As a devout Handbag (and shoe and hat) addict, I know that there really is nowhere comfortable to put a large bag in a restaurant. A clutch can sit on a table but a large bag has no place. I know exactly how it hurts to put your precious bag on a restaurant floor where it risks being trodden on and I also know how uncomfortable it is to put it in your lap or behind you while you eat and how you can never relax like that.

My overweight Stam-it worked!

So the clever people at Handbag Butler have come to the rescue with a stylish solution that sits on the side of the table. It’s also tiny and fits in the cutest mini purse and can carry up to 5 kilos or 11 pounds. My beloved Marc Jacobs Stam was the ultimate test weighing in at an obese 2 kgs (the chain weighs as much as the bag).

All you need to tell me your dream bag (mine happens to be the Hermes Blue Jean Birkin but at $12,000 a pop, it remains a dream for now!). Add your entry via a comment to this story. You can enter once daily as long as your answer is different.

My fave and forever unattainable bag is the Henk suitcase which weighs a mere 25g. So much more weight for shopping when you are travelling. Problem is that it is 23,000 Euro. Frankly, if I could afford the bag I’d be travelling first class and could afford excess luggage on my increased first class luggage allowance. A girl can dream though!

wow that’s such a cool idea and i don’t even have a hand bag but could use it for my backpack my favourite dream ‘bag’ is my Coles reusable green environmental bag (which actually isn’t recyclable) for my shopping which is still hip and happening and can fit lots of shopping goodies.

My dream bag isn’t on the market – it is big enough to take all the things that I need to carry and light enough so that I don’t know that I am carrying it BUT most importantly I can find what I am looking for in it as soon as I look rather than having to put it down and take everything out of it to find the thing that I have only just dropped into it!

I’ve seen handbag holder things before but the ones I’ve seen are just plain metal – nowhere near as stylish as the Handbag Butler

I love handbags as well but sadly my ultimate dream handbag – a Hermès Kelly in black leather – is way too far out of my price range!

Hmmm…that’s a tough one. I do like the Louis Vuitton Monogram Denim ‘Slightly Denim’ in Black…that’d be nice. My bag has to have lots of room for my junk, so I think this one would do fine! LOL I’ve always wanted to go in the LV store here in Sydney…but I’m too scared that I won’t be dressed right, and they won’t let me in!

My ideal bag would be one that is magically able to turn in to a “man” bag when it got too heavy. This would mean that when I asked my boyfriend to carry it, he could not use the excuse of being uncomfortable carrying a “girl’s handbag” and it would make me feel less guilty about asking. The bag would also have the ability to find its own secure spot when I’m out at night so I can venture onto the dance floor and not have my moves restricted by my bag!

A black Chanel quilted 2.55 handbag to replace the one I had that got stolen by a crook with taste, while I was staying with friends in Brisbane, 2 years ago. Little did I know that their ‘hood had turned into a ghetto, and my baby disappeared !

But I do have a new crush – an orange Hermes Birkin bag that Sandra Bullock was wearing in a flick called ‘The Proposal’, best darn thing about that movie besides Ryan Reynolds (as good an an IT bag – dunno….)

I think these handbag holders are a fabulous idea and was tempted to get one but was suspicious of whether they could really hold the weight of a heavy handbag. Can you imagine if you ended up pulling the table down from hanging your bag on the side?! Well, maybe now I can win one and try it out!

My dream bag will be a timeless Chanel. Each time it is within my grasp, my head gets the better of me and reminds me of all the other more practical things I could do with the money!

My handbag is the ones I look at every week at David Jones (Adelaide), of course it’s in the glass cabinet. I am not particular on which style, as they are all beautiful and would be over joyed just to have any.
