As you know, I am into all things Cupcake related. There was one cupcake item, the laser cut cupcake wrappers that I waited for months to grace our shores and finally as soon as Alfresco Emporium stocked them, they sold out within a matter of days. But when I finally got my greedy paws on these I was ecstatic, almost as good as getting a new pairs of Choos!
These cupcake wrappers wrap around regular sized cupcakes to give them that extra sparkle (just don’t bake with them!). Assembling them is easy, just join the two ends together to make a circle and place the tab in the slot provided.
Even better was that the nice people at Alfresco Emporium saw my reaction to these they offered up some sets in a giveaway. These are the 3 sets we are giving away:
Set 1: Princess & Happy Flowers
Set 2: Butterfly & Ivy
Set 3: Seashells and Trains
All you have to do is suggest a design for the Cupcake Wrapper that isn’t already provided. Also let me know which set you’d prefer if you won (I will do my best to give you the set you request but it may be another set). Email me your answer along with you name and address on: nqn.cupcake.wrappers@gmail.com OR you can leave it as a comment to the story. You can enter once daily as long as you have an original answer.
The competition is for Australian residents only (sorry overseas readers). But they are also available to purchase overseas so you won’t feel like you’re missing out!
The competition ends midnight AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on the 10th of December.
The Cupcake Wrappers are available from Alfresco Emporium: http://www.alfrescoemporium.com.au/index.asp?p=store&r=130
Love,
NQN

Ducks! You need one with ducks!
These wrappers are gorgeous! They are so detailed, and make any cupcake look special.
I will definitely be keeping these in mind for the next party or special occasion. My cupcakes will deceptively look like they were done by a professional!
OOooh, pretty! Be great for weddings or kids birthday parties. I’d want ones with hearts or cherries!
What about ones that say “king” or “prince” to go with the princess ones for boys. Or what about “Birthday Girl or Birthday Boy”
I would love either the first or second set
Teacup motif for a morning tea cupcake!
Ladybugs! I think little ladybugs would look gorgeous running around the edge of a cupcake… or maybe dragonflies?
Australia only? Man!
Wow these are just gorgeous! I think a wine (or champagne) glasses and bottles pattern would look lovely and go perfect for lots of different celebration events!
*stars*
everyone loves stars
I absolutly love the Butterfly ones but it would be great to see some australiana themed wrappers ie: with gum nuts cut out.
Cute little teddy bears.
I love them all, but especially the butterflies and ivy. With Thanksgiving coming how about some turkeys
My boys love the train wrappers. A suggestion for a wrapper would be a “Kimberley’s” Theme eg. Boab Trees, or Great Australian Icon Themes, such as Ayers Rock, Sydney Hardbour Bridge, etc
I’d love to see some fruit inspired ones, but if we won the Princess wrappers would be a huge hit in this house!
I’d love Set 2 - Butterflies and Ivy. So gorgeous and what an idea! Wish I thought of it first!
I think 2 swans joined together to form a heart shape would be great - beautiful for a wedding! I am planning to bake my own cupcakes for my wedding.
Love hearts…perfect for a wedding.
Loving set 3…best I start baking again hey?!
I love all of them. What a great idea. Have they thought of doing one with boats or cars to cater for boys birthday parties?
These are absolutely gorgeous. I would love to see a nursery rhyme theme such as Little Bo Peep or Mary Had a Little Lamb.
Ooh sets 1 or 2 would both be a hit in this house!
I think there should be a cupcake-shape wrapper! How cute would little cupcakes going round a cupcake be!
stars and moons would be great.
The 1st set is lovely.
Oh my! Those are super cute!
I think all those wrappers are awesome, i would be delighted to use any of them!
Alissa beat me to it. I was going to suggest cupcake-shape wrappers too!
As a second option how about clouds. Ultimately isn’t eating a cupcake like having a little bit of heaven?
or tiny baskets of all sorts, I guess the options are limitless.
Christmas trees!
I adore the butterfly set…. would love to suggest a row of daisies, like a daisy chain!
How about doves for weddings on white paper ?
I love set 2 the best “butterflies & Ivy. I think people who ‘invent’ items are the best.
Dymphna
Kangaroo’s, koala’s, eucalyptus tree’s etc - would make beautiful gifts
Frangipanis and Dragonflies my two favourite things
they/re gorgeous! i/d love to see sailor tattooish designs, skulls, anchors, tattoo style roses..they/d be so amazing
I ADORE Set no. 2 - I got so excited when I saw these - so pretty and delicate - what about any of the above but in a silver foil especially for Xmas or weddings!!! French stripe for Bastile Day and or a French Poodle - sorry love all things French - and Red/White & Blue for Independence day?
I love them, really unique, I would suggest balloons, fairies, the words “Happy Anniversary” or “Love”, palm trees, trucks, planes or tools for the boys. My favorite is the Ivy and butterfly. I will defiantly recommend to my friends.
In the wedding industry cupcakes are so very popular at the moment, suggest lace edged wrapper with Just Married one side and a blank space to put a sticker with a name on (bride & groom or guest)and also with a handle to make handing out easier.
I think a princess theme would be a nice theme for girls-maybe put on princesses on the ledge.
Or, fruits, like a variety of fruit on the edge. If I win, I’d prefer the seashells and trains set.
Puppies or kittens
The train and flowers are definitely our favorites. How about as an idea, creating a cupcake wrapper with a Merry Go Round or Carousel style theme?
these are unbelievable!what a great hostess gift. i think they need to do dolphins, rainbows, sea shells and stars! i love the butterflies they r just gorgeous!
These are the most gorgeous things I have seen! I also thought of stars, hearts, prince but how about fireworks?
I love the ivy ones but any would be wonderful.
Thank you!
There are so many cute ones that girls can use, but not as many for boys. I love the train and the spider ones though.
But I think they really need a dragon set. And maybe a castle one as well. The castle would be brilliant for housewarmings too.
howabout crocodiles?? or monkeys?? my 1 year old nephew is really into animals at the moment
Angels for Christmas
I love the idea of cupcakes or the carousel going around the top. How sweet.
I love polka dots so a polka dot one would be great - with circle cutouts. That way I could use it for birthdays, or just to make an everyday cupcake a bit special.
My 3 girls love the princess ones as they all think they are one. But I think if you can order your kids name or and special age like 21st love them
FAIRYS, GIRLS LOVE FAIRYS
I love the spider web one.how about little planes or at christmas little santas and stars cupcake wrappers.
Would love to see some travel themes ie. Opera House Sails, Eiffel Tower
Seasonal ones, so Christmas / easter, would be call. Id love the princess ones, since my sil and sis are both big princess’s
I love the butterfly and ivy ones. What a great idea!
How about a ‘Happy travels’ type design. suitcase, tickets, boats or planes. Karen
THESE ARE JUST FANTASTIC, THEY LOOK GORGEOUS AND WOULD BE PERFECT FOR ANY OCCASSION, CAN THEY BE REUSED? I LOVE THE BUTTERFLIES AND IVY, GREAT IDEA I WILL DEFINATELY USE THEM NEXT OCCASSION.
THERE SHOULD BE ONE FOR VALENTINES DAY WITH CHERUBS AND LOVE HEARTS
I loved ALL of the cupcake wrappers featured.
They are exquisite!
I would love to see some musically inspired wrappers.
Such as musical notes, instruments such as guitars, drums, saxophone and a microphone.
I also feel a sheet music patterned one would look very effective as well.
What a fabulous creation!
I think a celestial theme would be beautiful - stars, moons, shooting stars, maybe even little planets!
Or perhaps as an extension on the love heart theme that people are suggesting, you could create ones that say ‘I LOVE YOU’ or ‘MADE WITH LOVE’ to give to that special someone.
I often give cupcakes to my friends as thank you gifts, so wrappers that say ‘THANK YOU’ would be marvellous! In a sunny shade of yellow I think!
Stars and Moons. Im obsessed with the sky.
I love the second set. I make cupcakes for my daughter to take to school on her birthday. If they looked like that she would cry!
I would like to see little devils, to go with a decadent mini mudcake
HELLO KITTY!!
I love chistmas its my favourite time of year, so all i can say is christmas christmas christmas all different colourful varities to help us all celebrate this most wonderful time of the year!!
very cute, shame my cooking would not do them justice!
Dragons and fairy tale creatures, perfect for kid’s parties. I love all three designs up for grabs but my favourite is set number 2.
I’d love to see some with Snowflakes! I think this would be gorgeous for anything Winter related as well as Christmas.
Also I think little diamond ring cut outs around the edge would be cute for engagements, wedding chapel designs for weddings or church gatherings, fire-engines for little boys, little horses for girls or Melbourne Cup stuff, Santa in his sleigh with reindeer. Some others I think would look good:
The alphabet, numbers, baby bottles with rattles and teddy bears, cats, dogs, birds, jungle theme, snow theme, jack o’lanterns for Halloween and last but not least a pattern of roses.
These all look amazing!
Here is a few more ideas to add to all of the other GREAT ones!

Sports like football, soccer and basketball, or one design with lots of different sports depicted.
Cactus with sombreros.
Wedding Cake shapes with hearts and the words ‘I Do’.
High heels.
Safari style with those African trees and elephants and giraffes.

ballet shoes would be pretty
How about naughty ones for hen’s nights and little devils.
Oh I know how about one for the boys you know that girl that sits on the mud flap of the trucks. If I win would love either set 1 or 2.
I think ones with trophies around would be great to celebrate any sporting (or other) wins!
What beautiful wrappers!
However, I think a skull and crossbones one is needed - for all the pirates in our lives.
love the details on the wrappers.I particularly like the butterfly & Ivy ones, they look soooo elegant!!
my suggestion would be disney characters designs!!
Birthday range:
————–
Use the numbers 0 - 9 and they could be used for any birthday age.
For the boys:
————
You have made frilly ones for girls, what about one for boys/men. Use geometrical shapes eg. circles, squares etc.
I would love to see a set with dancers of 40s style ballroom, perhaps matched with a champagne glass & bubbles set?
Please may I have the butterfly and ivy set if I’m lucky enough to be chosen?
Thanks for finding these!
Using pink or purple glittery paper, dancing fairies I think would be very popular for little girls’ parties and great cheat sheets for busy mums!
I would love to see bright colours in shapes and pokeadots, for the girls, for our morning teas( I would look flash)
I love set 3
I love all the designs!
Houses or pickets fences for housewarming parties
for boys they could be decorated with footballs, basketballs, soccerballs, cricket bat and ball etc
for girls rainbows, fairies, stars, butterflys, tiara’s
for newborns they could be either pink or boy with welcome then a space for the babies name, dummies, ABC blocks, storks, booties.
mum and dads Happy Mothers Day, Happy Fathers day
specail birthdays could be large numbers eg 606060 going around the cake
Aren’t they lovely. I was thinking why not have a dog theme e.g. dog bones etc as there’s a big market now catering for pampered pooches. Ofcourse you would have to use a different recipe for the cupcake though or there’d be alot of pudgey pooches.
I would absolutely love the princess one. This could also be used for pampered pooches as I often refer to my girl as a princess.
At this time of year I am racking my brains trying to come up with a gift idea for my daughters’ school, dance and gymnastics teachers….so I think some “teacher” ones would be great. I think a tray of “teacher” cupcakes would make an awesome thank you gift. Though with three young daughters my favourite is the Princess and Happy Flowers set.
I like the idea of lots of different sized love hearts - could be used for weddings, valentines - Anything really!!With 2 youg princesses though I think you can guess which is our favourite!
How incredibly beautiful! For the children, I think a design with a superhero or a doll character would be fabulous!
How beautiful. My boys are both really into dinosaurs and dragons, or perhaps spaceships, aliens.
I love making cupcakes and my kids also love them but I think some sort of ladybird for the girls and frogs for the boys! I think they would look great and I would be happy with any of the 3 sets as they are all great
Lovehearts for valentines, strawberries, wrapped lollies, stillettos. Would love the princess set thanks…
