My favourite Easter treat is Hot Cross Buns (chocolate is an all season sort of thing for me). Easter usually involves me making lots of different types of hot cross buns depending on my mood, all made with a base from my popular bakery style hot cross bun recipe.

I came up with the idea of matching hot cross buns to starsigns when I started asking Mr NQN and my friends about what sort of topping they like on their hot cross buns and it was an offhand remark by a friend about being a Gemini (savoury and sweet aka cheddar and plum) that I realised that I could match hot cross bun fillings to astrological signs. I did some research into each sign and I think that I arrived at a topping list to suit each zodiac sign!

I used the fruit less ones for the savoury avocado and sesame and bacon and egg toppings. The chocolate ones suited the peanut butter and jam with chia and pomegranate which were more breakfasty.

Personal Note

"Did you call him?" we said excitedly.

"No, in my experience people that only talk about your physical characteristics never last very long," she said, quite rightly. She didn't want to waste her time on someone that just liked her physical assets.

"I did however look him up. He is selling a boat but it's fallen into quite a state of disrepair. Also NOT a good sign!" she said before adding, "I think he might have failing eyesight. I'm more an ancient goddess than a goddess!". Like me, Queen Viv is a Taurus and we like the finer things in life. Like flowers, jewellery and hot cross buns with delicious toppings!
