plans, not sure what they have planned, but I am ready for a long relaxing weekend …
decorate some eggs with the kids and have an old fashioned egg and spoon race in the backyard (especially now hubbys made the effort to mow the lawn! lol)
NOTHING – How often to do we really get a chance to STOP our hectic life & do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING?
We have 3 young boys under 5 between our family. We’re going fishing on SA’s Yorke Peninsula…. although if we have luck and catch some fish, I’ll still be eating chocolate on sunday for breakfast!
The whole family will be going to the movies and lunch together.
The man of my dreams is flying in to whisk me away on our life’s new journey of eternal love .
I’m not from Australia but Ill definetly be there on Easter as I’m coming to Perth to be with the love of my life. I met her online almost 2 yrs ago and we’ve conversed everyday since. She came to the U.S. a few months ago and now it’s my turn to come there to meet her daughter and the family and to see where we’ll be living, since I’m moving there in June !
Happy Easter to all of you
Celebrate my dad’s birthday!
It lands right on Anzac Day, but we always celebrate it during the easter long weekend. He does so little for himself that it is our chance to spoil him! My neice has already planned a fun surprise with us for him. It’s going to be special. I’m excited!
I am going to the National Folk Festival! I’ve been going every year since I was born and I love it more and more every year. There’s so many types of dancing, wonderful concerts, delicious food. And on top of that, there’s all the yummy hot cross buns and chocolate eggs from Easter! I can’t think of a better way to spend my four days over Easter.
I will be taking a few afternoon naps this easter, considering my inlaws are camping as well thats baby sitters on tap!
Oh lord, now I need chocolate!
I’m getting out of town and heading camping at Bent’s Basin with just me and my other half.
Here’s hoping it doesn’t rain the whoel time, tho!
I am going to go for a run and do a boxing workout to counter act all the gin, prawns and chocolate I will be enjoying!
Since the comments are still open I may as well tell you that we finally worked out our plans for Easter Sunday. *lol*
We’re doing an egghunt in the morning at home and then putting on new clothes (I’ve never figured out why I buy new dresses and shirts for Easter, but I do) and then church. After church we’re feasting on hot cross buns before going to a local event with live music and face painting and… well, more chocolate. We’ll be home around 2pm for a rest before the kids get sent to play outside and I start the roast. If I got good eggs for easter it’s roast lamb… otherwise I’ll be looking at a certain rabbit and a very sharp knife. *lol*
Hope you have a great Easter!
This easter will be spent eating waaaay too much chocolate and hot cross buns (like every easter)… But with the addition of a new arrival to the family, my little nieces first easter

Our family always goes on a road trip, camping adventure. We have been doing this for 11 years now. We head to the shine coast and stay with our extend family, egg hunts, beach, Easter lunch and the best part is the kids catch up with beloved nanny and poppy.
Traditionally I take my family to see a film at the cinema over Easter – we have a great time bonding having to agree on something suitable for all tastes!
Getting our dirty in the kitchen making Easter treats is a tradition that cant be beat!
bushwalking to wear off all that chocolate indulging
we are getting married in Las Vegas this Eater and I want to take this and use a my wedding cake as it’s the only thing we haven’t been able to take with us!!! It would be so cute and how funky!!
