Candy Corn Kebabs

I ate my first candy corn last year - it was cute, but basically just sugar. I can see the nostalgia; they're utterly tied up with Halloween in the US, so I decided to make an Aussie version using fruit: pineapple, rockmelon and banana. I'd planned to use fresh pineapple but it never ripened in time, and tinned works perfectly well.

An Original Recipe by Lorraine Elliott

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 0 minutes

  • 1 banana
  • 1 pineapple or 400g/14oz. tin of pineapple rings
  • 1/2 rockmelon

Step 1 - Candy corn is a small tri coloured triangular shaped piece of candy. You want the pineapple on the bottom so the largest piece is the pineapple, then the rockmelon and then cut the banana into a triangle and thread onto a skewer.
