Hello lovelies! We’ve come to our final competition for the Twelve Days of Christmas Giveaways (which ended up being thirteen giveaways) and it’s a doozy! Our last competition features a huge thirteen products from the Bitton Gourmet range plus their new cookbook!

I first encountered Bitton Gourmet when we looking for places to brunch with my friend Gina. We had lunch there and fell in love with the poached eggs served with Black Forest ham, spinach, potato roesti and Hollandaise sauce. So much so that we scheduled another brunch there shortly afterwards to enlighten third friend Teena as to this deliciousness.

What do you think this is? Two cappuccinos? No, it’s mushroom and vanilla cappuccino soup!
To celebrate the release of the new cookbook and their range, Bitton Gourmet are giving away a copy of the cookbook (and yes there’s a version of the above dish with smoked salmon in the cookbook) and thirteen products to one lucky Not Quite Nigella reader! The products are:

David Bitton Cafe Cookbook
Asian dressing
Rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil (how fabulous does this sound?)
Lemon dressing
Chilli Oil
Bitton Dressing
Moroccan Spice
Chilli garlic masala
Strawberry and vanilla jam
Orange jelly
Monkey nut chutney
Coriander pesto
Mango and ginger nut jam
Black Olive Tapenade
All worth $170!
My favourite products (hehe how fun is it taste testing these?) were the Bitton thick and creamy dressing flavoured with garlic, the spicy hot chilli garlic masala, the monkey nut chutney (who could resist that name too?) and the jams!
For a chance to win this treasure trove of gourmet goodies all you have to do is tell me which product from the above tickles your fancy and why! Simply add your answer as a comment to the story. The competition ends at Midnight AEST 29th January, 2011. You can enter this competition once daily. Delivery is within Australia only.
***The winner is: Korik L. of Vic!***
Best of luck!
Lots of love,
Lorraine

The orange Jelly sounds delicious, try it on home made scones!
Love everything in the hamper! And I wish I could try the cappuccino mushroom soup!
They all sound good but the strawberry and vanilla sounds pretty good to me maybe because it’s breakfast time and it sounds good right now on some toast.
That strawberry and vanilla jam sounds amazing and PERFECT for thumbprint cookies!
The Monkey Nut Chutney!
My husband loves Monkeygland sauce (a Steers concoction from South Africa) and he loves chutney. The thought of there being a Monkey something chutney tickles me!
I won’t join the contest because sadly I can’t. I don’t live in Australia, but reading NQN makes me want to move ASAP!
Monkey nut chutney! My standard reply to “What’s for dinner?” is “Elephants.” Being able to say “Monkey nuts” and tell the truth would be great fun.
Monkey Nut Chutney caused an irrational bout of laughter on our end. To stop the foolishness this would be my first pick.
Moroccan food is my new favourite so I’ll have to say the Moroccan Spice! I love that it can be used to spice up a salad dressing or give an intense flavour to a marinade – product versatility is very important in my kitchen!!
Speaking of Moroccan, you should try the Moroccan Soup Bar (North Fitzroy) next time you are in Melbourne – absolutely DELICIOUS.
Thanks for the great comp Lorraine.
Monkey Nut Chutney. Although I have no idea what this is, life is about trying new things and some of this on a steak sandwich might just become my newest addiction
oooh, the Rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil. Sounds a bit different!
Mango and ginger nut jam. How could I go past such a wonderful fruit, loving both mangoes, ginger and nuts like I do. Am I the only one to eat the skin of mangoes, family think I”m crazy, but why waste so much goodness. I nearly always need something under my chin to absorb the bits that run down… Love it.
I”ve just made the no knead bread, so wonderfully warm bread with mango and ginger nut jam for breakfast, sure is “my cup of tea” as they say.
Okay. The sight of that quail has set my tummy to growl.
And that contest of goodies, oh
man. Why are these contests only
for Australians? But, I’m with
Keppers about Monkey Nut Chutney.
I’d love to try the mango and ginger nut jam, it sounds so tasty and with a bit of zing from the ginger would be lovely on crunchy toast.
I would like to try the asian dressing as I am sure it would be perfectly balanced, something which I find hard to do.
Strawberry and vanilla jam sounds delicious, two of my favourite flavours…I can only imagine the taste delight on freshly baked scones….
I lovelovelove the rosemary and thyme vanilla oil….I saw it in the shop and always regretted not snapping it up!it looks amazing and is such a nice subtle way to make roast vegies even tastier
Absolutely HATE to be unoriginal, but MONKEY NUT CHUTNEY has to take premier place – I love to try new and unorthodox items and this just has to take the cake. Of course, Bitton Dressing would be fascinating to taste too – with this kind of talent shown, It would surely taste fantabulous! (perhaps I have created a word?)
without doubt the Rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil…all good on their own – would Loooove to try in an oil altogether…divine
The strawberry and vanilla jam sounds just perfect, would love to try some on brioche which I’m attempting to make for the first time today!
Monkey nut sauce tickles my fancy……….about as much as Monkey gland sauce, when I first heard of it in South Africa!
the strawberry and vanilla jam is wonderful with crepes…
Mango and ginger nut chutney has me salivating!
Coriander pesto. I have tried several commercial versions, tried to create my own recipe, all to little avail.
Would go well with left over fat lamb of the neighbours, cold on Boxing day.
sign me up for the monkey nut chutney. It would be the perfect accompanyment to all the leftover ham and turkey that is filling my fridge right now! merry christmas
I want Monkey Nut Chutney on my toast, home made pies, in pasta, cous cous, focccias, curries and I’m going to creaste a dessert!
Monkey nut chutney! the name is awesome, will be so much fun when people ask, “what’s this?” and u answer Monkey nut chutney! xD
asides from humour, i think the Monkey nut chutney will be food to use on assorted christmas foods, hot or cold or even eaten with toast. yes im weird.
the chilli garlic marsala, it sounds intriguing. i love spicy foods
Coriander Pesto would tickle my fancy as it’s so simple to create an easy pasta salad or pinwheels…yummy
Yum! I spy Bitton garlic bread in that pic – it has to be the best garlic bread I have ever eaten!
Everyone should try his milk and coconut jam – heavenly.
The David Bitton Cafe Cookbook for me!
Without good guidance, I’d never get the other ingredients quite right!
The monkey nut chutney sounds unusual and I would like to try this on our Christmas ham.
I sorta feel sorry for the monkeys though. (lol)
Great give away Lorraine- the quail looks awesome.
The chilli oil for sure it is a staple in our house!!!
Strawberry and vanilla jam – they would be so good on pancakes and also on icecream. Mmmmmm I can just taste it now.
Monkey nut chutney! I love chutney and monkey nut sounds very interesting.
I am with you, Lorraine; the Rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil sounds wonderful! I am lucky enough to have a retired neighbour who fishes almost every day, and this would be a divine pairing with the fresh snapper fillets he is kind enough to occassionaly give me! Nom Nom Nom
Mmmm I love the Bitton Strawberry and Vanilla jam. It’s perfect on scones or to sandwich a sponge cake together. Great giveaway!
Mango & ginger nut jam gets my vote. Yum!
Mango and ginger nut jam for me please on a scone with a dollop of cream! Mmm mmm…tropical, delicious and all Aussie !!
Jeez, I’d like to have a go at the Money Nut Chutney. I just hope no monkeys were harmed in the process!
Monkey. Nut. Chutney. Enough said!
Monkey nut chutney tickles my fancy it would surely send me ape.
I have to say the Chili Garlic Marsala, I’m not even sure what it is…a sauce? a relish? added before, during or after cooking? In my house it’d prob be all 3 but thats because I love it hot and spicy!
Fingers crossed xxxx
Oooh, that Rosemary thyme vanilla oil sounds amazing. It would be awesome with some seared salmon or ocean trout. Or maybe drizzled on a wobbly garlic custard. Yumm…
Strawberry and vanilla jam on on cinnamon toast is something that would wake you up and get out of bed on New years day after a night of laughter, fireworks, dancing and kissing at the stroke of midnight!
I would love the orange jelly so i could make some jaffa cakes for my homesick English friend.
strawberry and vanilla jam sounds like a beautiful sweet delight, but I bet you could also use it to enhance the flavour of savoury dishes as well, would love to be able to try it out and see.
Oh what to choose – the whole range tickles my fancy but I was first drawn to the Monkey Nut Chutney and the Mango & Ginger Jam. Now how do I choose between those two? I had to do eeny meeny miny moe and the Mango & Ginger Jam won.
Thanks for another great giveaway Lorraine I have my fingers and toes crossed!
Monkey Nut Chutney is my pick. Monkey Nuts is what Mum and her siblings call Pine Nuts so it makes me think lovely warm family thoughts. (Perfect for this time of year with a massive invasion of relatives about to engulf and overwhelm!)
I am such a sucker for condiments
Definitely want the Monkey Nut Chutney the most, and purely because of the name
The mango and ginger nut jam tickles my fancy. Initially I thought mango and ginger – what a lovely combination but I am puzzled as to what ginger nut may mean when presented in the form of jam.
I think the cookbook, because without this gourmet bible, I wouldn’t be able to bring out the best of the products. What a yummy Christmas it would be!
The chilli garlic masala – you can never have too many chilli sauces in the house!
Wow, it ALL sounds fabulous. I love the fact that you find so many interestings things that I otherwise wouldn’t know of! Would love to try the Rosemary, Thyme and Vanilla Oil!!!
I would love to try the strawberry and vanilla jam. I tried to make something similar just last week and the pot is still soaking, trying to get the burned jam off the bottom. I would love to know how much of the vanilla flavour comes through.
My little monkey and I would go absolutely nuts over the Monkey Nut Chutney!
I can’t go past the monkey nut chutney. Such a cute name!
its a hard choice but I’d choose the Strawberry and vanilla jam, mainly because I adore that wonderful flavour of strawberry and added to that my favourite of vanilla….. i can imagine it on warm homemade scones with clotted cream…. in a sponge roll, on toast, and well, i admit it, straight of the jar on a spoon!…. wouldn’t everyone love that?
Strawberry and vanilla jam ‘oh my’,
Spread it on a scone or toast, its flavour I cannot deny,
Fills my home with a pleasant aroma,
No required trip to a Pasticceria in Roma.
Oh, the mango and ginger nut jam definitely tickles my fancy – I love the Asian/tropical flavours of mango and ginger, and together, they would be sublime.
The chilli oil…I need to spice up my life!
The Mango and Ginger Nut Jam is the one that tickles me,
Sweet as well as zesty and versatile I see.
I’d try experimenting with using it in a number of ways,
As a condiment ,a filling for tarts or perhaps a succulent ham glaze!
Yum they all sound delicious – but I would have to say I am a bit of a vanilla fiend so the Strawberry and vanilla jam definitely takes the cake. But then again….. I am a savoury tooth and the Black Olive Tapenade would be fabulous with a cheese platter over the Xmas break. Very hard to choose a favourite yes to them all thanks Lorraine.
I will say the Coriander pesto because I am a pesto nut (get it – haha!) and i haven’t yet tried a coriander one.
The Mango and Ginger Nut Jam sounds interesting, instead of doing a Indian mango chicken, how abt a Mango and ginger Nut roast chicken?
Has to be the monkey nut chutney- could have such a laugh with my husband with that one!
Everything! But esp the moroccan spice…great with chicken…bbq or oven yum
it would have to be the strawberry and vanilla jam. Have been making heaps of jam here in the far south coast but not thought to add vanilla to the strawberry batch. Yum on homemade sour cream scones.
Going through both lemon and olive ‘moments’ right now, so the lemon dressing and the black olive tapenade sound marvellous.
Coriander pesto – sounds different and would be tasty in a lovely pasta…… bring it on
Monkey Nut Chutney. I love the name!
the mango and ginger nut jam is talking to me! i can’t get enough of jams at the moment
Ooh that chilling garlic masala sounds fantastic! I think that would spice up just about anything.
Coriander pesto, mmmmmmmmm.
Strawberry and vanilla jam for me- just because just reading the name made my mouth start to water!
Moroccan Spice … rub it on some atlantic salmon and throw it on the BBQ with glass of wine….summer!!!
Whilst they all sound fabulous, I’m thinking the Orange Jelly would be something to try. I’m *assuming* it’s going to be similar texture to jam as it’s in a jar, and my mind is going a bit [monkey]nuts thinking of choc chip scones with orange jelly, or vanilla scones with orange jelly and chocolate cream, or possibly a trifle incorporating chocolate sponge and orange jelly (and other goodies), or choc jam drops with an orange jelly centre…oh my mind is racing with possibilities!
My favourite sounding spice mix one would be the Chili Garlic Marsala. I could imagine a million things to do with this.
I would love the recipe book for the smoked salmon dish, YUMMY!
One of my saddest moments was moving away from Erskineville from where I was walking distance to Bitton, and I enjoyed many great times with amazing meals and fabulous friends. To be able to recreate those would be heaven! I do love their jams!!! But I need to make that Mushroom cappucino! Looks amazing.
Monkey nut chutney please we will all go ape with this one-tarzan and Jayne
chilli oil!
my family is big on chilli, my mum puts chilli in almost everything so both my father and I have adapted and began to love it :_)
A bit of Bitton in Bicton
Too bad I cannot join this competition…:(, the products look great! Good luck to all contestants
.
I like the sound of the mango and giner nut jam. I love mangoes and I love ginger so I’m sure it will taste lovely.
I love everything in the Bitton range, but what I really can’t survive without having in the cupboard is the chilli oil. It sounds simple, but it is totally amazing.
I would like to try rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil. It sounds delicious!
they all sound brilliant but I think it would be the corriander pesto for me ….I am a pesto fiend and always looking for different types to try
Coriander pesto – it would be fantastic with some prawns on linguine.
Mango and ginger nut jam – it sounds interesting. Not sure what it would go well with, but I think it would be nice between layers of sponge cake.
The chili and garlic masala would be a hit in my home. I could use it in just about every savory dish I create. All the jars sound very scrummy. Jane
Orange jelly,
smells so lovely,
with a duck or a chook,
a secret ingredient that makes everything tastes good.
Hi lorraine,
just for fun : I would vote for the tapenade !!
It snows like hell in Paris today !!pierre
Probably the bitton dressing – is it the name? The thick creamy description? The fact that it’s different to everything we have and change is great!!!
Again, I can’t enter this but that mushroom and cappuccino soup sounds amazing!
I must admit I’ve never tried the Bitton range so with that said, I’m the most intrigued with the “Bitton dressing”. Reason being I’m more or less able to imagine what the other flavours would taste like but not this one! I’d think it tastes French but is suitably fitting of the Bitton range….nope that doesn’t really help me lol…the only way to find out is actually tasting it myself
The Monkey Nut Chutney got my attention alright, as did the mushroom vanilla cappuccino soup! WOW… but Rosemary, Thyme & Vanilla Oil makes my heart sing. Reminds me of a S & G song …Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme. What a GREAT range of products. Just shows how interesting the books going to be.
You do make me wish I lived in Australia every time you issue these wonderful giveaways… I do love the idea of the quail recipe… how can you not fall for anything flamed???
Oh what a selection but must say the Monkey nut chutney sounds a winner! Cheers
)
While they all sound delightful – it would be the chilli oil that would not last too long in our house….YUMMO!
Wow, what amazing products. Strawberry and vanilla jam sounds great to me, but intrigued about the monkeynut chutney as I remember monkeynuts from my childhood
i would have to say the coriander pesto, because the one and only time my fiance cooked for me he made coriander pesto! and it was very nice indeed
Does it ever get better than strawberry and vanilla jam. I can almost see myself tasting it
chilli garlic marsala because is has two of my favourites in one and i wont tire of using it
mango and ginger nut jam….for making some wonderful trifle me thinks – layers of jam, fresh mangos, mascapone custard, sponge fingers soaked in ginger wine, ginger nut crumbs toasted in butter, lashing of cream and finished with ligtly toasted almond flakes. Yum!
The rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil inspires me. All those wonderful aromas in one oil! I’m off to try and create my own version.
Monkey Nut Chutney tickles my fancy as I can’t even think what it might contain from the name !
Mango and ginger nut jam… Sounds very summery!
I’d love the book so I can have a go at making lots of goodies for friends and family over the holidays
Jenni
The jams sound great (especially the mango and gingernut!), but I’d love to try making a dish with the masala and moroccan spices.
Would love to try the coriander pesto! Mmmm, with a drizzle of the chilli oil over fresh linguini! Yummo!
Thanks to You Lorraine I discovered the Bitton Cafe as well we spent mothers day with our families there in 2010. It was one of the first blogs I ever read of yours and now I have discovered so many great foodie destinations and recipes due to you. When we visited there I bought the monkey nut chutney and the Moroccan Spice and both have become staples in the cupboard… Love all their products but favourite is the Moroccan Spice makes wicked Tagine’s and great rubs for the BBQ.
Merry Xmas Lorraine and thanks for all your great give aways.
Love Rozzie Kaye
Coriander pesto – because I love them both!
Hi,
I would love to try the Coriander pesto I would use it in a stirfry with chicken, chilli and eggplant, so so good!
Oh how fabulous, I love Bitton!
I’d love to try the Chilli garlic masala – sounds absolutely delish and just the ticket for the heat!
Just reading the list got my taste buds going
but the Chilli garlic masala sounds divine! Hot and tasty with a great mix of flavours…I want some right now!
Of course I love ALL of them but in particular the Lemon Dressing. So yummy. Plus the Asian Dressing is lovely on a steamed Salmon steak with Bok Choy. Nom nom nom!!!
I love the sound of the chilli oil. I have tried making it a couple of times and it never works out right… Either too hot or tastes just like oil!
The black olive tapenade. I had a delicious sandwich last week with rocket, felafel and tapenade. Not a combo I’d ever think of myself but it was so good!
The strawberry and vanilla jam sounds like the perfect marriage to some home baked brioche! Yum!
Coriander my favourite herb one Jar this pesto will simply not do- it,s a good addiction….really!
Strawberry and Vanilla jam – sounds devine. It would be doubly delicious on crepes with maybe a drizzle of cream! Decadent, I know but it’s December afterall
Thanks for the competition, Lorraine.
Rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil – can’t go past anything with rosemary in it. I just love it and this sounds intriguing!
Moroccan Spice – because it’s the closest thing I’ll get to a holiday in a while!
The Coriander pesto – I am a pesto nut (get it – haha!) and i haven’t yet tried a coriander one.
Rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil – OMG! My 2 favourite herbs with vanilla, oh my.
If I have to pick one it would have to be mango and ginger nut jam. I absolutely love mango and never had mango jam before. And the mango and ginger combination, brilliant!
Rosemary Thyme and Vanilla oil sounds divine. Although I am intrigued by Monkey Nut Chutney! You get to sponsor some great giveaways – with the added bonus of taste testing rights!
Merde! How could I go past the Monkey nut chutney – the name alone is amazing!
It’s not fair choosing just one! Moroccan spice rubbed on butterflied lamb leg with a good yoghurt is AMAZING!!! – However waking up to buttery toast with Strawberry and Vanilla jam tops that….just!
The strawberry and Vanilla Jam is amazing on fresh pikelets and scones, it’s the right combination of sweet and fruity.
I would love to try the Monkey nut chutney as my daughters nickname is cheeky monkey and anything monkey related goes down a treat in our house!! Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!!
Monkey Nut Chutney is the BUSINESS…. Peanuts are amazing. Gotta get my hands of some of this.
Chili garlic Masala would be my choice to liven up a chicken stir fry.
Mango and ginger nut jam as it sounds sweet and spicy!
I just can’t help myself whenever I come across an olive tapenade – I have to try it! Ever since the wonderful Darling Mills Farm stopped selling theirs at farmers markets I have been trying to find one as good. Given the obvious appreciation for quality ingredients, Bitton’s black olive tapenade is a must taste for me!
The asian dressing sounds nice!
What lovely products, Lorraine! And the mushroom and cappuccino soup is adorable!
Rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil (how fabulous does this sound?)
YES IT CETAINLY DOES…
Coriander Pesto sounds interesting and fun
The chilli garlic marsala sounds divine, as you know it will taste like nothing you would be able to create yourself!
rosemary thyme and vanilla oil, is sounds good for salad dressings and drizzling over roast potatoes
The Mango and Ginger Nut Jam sounds like it would be very very tasty on fresh Sunday bread.
I agree with the comments – how can one go past the entertainment value of saying “monkey nut chutney”? I would love to score the chilli oil though – I’d be drizzling them over pastas and salads over summer (perhaps an interesting kick to have with mushroom cappuccino too!)
It so has to be the Black Olive Tapenade for me…..I have the hugest foodie-crush on olives at the moment and I want them in everything. This would be so delectable!
The Mango & Ginger Nut Jam!
I love jams, especially jams that aren’t your usual berry varieties. I love to cook preserves, but my current kitchen doesn’t have the storage room for lots of bottles of conserves.
Also, I love mango, I love ginger, so what’s there not to like! Would be amazing on fresh scones I think! Or crepes!
That strawberry and vanilla jam is tickling my fancy – it could induce me to make doughnuts from scratch for the first time, just to stuff them with that jam!
oh my what in the world is monkey nut chutney? it’d have to be that!
Rosemary,Thyme and vanilla oil- I have not heard of that combo before and would not have thought of that myself, am very intrigued to try it and how to cook with it
I’m racing back to the kitchen with a hearty appetite and a strong desire to clean up the place and start again. Thankyou.
Everything everything and everything. All the things sound so refreshing and delicious that i would feel really lucky if i win.
Well, I’d like to try that Monkey Nut Chutney. I don’t know what it is and am very curious.
The Bitton dressing, seeing as it’s salad season!
the orange jelly sounds divine
Chilli garlic marsala would explode in the mouth – superb! The chilli would give some bite, while the garlic would add aroma and flavour. Finally, the marsala would provide a rich, full bodied taste.
Hi everyone,
Mango & Ginger, Nut Jam.
Now I would really fancy that.
YUM YUM.
Season’s Greeting One and ALL.
I’d love to try Bitton’s coriander pesto. My grandma used to bake fish in corainder sauce- I never got the recipe off her but it sounds like this might be close! Wow, I’d completely forgotten about that. It’s the tastiest dish!
I’m addicted to chutneys and relishes. Monkey Nut Chutney – I have no idea what that is but I can’t wait to try it.
Coriander Pesto! Sounds fantastic…I’d like to try it with a shrimp orzo and toss in some sun dried tomatoes. Yum!
Monkey Nut Chutney, love chutneys, so many uses, this sounds fabulous
My favourite is Chilli garlic masala because everything just tastes better with garlic and chilli.
Morrocan Spice sounds so nice
Food from the east to bring out the beast
I’d also love to try the Asian dressing. I can never quite get the flavour balance right in the stir fry sauces I put together- and I’d burying it in my cupboard so my Chinese friends will never know and never laugh at me for having something called ‘Asian dressing’.
Berry lushness from the wonderful Strawberry and Vanilla Jam – heated and served over fresh berries; in a puff pastry sandwich with whipped cream or the classic combo of scones with jam and cream! Yum.
I like the Rosemary, Thyme and Vanilla oil… because it proves that vanilla goes with EVERYTHING
Chilli garlic marsala- I can taste it now…yum!
I have to say the David Bitton Cafe Cookbook, so then I can recreate all those lovely recipes!

Not only does Black Olive tapenade tickle my fancy, it also tickles my tastebuds.
The monkey nut chutney sounds interesting and something I’d use with cheese and crackers.
it would have to be the mango and ginger nut jam. what a great combo. not only would it be good with some nice toasted sourdough or maybe just on crackers with a nice cheese but as a maranade it would be beautiful espically on a nice piece of crispy pork belly.
so many ideas id love to try it with.
I’m excited to try the orange jelly, I think it’d make a great glaze for roast hams or even a lamb roast mixed with red wine and rosemary.. or about 100 other things that are running through my head!
Bitton dressing? This would seem to imply there was some ‘undressing’ prior and that idea tickles my fancy. Thick, creamy, with garlic … yum!
Monkey Nut Chutney! How delightful. As long as there aren’t any actual monkey’s nuts in there, this is the one for me!
Each one makes my mouth water, I can’t seem to pick just one. Goodness knows how I would go if I won them. I wouldn’t know which one to try first!
Mango and gingernut jam on thickly sliced sourdough bread for breakfast, cannot wait to try it!!
Having very adventurous tastes, dad sees nature documentaries as a moving menu rather than a plea for conservation. He’d go “ape” if I were to present him with Monkey Nut Chutney – and no animals would be harmed in the process.
The Strawberry and Vanilla Jam sounds perfect for my pancakes in the morning. making me hungry just thinking about it.
My vote goes to the Rosemary, thyme and vanilla Oil. Sounds just lovely …
I would love the coriander pesto because I am a pesto nut!
We used to call nuts from the stone pine ‘monkey nuts’, so I assume the Monkey Nut Chutney is pine nut chutney and that sounds interesting and yummy!
chilli garlic marsala it tickles my fancy and my tastebuds
The strawberry and vanilla jam sounds amazing! I’d love to use it in a Victoria Sponge cake… absolutely divine!
Monkey nut chutney
Now that sounds like something totally different I’d like to try
rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil…. i love finding a combination that i would never have thought of myself!!
Monkey Nut Chutney takes my fancy! How much more interesting can a Peanut sound? Perhaps Monkey Nut Brittle or Monkey Nut Butter? Or how about a Monkey Nut and Honey Sandwich? I’m sure I could get my kids to eat Monkey Nuts without too much trouble. I can only dream at what ingredients David has used to create his Monkey Nut Chutney – a delicious sounding name, if ever there was one!
The coriander pesto tickles my fancy because I am a pesto nut!
Chilli oil
I think I could have some fun with that, not everyone in my house likes things quite as hot as I do.
*evil chuckle*
Oh I would definitely love to win all of these! I have been to the cafe before, as I used to live right near there. The cookbook would be my pick, as I am a cook book fiend!
The Bitton dressing – your description of it made my mouth water for some.
The coriander pesto sounds great and tickles my fancy – i love coriander and i love pesto!
Id love to try the monkey nut chutney cos it sounds delunky!
Coriander pesto – because I am a pesto nut (get it – haha!) and i haven’t yet tried a coriander one.
Scrumdidlyumcious!
Because I love ginger in anything, I think I would enjoy Mango and ginger nut jam on toast in the mornings with my first coffee of the day
Being a devout worshipper of all flavours robust and highly spiced I am definitely intrigued by Chilli Garlic Masala. Very exotic
Because I am a pesto nut I would love the coriander pesto!
rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil ,I would love to have a bath in it,it sounds so good.
Can somebody please print diabetes friendly recipes in these famous books ???
Monkey nut chutney really has me fascinated.
Could be fun to have on the table for friendsto try when having a BBQ
Can imagine their faces when they ask” what sort of chutney is it?”
And I reply “Monkey nut” lol
The Chilli Oil… The spicier the better.. Everything taste better with Chilli Oil.. trust me
Strawberry and vanilla jam as it’s a delightful combination that would be so nice on toast or even spooned straight from the jar.
The Coriander Pesto because I am a pesto nut (get it – haha!) and i haven’t tried a coriander one yet
After a week of demolishing Christmas goodies and New Years Eve cocktails, unfortunately I’m in the “I’ll just have a salad” mode .. so it’s the Bitton dressing for me!
I am not ordinarily a jam lover, I tend to prefer savoury foods. I’ve had this jam before though and it is amazing. Not like any jam you have ever tased… and my favourite way to eat it, on toasted good sourdough, with a really good blue… yeap you heard right, the mixture of sweet and vanilla and a good stinky blue cheese. AMAZING!
The strawberry and vanilla jam sounds like the perfect thing to turn my scones from average to delicious!
chilli garlic marsala because i love the combination on meats and other dishes
Mango and ginger nut jam sounds unique and delightful. I would never think of putting mango and ginger together, but I trust they know what they’re doing!
Monkey nut chutney
There once was a monkey called Mutley
who couldnt get enough nut chutney
he looked on the net
found britton gourmet
now has jars regularly sent.
The Orange Jelly would be a wonderfully new way to caramelise meats and root vegetables for the all important Sunday Roast. Can you imagine how lovely roasted beetroot or sweet potato would be with a bit of Orange Jelly basted over it? Not to mention fantastically colourful!
I could add moroccan spice to simply everything as my family loves hot and spicey.
I would like to try the Coriander pesto – I am a pesto nut (get it – haha!) and i haven’t yet tried a coriander one.
The cookbook – as I am always searching for inspiration. BUT, that Rosemary, thyme and vanilla oil does sound divine…
The coriander pesto sounds amazing – i love coriander and i love pesto!
i’m thinking the mango and gingernut jam……would make an amazing bread and butter pudding…
I love the sound of the Strawberry and Vanilla Jam, I could just see it adorning some beautiful fresh scones still with the steam rising and a dash of cream! Mouthwatering!
Monkey Nut Chutney…cute name! A couple of spoonfuls through my next stir fry will delight the 3 cheeky monkeys in my house!
Mango and ginger nut jam – my mouth is watering just typing the words. This would be an amazing ingredient – to both sweet and savoury dishes.
The Coriander pesto sounds great – I am a pesto nut and i love corriander
Coriander pesto – lovely fresh coriander for pasta, sandwiches, pizza, omelets, garnishes, anything! Yum!
The humble sandwich will never be the same again – Bitton Dressing mixed with shredded roast chicken (maybe your Zuni roast chook?!)and a dash of wholegrain mustard then topped with rocket and some sliced avocado. Perfection.
mmm… Bitton Dressing sounds delish. I really struggle in making my own dressings balance so am happy to work with the professionals!
Has to be the Monkey nut chutney, if the monkey has donated them so gallantly, then I think it would have to be tried
Ooooh! The coriander pesto sounds fab as I’d like to serve it on a lovely thick juicy barramundi fillet. I think I was Thai in a previous life!
I have just started to bake my own French macarons. Last night I made mango flavoured ones, but the flavour was not intense enough. I have a feeling that the Mango and Ginger Nut Jam would solve this problem!
NQN my fancy HAS been tickled by the rosemary thyme and vanilla oil – it is so good for smashed potatoes! – and the moroccan Spice – brilliant as a marinade for just about everything. Now you have me thinking about the monkey nut chutney! DYING to try this. Though win, lose or draw (?) – thanks for the bitton reminder you’ve given with this post. Time for a visit!

Still, good food gives some comfort for when I am alone, a big dollop of that jam on a piping hot scone.
They all sound amazing and delicious but I would love to try the Coriander pesto. It would be great on a pizza base or in a chicken stirfry.

There were once three beauties – Rosemary, Thyme and Vanilla. Rosemary, the pretty one dressed from head to toe in fragrance. Thyme, the serious one who takes great pride in her healing powers. Vanilla, the sociable one and the sweetest talker of the group. Together they competed against each other to win King Bitton’s fancy. The Evil Queen came in and tried to destroy their plan. She drew Rosemary in by promising her eternal beauty. Thyme fell into her trap with promise of eternal wisdom. Vanilla too fell under her sweet spells and lasting temptations. The three beauties were locked inside a well, unable to escape. ‘Help!’ they yelled from down under but nobody heard their pleas. Their tears soon filled up the well over one hundred years. Nobody knew what happened to the three beauties’ fate. They left behind a pool of rich dressings which later became known as Bitton’s Rosemary, Thyme and Vanilla oil!
Have fun with the story
