Looking for a delicious weekend home food project? Try making your own pasta or noodles! All you need is flour and water and you're close to a delicious pasta or noodle dish. You also don't need a pasta roller for most of these. Here are recipes for hand-made pici, ramen, udon, strozzapreti or biang biang noodles!
Pici is the perfect pasta to make for beginners! It's a thicker version of spaghetti that is hand rolled and has a wonderful chewy texture to it. Plus it is fun to roll!
There's nothing quite like fresh ramen and making your own is so easy! This is made using a pasta roller but is so satisfyingly textured and delicious. Your ramen will never be the same again :)
Who doesn't love udon noodles, those thick, white noodles that are great for stir fries or soups! This is a crazy udon recipe where you use your feet to knead the dough (it's in a bag, don't worry). Perfect for getting your steps in too!
Strozzapreti is one of my favourite pasta and not just because it has the best story behind it! These "priest stranglers" pasta is served with a divine prawn and tomato pasta sauce!
Last but not least is one of my favourite recipes. Biang biang noodles are thick, belt style noodles and they are perfect for winter. It's one of those recipes that is fun to make especially in pairs or groups plus this recipe is also vegan!
So tell me Dear Reader, have you ever made your own pasta or noodles?
