Cinnamon whisky, brown sugar, lemon juice and hot water ingredients

Hot or boiling water - Start with water from a recently boiled kettle.

Cinnamon whisky - Fireball whisky is an easy to find cinnamon whisky. It also comes in two sizes if you don't want a large bottle of it.

Brown sugar - Use light brown sugar or maple syrup to keep it vegan.

Lemon juice - Fresh lemon juice is best for hot toddies for the Vitamin C.

Ingredients Needed

  • 150ml/5fl oz hot or boiling water
  • 30ml/1oz cinnamon whisky
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Step-By-Step Instructions

Step 1 MIX - Pour hot water into glass and swirl to heat up the glass. Discard water and add fresh hot water (150ml/5fl oz hot or boiling water). Stir in whisky (30ml/1oz cinnamon whisky), brown sugar (1 tablespoon brown sugar) and lemon juice (2 teaspoons lemon juice) and serve hot.

Step 2 TASTE - Taste for balance. Everyone is different and you may like your hot toddy sweeter or with more whisky!
