In normal life, I have coffee no more than once a day, and usually decaf, because I’m ridiculous.
If I’m in the US… way too many frappuccinos and Cinnamon Dolce Soy lattes. My sense of dignity goes out the window and I become a sugared-coffee-flibbertigibbet.
oooh I am a soy latte kind of girl – which is not as hippy as it sounds!!
I normally have 1 every couple of days.
I am curious if you are legally authorised to run giveaways on your blog. Do you mind to show us (your readers) the competition permit number in public?
I have 2 cups of coffee a day at most. Skim strong mocha from Le Rennaissance. I love ssinf bonjour Madame every morning to the ladies and the hot baristas. Ahahah.
I normally have one a day at least once a week, maybe twice if we have a good brekkie on the weekend at a cafe. Always a skinny flat white.
Though I have my temptations of the caramel macchiato when I’m at Starbucks…
I am starting to self-medicate with coffee and will drink two or three a day. I have also started drinking a dark roast instant when I can’t be bothered to make a fresh cup using ground coffee that I keep in my freezer. Wrong I know, but real life is so busy I can’t be grinding beans fresh every time!
I have a skinny cappuccino every day that I’m at work. If I go out for lunch I might have another and if I’m out in the afternoon or evening I may just have an affogato, mmmmm dessert coffee.
I have at least one coffee a day, that I get dad to make using the coffee machine in the morning to wake me up – often I’ll have another flat white at uni in the afternoon!
No day is started until I have a cappucino pressed firmly into my hand by my kind husband….as he walks out the door to work and I face getting breakfast for six children. This coffee doesn’t count…it’s for medicinal purposes.
The ones that count would be my mid-morning “cheer me up” and the mid-afternoon “prepare-for-the-onslaught” plunger coffee – usually shared with a friend who is similarly girding her loins before school pick-up time.
I am a huge coffee lover – could easily have a few cups a day but in the interest of good health I try to keep it at one – two at the most.
My daily coffee is made at home using freshly ground beans and a percolator. I heat the milk and take one teaspoon of raw sugar. I like a medium dark roast. Mmmm coffee!!
I have to move to Australia. I need this.
Like lavazza but prefer illy.
I’m a soy latte for my second breakfast (or first if breakky hasn’t happened yet that day) girl.
I have one coffee per day and my preferred coffee is Genovese or Illy coffee. Genovese is a Victorian company and their coffee is extremely good. My husband and I travel extraordinary distances just to have a cup of their coffee
I like Robert Timms coffee, nice taste good aroma. Alway’s good to wake up to a good coffee.
2 coffees a day, I love a strong soy latte!
I’m really fussy with my coffee, because if it’s too bitter I can’t drink it without adding copious amounts of sugar. Smooth coffee I can drink by the bucketful. I find that, except for the rare good shop coffee, the only way to get it how I like it is to make it myself!
Myself I have about 2-3 cups a day. Depends on the coffee that’s available. My better half however probably has about 5 or more.
Definately coffee lovers!
Instant coffee, Robert Timms would have to be the nicest blend I think.
The few times I’ve tried Lavazza it’s been a nice smooth coffee to drink. Very easy to enjoy!
My preferred coffee is an affogato – Shot of nice smooth coffee with a small scoop of ice cream. Yum!
Perfect to get you going!
Two coffees are required to get me going in the mornings.
Im totally into my Lavazza.
I love their quality, taste and image of style & sophistication.
I also stand behind them for their association with the L’oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
xxoo
I personally don’t have any coffee any day, I’m a tea drinker. But my husband has at least 3-5 cups a day. His favourite is probably stove top expresso, but he drinks french press a fair bit too. He can’t get by without coffee and he’d love this!
Lorraine! You have read my blog on Coffee 101 and know I am obessed with it! If I had my way coffee would be running through my veins as we speak! I love a good piccollo latte in the morning, macchiato aroudn 3pm and maybe finsh off the day with a mellow cappuccio. If on a night out, then maybe add another espresso to the list. I live dangerously and balance on that imaginary line of overdosing on caffeine!
I love drinking coffee in the morning with a slice of toasted fruit bread dripping with butter. Yummm.
I also like a cup in the afternoon. It’s a great pick-me-up especially with a delicious morsel of pastry, say something with chocolate.(Ok, maybe more than a morsel.)And it helps me keep grading papers.
On weekdays I only allow myself 1 coffee a day (supplemented with a tea in the arvo of course
), weekends 2 is acceptable, and study week at uni the sky is the delicious, foamy limit.
I drink soy cappucinos purely because I have a very disagreeable stomach when it comes to delicious dairy but I still get to have a little chocolate! Yay!
I agree with Hannah though, when I was in the Us I was having 3 ridiculous sugary coffee concoction a day – might help explain the 5kg of excess baggage I brought back on my thighs!
I
I have 2 Mocchachinos per day
thanks for the gorgeous giveaway
This red coffee plunger would look fab against my red spashback in my new kitchen
I have to limit myself to one a day…otherwise I’m bouncing off walls and EVERYONE knows about it! That one cup always has to be decent though so that I thoroughly enjoy it. And it’s always a skim milk cappuccino.
But if I’m Lygon St I always blow my limit and treat myself to an affogato
I try to keep it to one coffee a day keeps me happy rule but never refuse a 2nd after dinner when there’s a nice piece of cake. Always a full fat latte gal!
I love coffee … and I drink it all day long … have to confess that I have branched out from Starbucks. So embarrassed! I order a Quad Grande Breve Latte when I am out. Drink Nescafe instant at home … don’t laugh … surprisingly good.
Coffee is my black gold. I’ve had phases with the numbers of coffees I consume in one day, and the types.
I’ve learned quality over quantity. I drink one coffee a day made by my favourite barrista on campus. I order, I sit, and a savour the smooth texture of the (always!) freshly ground coffee, the optimally frothed milk and the smooth, full bodied flavour of the cappuccino overall. The ultimate coffee type for me? It must be the “cap”. How traditional of me!

Thanks for the chance to win some more fabulous products you are so generous. I have at least 4-5 cups a day if I can- I started with cappuccinos but then I changed to at the moment lattes although I have recently started having the occasional short black just for that quick caffeine shot and fix
I have been a nurse for about 30 yrs so caffeine runs in my veins. Only way to get through Night shift is at least 4-5 STRONG coffees. I prefer a good flat white. I can’t drink it black. Fell in love with Lavazza when I worked at the Childrens Hospital at Westmead. (From the Brasserie- NOT Starbucks) have been a big fan ever since.
Thank you so much for your Blog. Look forward to it every day.
Best Wishes,
Dianne
I love my coffee especially in the morning, but I’m just a plain old instant coffee with sugar and milk drinker.I’d love to try something really special like Lavazza.
Nothing beats a nice cup of fresh percolated coffee in the morning before anyone else is awake, then truoghout the day at work i loose count.
I have one to two coffees a day. I switch between a skim flat white or a skim mocha depending on where my feelings take me on the day.
I try to limit my coffee to just one a day and before 2pm as it sure fires me up. I love the stuff. I love a good old fashioned cap, which is usually my preferred choice. A good barrista can make most brands of coffee taste wonderful.
I need 2 coffees in the morning and that keeps me going all day. At home, I only drink black plunger coffee – no sugar, and I savour to aroma in the house even after the coffe is gone
I have 2 x coffees per day. One while I am doing my makeup in the morn and another around 2pm right when the work day is at its grindiest. (coffee pun ;P). I like Colombian coffees.
Always a coffee in the morning! Hopefully at home before I head out but if the train is about to leave in 7 minutes then to a coffee shop for a large skim cap when I arrive at my destination. A friend of mine perfected her coffee making and frothing abilities from watching utube.
In the morning I have a caffe latte. After dinner it is a short black. I alternate from Lavazza to Vittoria Coffee.
One a day – if I’m feeling naughty maybe two…. I’m a skim cap girl, but love a good plunger when I can’t visit my favourite (and cute) Barista!
During the work week, I have coffee twice: the first time at 10am and then a second time at 2pm… just enough to make it through the day.
On the weekend, I usually have coffee in the afternoon with friends or while reading!
I have one coffee in the morning – a flat white with 1 sugar. (I also have full cream milk… it feels deliciously sinful in the morning).
Hmmm, depends on my day but normally 1-3. Always one plunger/French press (a non-Bodum lame-o plunger!) coffee to start my day, with a little dash of milk. Then one sometime after lunch at uni – a long black. If I’m also working at night my lovely bar staff will make me a mocha to keep me energised!
I love Bodum for two reasons – they make fabulous coffee plungers, and their glassware is very very handy in the plankton lab! Just have to be careful not to confuse the two
I usually have 3 or 4 cups a day, more if friends drop around, my favourite coffee is cappachino, a little naughty but so very nice.
Usually between 2 and 4 coffees a day. The morning heart starter is essential and has to be a skinny latte from the cafe across the road from work. Pure heaven!!
No other coffee can surpass
Lavazza oozing style and class
Perfect aroma, rich coffee taste
Any other brand in my cup, would be a disgrace
First thing in the morning, last thing at night
These two plunger coffees are my daily delight.
One coffee a day Lorraine… otherwise I go hyper. My favourite coffee is one that is made by my partner….
During the week I would probably have 2 coffees. On the weekend I am more likely to have a couple more.
I always have a Machiatto because I am not much into having milk in my coffee
I drink at least 5 espresso shots a day, and Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is my all-time favorite type.
I have at least two heartstarters in the morning. I’m a fan of all coffee as long as it’s strong and creamy. I could hug my espresso machine when I wake up, I love it that much.
Today it is my birthday and after indulging in a little too much Sangria last night, and being woken at 5am by the baby, the sight of my coffee machine’s little blinking light made it all seem a little more peachy!
I have a weak latte everyday morning with friends after our gym workout. Can’t face the day without coffee and friends. It’s always a good start to the day and if I get lucky I have another latte with mums from school just before school pick up.
I have three coffees a day – espresso in the morning, skim flat white mid morning and espresso in the afternoon. My favourite is the one I have first thing in the morning as my hubby brings it to me in bed before he leaves for work!!!
i probably have coffee about once every month actually, and only when i’m out at a new cafe or restaurant and wanting to try it to compare. if i do have a coffee it’s usually a flat white or cappuccino to compare with others. but if i won this i’d be sure to try more at home
This is something I probably shouldn’t be confessing to.
I drink 5 cups of short blacks with a 1 tsp raw sugar, a day. One at 5:00am the next at 11:00am, third stop is 4:00pm and (get this-to wind down) at 9:00pm.-But in between I have lots of water, lol.
Fell in love with Blue Mountain coffee years ago but now only have 1 a day ! and love an affogatto
I suspect Michelle (above) is a lawyer who hasn’t had her coffee yet! They say there’s one in every crowd but I thought we might be safe in NQNland. Apparently not. If I get RSI as I type this and trying to drink my daily soy macchiato at the same time, or suffer burns or laptop damage maybe I’ll sue her for loss of income. What humbug.
If I am having coffee I want good coffee. The Angel Cafe makes the best cappuccino in town. So I indulge whenever I can.
None… or one really really good coffee… I wouldn’t trade being pregnant for anything but I’m looking forward to indulging in some of the good stuff in a few short months… any which way!!
I can’t start my day without a coffee, black or with milk, always full fat, never decaf. My favourite brand is actually Lavazza, but I drink Medaglia d’oro from Cafe Aurora due to affordability. A good coffee is pure magic, and thinking that somebody discovered the process of getting the beans from the tree into that black life-saver amazes me every day!
I try to limit myself to 2 coffees per day because I’m breastfeeding, but I often find myself having 3 coffees in a day! My preferred kind of coffee is a medium roast prepared in a coffee press/plunger.
machiatto, 2x a day
I read the comment after seeing Ant’s. Michelle you probably don’t get many invitations because you just bring the mood down. Sorry NQN but this is a great competition and she had to get all “legal” on us. From my understanding (as a marketing person) you can hold a competition without a permit if it is a game of skill and not of chance which it is from what I can read. If it were a lottery and therefore a game of chance you are require to have a permit to ensure that it is truly a game of chance.
Your non legally,
The Other Michelle
About 5 Robert Timms coffee bags (mocha kenya style) and probably a couple of skim milk caps , no sugar . Love coffee .
I’m still searching for the perfect cup of coffee, drawn by the aroma but often disappointed by the somewhat bitter taste of much coffee served in cafes.
I have three coffees a day. One latte made at home (Lavazza), and two at work to get me through the day! (also Lavazza – Crema E Gusta is my favourite)
I am so envious of all these people who can limit to a couple a day!! I not only drink about 5 long blacks a day, but instant at that. My excuse is that I am getting through my Honours year, and do not have time to shop for a decent coffee maker. Pre-honours I drank green tea and herbals, now I’ve had to pull out the big guns – Nescafe Instant! Truly a bracing experience.
during the week it’s one coffee a day and it has to be a large flat white (no sugar). i find it makes the start of the day a bit better
I usually have one cappucino on the way to work in the morning. None of that sissy soy, decaf or skim stuff for me.
Just a lovely, creamy full-cream cappucino (and Lavazza is a great brand!)dusted with chocolate.
On the weekends, a nice plunger coffee with the papers would be good!
I love my coffee but have become less indulgent of things I shouldn’t have too much of lately. I might have 1-2 cups a day. My favourite coffee is from Hawaii, a Kona coffee from made from coffee beans grown on the island of beautiful Hawaii. I’ll have a soy latte when I’m out but when at home, the Kona coffee is a flat white (with soy milk, of course).
Ditto on Ant’s and The Other Michelle’s comment. How annoying.
As much as I love coffee, I can only have it once a day (unfortunately for my tastebuds and hooray for my nerves which go into hyperdrive when I have more than one). My favourite is a skim cappuccino with no sugars, or a vanilla latte if I feel like a sugar hit, from what I think is the best cafe on the Sydney Uni campus – Azzuri’s!
Have to have a cup of instant before the first school run (half milk, half water) to the disgust of most of my friends. BUT I reckon instant coffee and espresso is like Milo and Hot Chocolate – similar in theory but totally different drinks! And if I’m really in need (99% of time) I pick up a drive through skim flat white on the way home from that school drop off.. yum.. Favourite coffee – currently Segafredo..
I have 2 coffees daily, mostly instant but much prefer real coffee. Have a flat white when out shopping.
2 cups of Nescafe Gold a day (accompanied by 2 squares of chocolate!!!!) ….. when at home, as plunger coffee never tastes like it smells!!! Definitely a Flat White when I am at a cafe though. Maybe I never try the right plunger coffee?
I usually limit myself to 2 coffees per day. I’m so not fussy though – can do instant, home espresso, scrummy barista coffee and also partial to a skim white chocolate mocca…
I try to have only one a day when I’m at uni and I love going to Coffee Republic at UNSW. I have a regular latte with no sugar to balance out my sugar intake.
I usually start the day with a double espresso with my breakfast, a mug of french press long black during the morning, a large caramel latte with lunch and another french pressed mug’o'long-black in the afternoon…
Trying to limit to not more than 1 a day pref a skinny latte and definitely not after 3pm or I am wide awake as an owl!
I have 1 skinny capuccino with 3 marshmellows in it a day when im at uni… its actually called a mellocino… yumm. highlight of the day
um… technically 4.
But they are in a really REALLY big cup so maybe 8?
I am like, really really busy…
And they are espresso coffee, I don’t do instant.
I usually have one cup of black coffee per day and yes it is Lavazza coffee and yes it is in a Bodum plunger that I have had for about 20 years!
Oh! I have a coffee each morning. I love nothing more than taking time over breakfast and having a coffee while everyone else is still asleep. As a teacher I sometimes will have one throughout the day, depending on how much energy the kids have drained from me. Oh, and drink of choice is soy flat white. Yum
I have 2 cups of coffee a day – a cappuccino in the morning and latte or mocha in the afternoon to keep me going.
Hi NQN,
I only have one coffee a day, and it must be a skinny cafe latte.
Cheers,
Custardbun.
I have at least 1 (and sometimes up to 3) coffee a day, depending on how kind my newborn baby has been to me overnight. Always a skim flat white with one sugar. Agh, coffee cravings now…
In summer I’ll have 2 cups of latte, then in winter probably around 3 or 4 cups
2 decaf long blacks and if I haven’t much sleep or it’s going to be a long day… an regular espresso… I love tasting the coffee all on it’s own… no sugar no milk
I try to have just 1 coffee a day. And I use beans from Seven seeds. I need the aroma and taste of coffee to wake up every morning!
My routine is three, always plunger at home,
The odd espresso in cafes topped with rich foam.
But my preferred coffee isn’t local… It’s ideally IN ROME!!!
I do a plunger a day.
I drink coffee for the effect, not the taste. Just like I do my booze.
I drink a cheap, dirty dishwater variety. It’s like the goon of the coffee-world. And I’m pretty sure (even though I buy it at the Reject Shop) it still costs about 85 times more than what they pay their Ecuadorian child slaves to harvest it.
P.S. My dumm housemate decided last week that my plunger looked better broken to bits on the kitchen floor, than standing handsome next to the microwave.
And she’s too tight to buy me a new one!! I’m gonna take her hair straightener and throw it over the fence. Friggin skank.
I recently fell off the coffee-free wagon, after 6 years of sobriety. Easing my way back in with 1 long black a day, trying not to get back to my old habit of 8 espressos a day!
So many that I run like an energiser bunny! Well, make that about 2 cups of per day and my favourite is latte.
every morning I put my little coffee !! Cheers Pierre
I have a skim strong mocha at 3pm every day because thats when I start falling asleep at work!
I keep it to one cup a day for certain reasons…but oh do i savour that 1 cup. It is how I start my work day. Skim flat white. That’s how I like it.
I love a latte in the morning and a flat white coffee in the afternoon. Very occasionally I really enjoy the lift that a sweet black coffee can give. I press my own coffee and much prefer it to a home machine.
Hi Lorraine,
I love my Mocha Java. It’s my daily guilty pleasure. As a “junior” housewife, 3 cups a day is a must to get me going so I don’t fall asleep while on the job cleaning the toilet bowl
One sip of that delicious Mocha Java is enough to fire up my senses, dancing to Cha Cha and gyrating to vibrations of volcanoes oozing hot Mocha…
It’s the perfect escapism when stuck with a monotonous (i.e. “boring”) job like mine!
Cheers,
Melissa
The strenuous nature of university life means I consume far too much coffee – I drink perhaps three coffees a day on average, and that’s not including the many pots of tea to accompany those endless essays! Normally, I’m a capuccino girl through and through when I’m out and about, but at home I love the ceremony of good plunger coffee – the smell of the freshly ground beans, the wonderful anticipation of waiting for the coffee to brew, and of course the required accompanying cake or biscuit. Since I’ve just moved out of home, the family plunger is no longer at my disposal and I’ve been resigned to drinking instant coffee – I’ve been meaning to buy a pretty new plunger for a while now, and the Bodum one looks simply divine. As much of a pick-me-up as coffee itself!
I drink a Mocha when I am at work (Monday to Friday), I usually don’t drink any on the weekend unless going to a nice cafe for brunch, which is very often anyway, thanks to your recommendations!
When I’m not working I have 2 cups of plunger coffee, black, at home, and at work I have 3 small cups of latte with warm milk, not hot! Warm milk makes cafe latte sweet without sugar!!
Cheers!
I guess I have 3 to 5 coffess each day. When I make it at home I like to use an organic, fair-trade coffee, but I often go for Lavazza when my sense of taste outways my moral sensibility…

I’m awful with my coffee addiction, it’s usually 2 mochas a day but come exam time that number can double…
we have a coffee percolator so I have 2 cups in the morning, any more and I would be on the toilet all day
2 Coffees per day, which I make myself.
Campos Superior Blend.
You’ve awoken a sleeping dragon, Lorraine!!Drinking coffee is like speaking a 2nd language to me…i’ve actually cut back a little (though not entirely) on my coffee intake. I used to do 4-5 a day, (even managing to down 6 in one morning shift once!!) but now, my max is a meager 3 cups (instant, we don’t have fresh ground coffee at work…boo) with the usual 3-4 tsp sugar (white or raw, whatever is available).
My aim is to bypass my previous record of 6 cups of coffee and try and hit the 10 cup mark…!! Heehee!! ^___^*
Gees Michelle calm down…. what’s it matter…. this is a great blog if even if it’s not regulated who cares… don’t enter if you don’t want to but don’t make it an issue for people that do… there is already so many rules and regulations in the world… let there be some fun!!!!
In answer to the question most days I have around 5 cups of coffee helps me juggle working fulltime, my husband and my 3 year old… wouldn’t trade it for all the tea in China…… ha ha
One mug of really good long black mid morning – sheer perfection.
I love a really good, freshly brewed coffee, skim milk – but no latte, it takes from the coffee. It must be a clean serving station, you can taste it if it is dirty or ‘burned’.
During a working day, I would have at least 4 coffees/day. I like espresso coffee, strong aromas and strong flavour.
I drink any cofffee, any time, any where. My hubby makes the best coffee for me, doesn’t matter which bean, which blend, which milk, which cup. It just tastes better because he made it
Whoops, forgot to mention that I usually have 2-3 coffees a day. It all depends whether bubs had me up in the middle of the night or not.
Coffee oh Coffee, how I love Thee
Well Lorraine, you know how I just lurrrrrve coffee in any way, shape or form as I’ve written about it in the past. In my younger days I would teeter on 10 cups a day, yes that was waaaaaaaaaaaay too many and I ended up with Arrythmia ( irregular heart beat) from all the caffeine so nowadays, being older and wiser I limit myself to 2 cups a day. These can be expresso or cappuccino. If out shopping it’s a definite must, I just adore that coffee smell and taste and treat myself with a skinny capp with extra froth of course, lol. It does taste a hell of a lot better with full cream milk though.
In Italy, a strong short black after a hearty lunch aids digestion and is most welcome ( I love it with a shot of Sambuca)again for digestive purposes!
I use both Lavazza and Vittoria, grind my own beans daily and use a stove-top cafettiera. Can you smell that???? Mmmmmmmmmm
Another thing which intrigues and amuses me is just how much Australians have embraced the ritual of coffee drinking. Did you know that per capita we are one of the highest coffee drinkers in the world?
i must have this plunger red is so my colour i allow myself 2 coffes in the morning and maybe 1 in the afternoon i adore coffee most ways and it would be my addiction of choice hence the limitations i put on myself my favorite is most definately mocha but i need my coffe everyday so i will take it anyway i can get it
I prefer Lavazza coffee when I’m out and about and I can get it but use Nescafe instant at home because I don’t own any sort of coffee maker ,,, but I would love to …
I am definitely a coffee lover! My daily intake is usually 1 to 2 cups a day. Any more and I am literally climbing the walls hehe.
We have a coffee machine at work and we usually drink the Lavazza Oro as it’s the best you can get from Corporate Express. Though on the weekends I am very partial to the fancy pants single origin coffees you can get around Melbourne these days.
I do love the syphon coffees too – no bitterness, very sweet and tasty
I fell in love with soy latte’s about this time last year and usually have one with breakfast, morning tea and afternoon tea.Such a much needed pick me up when working with delightful busy pre-schoolers!
I only have a late in the morning on my way to work but could do with the bodum as we gave our two away years ago when someone gave us a stove top espresso maker. We never use the espresso maker anymore as the coffee comes out bitter. Our fault Im sure as thisnever happened with the bodum.
On the weekends – at least three or four. On weekdays – I limit myself to two or three and never after 3 pm (too hard to sleep otherwise).
As for method – my trusty home cappuccino machine using Lavazza coffee of course!
I’m a half strength flat white kind of gal. I have it weak for two reasons 1. It’s sacriligious to add sugar to coffee 2. It tastes foul with sugar added!!!
P.s. After reading number 3′s post I scrolled through the comments looking for a rebutal, and there it was no 54. Ant, well done!!!!
Hi!
Actually my ultimate favourite coffee is Lavazza – Lavazza Gold to be precise. I introduced it to my mother in-law and we have since adopted a ‘coffee ritual’ where we always share a cup at whenever each of us visit one another. I get mine from a little deli near where I work that sell it at a really good price – so I often stock up for the both of us – after all it would be terrible to run out and miss a ritual!
One a day – lattes pretty much do it for me, not fussed with where the beans come from though
Coffee is the lost food group they forgot to teach us about in high school and kept secret until we hit the ranks of the Working Adults of the world. How did they ever expect us to survive without it????
Bodum is like the High end of the Couture of Coffee, amazing acceories for any occasion.
Mette Pehrson
I have three coffees a day but prefer the creamy cappuccino kind! “Lavazza is my all time favourite its so smooth”…
I love Thai iced coffee probably for its sweetness. I can’t seem to get myself to enjoy a hot cuppa java though; my partner, on the other hand, injects it, three times a day before 3pm. I’m more loose with my change. She’s the frugal gourmet, though more frugal than gourmet when it comes to coffee. She drinks “instant coffee.” Sorry for cursing. She drinks it not because it tastes better – even I know Lavazza is the bomb – but because it’s in her price range. On special occassions like Valentine’s Day, I’ll buy her a package of Lavazza or Vittoria. Otherwise, I’m not allowed to make such a purchase. Please help me save a coffee drinker so we can make her life a richer one.
Ooooer, if I’m at home one or two, if I’m out at a nice cafe two or three.
A nice flat white is my standard, although occasionally you can’t go past a nice macchiatio.
HI!I have really been enjoying my Lavazza coffee lately as espresso, latte, cappucino or one of my favs-plunger coffee. The reason is I purchased a coffee bean grinder & now I can store the Lavazza beans & have freshly ground coffee any style any time and indeed any size.Mostly I use my baby Gagia to make my espresso & lattes. At the same time as purchasing the grinder I went to my deli and bought a kilo bag of Lavazza Caffe Espresso beans-I’m in coffee heaven but would love the chance to have a plunger for after dinner cafes!
cheers
Meg
I have one coffee in the morning and one just after lunch. My preferred blend is Lavazza.
1 Strong Flat White with one sugar – great way to start the day. Rich, warm and gives you time to start the day at your own pace.
2 short macchiotos – before lunch and later in the afternoon. A coffee kick when you need it: to push your busiest part of the day and then see you home
I have 2 a day – a long black in the morning to get things running as they should and then in the evenings, my favourite, a weak latte to smooth the day down.
I have one coffee a day, either a flat white or a capuccino, because I love coffee and I think the barista is pretty hot too!
My one special treat is cafe served long black with skim foam and a spinkle of cinnamon!
I love one cup of coffee as part of my daily ritual on my way to work. It usually makes the thought of another day with 32 children a little more bearable. Yes I’m a teacher
I usually stop off at a great little coffee shop in Victoria Park (Perth) called the IMP.
Yay me! I have one already!
I might have 5 cups of coffee a day of plunger coffee and my brand is espresso nice and strong
I would have a least four coffees every day! Two before work, one after half an hour at work and probably one in the afternoon. Then maybe after dinner as well. Oh dear, I didn’t ever stop to realise how much I was consuming!
I drink long blacks if I’m out and just straight up black at home. We are drinkng Lavazza Torino caffe espresso at home at the moment. It’s great!
My email address is testament to how much of a caffeine addict I am. What’s wrong with me ? Why, there’s too much blood in my caffeine system, of course!!
Espresso is my savior, 2 in the morning or an enormous headache follows and one at lunch. Do I have a problem with caffeine you ask? Only if I don’t get it.
Had 3 mochas today. I think that’s becoming my usual amount now :/
I love to treat myself to a cappuccino for afternoon tea (extra chocolate sprinkle, of course).
At work I have 2 a day but on weekends usually 3. I like a stong coffee with one sugar, it has to be hot but not boiling. Covered with a small layer of frothy milk and a sprinkle of chocolate. Delicious!! Making my mouth water thinking of it.
I limit my coffee to 1, so that if I’m travelling and can’t easily get a coffee I don’t have too many withdrawal symptoms!
At work I have a capuccino, and at home I have a plunged (french press) coffee.
I normally have one every 3 days or so, and just use Instant coffee – I like Moccona.
I have one Nescafe Green Blend Coffee a day. It has antioxidants in it like green tea. It’s a bit bitter, but good for you.
I rise from slumber, Sip my first morning coffee,
Favourite roasted blend “Lavazza” with Toast,
I read the morning paper, I Start my busy day,
In the evening while listening to Michael Buble,
I have my second encounter with coffee,
The taste of coffee with my lips on the china,
Enjoyed with delectable mouth watering desserts,
I savour last drops EVERYDAY.
I have ONE cappuccino a day – it’s at night-time, from the coffee maker, has a dash of scotch, and doesn’t keep me awake the slightest! Health food of a nation.
In Good Company, Twice each day,
I enjoy “Lavazza” coffee the Italian way,
My mind is wrapped in its warmth, Its earthy steam,
The sniff of its aroma, Lifts my esteem.
I take 2 cups of “Lavazza” coffee a day , I love its aromatic blend, its richness and taste. Coffee is my passion, my indulgence and delight, my moment of freedom and pleasure.
Coffee captivates me with its beauty and taste, it holds my attention by its charm and irresistible features, its my perfection in a cup.
Still addicted to my daily 2 mochas.
I’ve had to cut down recently. My usual, an entire plunger to myself, was starting to make me jittery. Now I share a plunger with my girlfriend every morning over breakfast. My preferred method, though, is espresso. My local cafe has an old German machine from the sixties that looks like a piece of industrial machinery, but makes an amazingly smooth shot. No milk. It just hides the flavour.
Hi!
I drink coffee at least twice a day. Once in the morning and afternoon. I actually mostly drink instant coffee because I am always really busy and a nearly “ready made” coffee is just there waiting for you!!
I love green tea, but I loooooove my morning coffee. I enjoy a sweet and milky espresso with my breakfast and it really gets me going.
I usually have plunged organic coffee in the morning (with light milk! or full cream..) and sometime before dinner; not to mention my love for flat white when I’m out.. I love coffee from cafe ish.
so in total, 2-3 cups a day!
Re: Josh’s post #140
Will have to try that sometime! Daily 2 mochas (even though it’s not much compared to what you guys drink!)can’t be too healthy..
Hazelnut mocha and probably 1-2 times a day ^-^
o SO yummy =D
I love my daily cup of cappachino every morning but every Monday I’ll treat myself to something special. There’s a nice little cafe near my office in the city. They serve the best Kopi Luwak (or “civet” coffee). I wouldn’t reveal here what this coffee is made of – I’m sure some of the coffee connoisseurs here already know
, suffice to say it’s the best coffee that I’ve had the pleasure to ever taste. It’s really rich, with a hint of caramel taste. It’s expensive though as a cup would cost me about $40. Indulging in Kopi Luwak makes me forget about my daily stress, especially in the current economic climate. Watching the life pass by in the rustle and bustle of the city and drinking the smooth-as-silk coffee is a wonderful feeling, like waltzing into exotic paradise, savouring the pure tranquility that comes with every swirl. I couldn’t help locking myself in my cuppa every time, surrendering all my senses to the most intense sensation… until my colleagues tap me on the shoulders, that it’s time to get back to work.
With my second child arriving this coming May, I know that I’ll have to give up my little luxury and start tightening up my belt soon. The Lavazza coffee pack, well, would come in handy with the late nights attending to my precious baby.
My preferred kind is sweet but strong.
Mmmmmm
Make that a double.
Double the pleasure.
RE #152: Aw, congrats on the child Will.
Will one day try the Kopi Luwak, but for now my uni student savings can only afford 2 mochas a day.
I’ve just come off the wagon and back onto 2-4 cups a day. If it’s instant it’s Nescafe Gold, if it’s ground it’s LavAzza or a local brand Black Crest. Hot, sweet, with a generous splash of milk, and of course a good book makes for a perfect cup.
One per day at the most, though its usually more like 1 every 3 days. I just had a vienna mocha when out over the weekend and it was great!
i usually have 1 per day… my favourite is actually one that i get from gloria jeans – the caramelatte which i add an extra dose of caramel to.
Twice a day I make a strong brew,
In a long glass, sugar and ice too,
I add chilled coconut milk,
My tropical coffee’s like sweet brown silk.
For me…..
There could never be enough coffees in my day.
My prefer kind is definitely Italian.
We’re big Bodum fans. We’ve got one in stainless steele that’s very sleek looking and keeps the pot hot for longer. We had a glass one much like the one being offered up but a guest broke it so this would be the perfect replacement:) Can’t say enought about Lavazza. My partner loves loves the good stuff!
I have one coffee every few days and my current favourite is a lovely cappuccino. I’m trying to be good!
Good morning Lorraine,
Since getting my new coffee machine for christmas I have 4 cups a day(a bit naughty!)
I am loving the Ceasers Espresso blend from the Central Coast NSW
and Peak coffee from the Mid North Coast.
I love espresso double shot.
After trip to Sienna & Florence, I changed from cappucino with an extra shot to simply a short macchiato..
Lavazza is the perfect coffee to feed my 3-a-day addiction…
3… is that a lot?
I like coffee from a french press the best; there’s just something lovely and quaint about it.
One every 3-4 days, but thats because Im being very good at the moment. It used to be 1 a day! I love mocha, yum!
I have a coffee every few days, but writing about it every day makes me want more! I love instant coffee (moccona) at home or cappucino when out.
I have two skinny lattes most days. I love coffee and couldn’t have a day without at least one!
im a latte fan average 3 a day
When at home I stick to instant and normally have one every 3-4 days.
Hmmm…2
And I love Hazelnut lattes…though the best coffee I ever had was in Vietnam, with a nice thick layer of condensed milk at the bottom
I have two cappuccinos and a mocha every day!!
one plain white coffee to wake me up and one delicious caramel latte for morning tea (not good for my diet! LOL)
I usually have about 8 cups. Really trying to cut down. Usually Harris or Lavazza
I usually just have a standard cappacino in the morings, and my fave is any coffee my mum whips up! She’s the coffee queen!
I have to limit myself to one Fair Trade Organic Expresso every morning because my body is particularly responsive to caffeine! The last time I drank 2 cups of coffee, I was bouncing off the walls for 3 hours afterwards! Fantastically effective way to get the housework done
I am not a huge coffee drinker on a daily basis, and usually I am in such a rush that I drink instant, but I do love my Latte` whenever I get the chance
One coffee every few days. I’d love to try some different types after reading about them above. I love a good mocha.
I have 2 cups of coffee — one as I rush out the door and then one when I settle in at the office! I love skinny lattes when the coffee is aromatic and smooth.
I am not going to reveal the exact amount of cups per day as I would probaly be thrown in the nuthouse..It is well in excess of 10.
If im in a hurry inbetween getting the kids lunch or making dinner its instant moccona,if I have a spare 10 mins its a Cappachino im my machine, and I have many brands and types I enjoy, arabic and italian being my 2 favourite Types.
3 Coffees a day keeps the yawns away as a short black shot is what keeps me running hot!
I love coffee but my naturopath says only one per day so I make it a flat white if I’m out and about, or a good instant coffee like moccona if I’m at home. I take my time and take in the fabulous aroma before slowly sipping. Heaven!
I have about 4-6 trim coffees a day, it’s my piece of paradise in an otherwise chaotic day. I do love the smell of perc coffee when I can get it, and Cafe Laffare is my absolute must have coffee brand that i get my sister to send over from NZ so I can get my daily fix
2 a day one to get me started in the morning one to get me through after a big lunch which makes me sleepy… love to indulge so add some chocolate and give me a Mochachinno
This competition is going to end soon and I doubt I’ll win this because I NEVER won anything in my entire life. So I’ll just give it a try.
I have my own concoction of coffee most of the days to keep me awake in lectures. I try to keep it 1 cup daily because I know I’ll be addicted to coffee sooner or later.
AND my coffee consists of 1 heaped tablespoon of fair trade organic instant coffee and 3 heaped tablespoons of Milo. My friend who is already a coffee addict thinks I’m weird drinking that. It’s like Nes-lo which I have it in Malaysia.
I’m a tea drinker through & through but I like one coffee a day just to keep in with the coffee drinkers! Love a cappucino if only because I like making silly faces with my frothy moustache to my 4 year old son…..kids, the pair of us
I have 7 or 8 cups of coffee a day, My preferred kind is flat white.
We drink cups and cups instant coffee daily-simple and quick but when in need of a true coffee fix on a special occassion a nice espresso is the go
I drink 3-5 cups a day I’ve been told to cut down. Enjoy those flavoured satches coffees.
Usually just the one kick starter in the morning – oooohh yes! Gotta love that… and my fav is from a place in Manly called Barefoot – they use Toby’s Estate…
I just love to sit down and relax with a Irish Cream plunger coffee in the afternoon.
