Where to Eat in Chippendale
Chippendale has a habit of turning a simple catch-up into something much more interesting, whether that means an enormous cafe breakfast, warm sourdough from a corner bakery or a dinner where the cocktails arrive with smoke and theatre. Around its side streets, Central Park and Kensington Street, I have found everything from casual stops to memorable special-occasion meals.
101 Kissa is a bright, modern, sunny cafe on the corner of Meagher and Abercrombie streets in Chippendale. It has a large, dog-friendly outdoor section and a menu full of Japanese Asian Australian Fusion cafe fare. There's a jumbo lobster and scallop roll, curry chicken karaage panini and their signature butterfly pea flower rice with lobster, scallop and eel tamagoyaki with blue fried rice.
