Win one of three sets of Cupcake Wrappers!

***THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR ANSWERS BY EMAIL AND BY COMMENTS***

CONGRATULATIONS TO:

Simon W.

Anne C.

Michele M.

As you know, I am into all things Cupcake related. There was one cupcake item, the laser cut cupcake wrappers that I waited for months to grace our shores and finally as soon as Alfresco Emporium stocked them, they sold out within a matter of days. But when I finally got my greedy paws on these I was ecstatic, almost as good as getting a new pairs of Choos!

These cupcake wrappers wrap around regular sized cupcakes to give them that extra sparkle (just don’t bake with them!). Assembling them is easy, just join the two ends together to make a circle and place the tab in the slot provided.

Even better was that the nice people at Alfresco Emporium saw my reaction to these they offered up some sets in a giveaway. These are the 3 sets we are giving away:

Set 1: Princess  & Happy Flowers

Set 2: Butterfly & Ivy

Set 3: Seashells and Trains

All you have to do is suggest a design for the Cupcake Wrapper that isn’t already provided. Also let me know which set you’d prefer if you won (I will do my best to give you the set you request but it may be another set). Email me your answer along with you name and address on: nqn.cupcake.wrappers@gmail.com OR you can leave it as a comment to the story. You can enter once daily as long as you have an original answer.

The competition is for Australian residents only (sorry overseas readers). But they are also available to purchase overseas so you won’t feel like you’re missing out!

The competition ends midnight AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on the 10th of December.

The Cupcake Wrappers are available from Alfresco Emporium: http://www.alfrescoemporium.com.au/index.asp?p=store&r=130

Love,

NQN

  • 31. Michele Marks | November 25, 2008 at 12:18 pm | #

In the wedding industry cupcakes are so very popular at the moment, suggest lace edged wrapper with Just Married one side and a blank space to put a sticker with a name on (bride & groom or guest)and also with a handle to make handing out easier.

  • 32. Pamela Plumley | November 25, 2008 at 4:36 pm | #

I think a princess theme would be a nice theme for girls-maybe put on princesses on the ledge.
Or, fruits, like a variety of fruit on the edge. If I win, I’d prefer the seashells and trains set.

    Thank you!

  • 37. Dianne | November 28, 2008 at 7:49 am | #

There are so many cute ones that girls can use, but not as many for boys. I love the train and the spider ones though.

But I think they really need a dragon set. And maybe a castle one as well. The castle would be brilliant for housewarmings too.

I love the idea of cupcakes or the carousel going around the top. How sweet.

I love polka dots so a polka dot one would be great - with circle cutouts. That way I could use it for birthdays, or just to make an everyday cupcake a bit special.

I loved ALL of the cupcake wrappers featured.
    They are exquisite!
I would love to see some musically inspired wrappers.
Such as musical notes, instruments such as guitars, drums, saxophone and a microphone.
I also feel a sheet music patterned one would look very effective as well.

  • 50. Lisa Bollard | December 2, 2008 at 11:36 pm | #

    What a fabulous creation!

I think a celestial theme would be beautiful - stars, moons, shooting stars, maybe even little planets!

Or perhaps as an extension on the love heart theme that people are suggesting, you could create ones that say ‘I LOVE YOU’ or ‘MADE WITH LOVE’ to give to that special someone.

I often give cupcakes to my friends as thank you gifts, so wrappers that say ‘THANK YOU’ would be marvellous! In a sunny shade of yellow I think!

  • 51. Simone Cambey | December 3, 2008 at 11:00 pm | #

Stars and Moons. Im obsessed with the sky.

I love the second set. I make cupcakes for my daughter to take to school on her birthday. If they looked like that she would cry!

I’d love to see some with Snowflakes! I think this would be gorgeous for anything Winter related as well as Christmas.
Also I think little diamond ring cut outs around the edge would be cute for engagements, wedding chapel designs for weddings or church gatherings, fire-engines for little boys, little horses for girls or Melbourne Cup stuff, Santa in his sleigh with reindeer. Some others I think would look good:
The alphabet, numbers, baby bottles with rattles and teddy bears, cats, dogs, birds, jungle theme, snow theme, jack o’lanterns for Halloween and last but not least a pattern of roses.

  • 58. Simon | December 8, 2008 at 4:56 pm | #

    Birthday range:
    ————–
Use the numbers 0 - 9 and they could be used for any birthday age.

    For the boys:
    ————
You have made frilly ones for girls, what about one for boys/men. Use geometrical shapes eg. circles, squares etc.

  • 74. debra thomass | December 10, 2008 at 9:33 am | #

Aren’t they lovely. I was thinking why not have a dog theme e.g. dog bones etc as there’s a big market now catering for pampered pooches. Ofcourse you would have to use a different recipe for the cupcake though or there’d be alot of pudgey pooches.

I would absolutely love the princess one. This could also be used for pampered pooches as I often refer to my girl as a princess.

At this time of year I am racking my brains trying to come up with a gift idea for my daughters’ school, dance and gymnastics teachers….so I think some “teacher” ones would be great. I think a tray of “teacher” cupcakes would make an awesome thank you gift. Though with three young daughters my favourite is the Princess and Happy Flowers set.
