I used to be able to wear heels every day to work. I used to scale ladders in them (I used to work in a shoe shop) and tread the treacherous city pavement in them without any problems. But now heels are reserved for special occasions only and day to day during Winter I’ll wear boots or ballet flats and in Summer they’ll be thongs (the sandals people, not the g strings my American readers who might be muttering “too much information” right about now ).

I know it’s hardly thong weather on this particular weekend with this sudden cold snap but think of your tootsies come a couple of week’s time. The lovely people at Pininho sent me some of their thong decorations and some to give to NQN readers! These are cute little decorations that you stick on your thongs and they come in some rather cute patterns. Of course I went for the strawberry (hey how about a macaron or cupcake Pininho guys? ) and a Gold Skull (very Alexander McQueen and Halloween).

So all you have to do is check out the website and tell me which two designs you like the best. Choose carefully as they could be yours! Add your entry via a comment to this story. You can enter once daily as long as your answer is different. This competition is open to Australian residents only.

They are all gr8, not sure about the ’skull and crossbones’ though LOL My favourites are the ‘Frangipani’ & the ‘Munch Red Bug’
My house has many decorations of Frangipanis, when my grandson is out shopping with his mum, if he spots a Frangipani in any form, he tries to talk his Mum into getting it for ‘Grandma’ ’cause it’s Grammas favourite!

I like frangipanis so much that my winter wedding had a frangipani theme (unfortunately we had to use artificial ones)! So the frangipani one would be a cool reminder of that! The apple one is also cute.

Nothing worse than squashed tootsies. I certainly remember coming home from work and walking up my street carrying my super high heels. Why do we do this to ourselves.

Comfy thongs is the way to go for summer (although) not for work.

i am SO looking forward to the days of havaianas! i’m on my feet ALL day long, there’s no sitting, not even a chair at my work. high heels would kill me, so i wear ballet shoes and pretend that i have the feet of a wood nymph. or something.

i’m thinking now that i need some yellow havaianas. i’d decorate mine with the little black cat and the strawberries.

Me too! I used to be able to be on my feet all day in heels, now it’s sensible flats all the way. Luckily, where I work now I am allowed to wear my lovely flip flops all day. Bliss!

I love the ghost as it reminds me of pac man. That or the ladybug, who can forget the thrill as a kid of finding a ladybug in an unlikely place (like inside the car) and returning it back to bushes where it belongs.
